Burbank hotels & places to stay

Couple things that were not expected at the time of booking this hotel. Per Mikado web-page and Agoda listing, this hotel offered free parking and free breakfast and that was reflected in booking confirmation. The booking was done on February 7th. At arrival on February 22nd we were informed that free parking and breakfast are not available starting February 1st. Well, the parking fee is quite descent, $5 per night and because of they did not informed us correctly in advance of free stuff, we’ve been offered one day complimentary breakfast. Thanks to lady at front desk. The room was clean and nice, the hotel location is convenient, staff is friendly and polite. The issues with lights in the room were quickly fixed after we informed front desk. Agoda price per night for this hotel was the lowest what was available on line. I would recommend this hotel but make sure what is really included in your booking.

Hotel was very close to major sightseeing spots in Burbank/LA (e.g. Dolby theater, walk of fame, Gruman's, etc.). Room was clean and bathroom spacious - staff cleaned every day and left it looking nice and clean. TV, microwave and fridge worked well. AC/heat turned on quickly and blew out strong air. Only negative is that it is quite close to the train tracks, as other reviews have mentioned, but honestly after a long day of walking around the city I slept like a rock each night

We reserved this hotel because it was close to our daughter's home. It's also close to the Burbank airport (and Universal Studios, which we did not visit). The rooms were clean and our room happened to be bigger than a two-queen bed room in most hotels. Our room faced a busy street, but no worries; the windows were well insulated and there was no road noise. The breakfast was exceptional for this type of hotel. By far, the best feature was the staff; so friendly and helpful. The only downer was that we thought we might use the pool, but it was indoor and extremely small.

three of us rented a room with 3 beds in the Colony Inn for a training we were taking in the area. The room was spacious. The amenities are very basic, but it was all we needed - clean comfortable beds and a bathroom. The lighting and outlet placement was a little funny, but it worked. We were really only there to sleep and change clothes. Management was really nice and helpful. We did not try the breakfast. The large room had two heating/A/C units that we could control and weren't annoyingly loud. Plus the windows opened so we could choose fresh air. The area felt safe and the hotel is well lighted. If I need to be in this area of LA again, i would definitely stay here.

I was traveling with a family group (5) here is what I can see this hotel needs room for improvement: supply more towels, if you don’t vacuum every day at least do some dusting. I made a personal complain at the front desk the lady was quickly to resolve my issue. She said I will enter your request in the system. Housekeeping never picked up the garbage from the carpet. Out of the five people, I was the only one having breakfast. It was delicious though more strawberries or any other berries would be great. Also, I was using the gym very clean and stock up. Please don’t get me wrong, we had a great time. Your hotel can improve.

Our flight arrived into LA late at night. We got to the hotel and checked in after midnight. The check in process was really fast. The room was clean. Bathroom was a little too small, but clean. And the most important of all, the bed was very comfortable and clean. Breakfast has good selections: sausages, biscuits & gravy, orange juice, coffee & tea, etc.. Everything looks and smells NEW. We had a great stay at this hotel.

The owner asked me what kind of drugs I did and when I told him I don't do drugs. He then asked if I drank in which I told him I did not. He found it strange and asked how I handled stress as if it is normal to do drugs or drink to handle anything. I told him I only drink to celebrate and he said that that was strange. I booked an all female room but this room is accessed by guys and the bathroom has no privacy. A Russian women, who lives in the female dorm permanently was up late and really loud and obnoxious. I checked out early because I could not stand being there any longer. I am in the process of seeking a refund because I was charged an additional processing fee without cause. I did not book a bed in a mixed dorm and I was unaware that this was a drug house. DO NOT BOOK A ROOM HERE NO MATTER HOW CHEAP IT IS. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!

Good things to say - room was clean, comfy bed, some complimentary toiletry available, complimentary cofee and tea, good breakfast, good location of the hotel itself. BAD thing - only one, but really disappointing - customer service. It made me feel that hotel`s staff is there not for helping guests, but for something else. My credit card was not properly read by their equipment so they were not able to book safety deposit (30 USD) at first try. So what did they do - they told me: "Well you can cancel your booking if your wish" and "We cannot check you in without having that safety deposit taken from your accout". That`s considering my room was prepaid. They didn`t propose any other option. I was asking them by my own initiative, what else can be done. They were not even trying to be nice or helpful, I mean, they are treating the guest like they have never wanted that guest to come and stay at their hotel. DISAPPOINTED! Do not recomment and will not stay there again!
