Basic accomodations”
Ok hotel. Kind of dirty walls in bathroom -no shower curtain -makes everything wet after shower -they have a rod and the rings so if you bring your own shower curtain (or raincoat) then there's no problem ;) Pretty quiet town generally but they do have the night market across the street and a coyote bar down the street -other than that not much to get crazy with. Pool lacks lounge chairs so if you want to lay in the sun stretch out on the unswept cement. The 'fitness center' is a collection of rejected exercise machines which now sits smack dab in the center of the front lobby. So, if your goal was to have fellow travellers gawk at you while you strain to to a sitting lat pull, then you'll be quite happy. Breakfast was ok, but I'm doing low carb right now so basically ate some scrambled eggs and sipped a water. Don't think I missed out on much. With all this said, I'd probably stay there again as its cheap and the people are nice. Picky or fussy people should avoid -if you are mai pen rai then this hotel would suit you fine.

thi hotel is a nice hotel in the city centre of korat. the rooms are basic but clean. the price was good. i would stay here again but not much to do in korat so not much chance of that.

always a great base in Thailand”
The rooms are great and i like the staff at reception, but the gym needs new management. It needs the air con to be used during the day because its so hot and unhealthy without. I've never trained in a gym with such poor understanding of health in the gym environment plus the staff are so lazy. They constantly like to moan and enforce stupid rules, but fail to manage the gym in a way that would create a more professional training facility. I am a personal trainer and have trained all over the world so i know what i am talking about. Its a serious breach of health and hygene requirements in my point of view! However, i still enjoy staying at the hotel and have been on many occasions.

My unfortunate choice of hotel ”
Before booking this hotel I considered its merits to be; The price, its location in the centre of the city, having the night market just across the road and a swimming pool. The hotel is advertised in its beautifully coloured brochure as the first class hotel located in the heart of Korat. Maybe it was a first class hotel 20- years ago. What with the wallpaper falling off, leaks from the a/c and a 20- year old fridge which had to be cleaned before putting the free water bottles in it. A 20-year old small TV which only had a few Thai channels and no satellite or cable. Wireless internet was connected in my room on the 9th floor but not enough speed to even open the Google web site page, even tried downstairs in the reception/lobby but again no result. Breakfast was a basic as you could get consisting of 2-toast, 2-fried eggs and sausage, tea/coffee. Swimming pool looked like it might have something lurking in the depths of the dark green deep end and might be better suited for fishing. There is a coffee shop restaurant in the car park where you can sit outside/ inside. The night market consisted of a few dozen stalls selling the usual stuff such as shoes and sunglasses. My other half did sing a few songs in the hotel karaoke and a dozen guests were in attendance was pleasantly surprised as a large bottle of Leo beer was only 55 baht, the only plus point of my stay. I booked 2-nights in this hotel which was a mistake on my part, a shame really because this hotel has so much potential.

A Conveient place”
This was easily a 5-Star Hotel during its heydays, which was 45 years ago. Its like stepping into a time machine the moment I walked into this hotel. Well, some may argue that it is a very run down place but for me is more nostalgic than anything else. There was never any pretentious setting to cover its age. Its located just next to the night market and both new and old Klang Plazas. There are ample parking available if there are no seminars or gathering by the guests. With its rate, what else can we complain about?

Formally a quality hotel has deteriorated . The carpets on landings were stained. My Tv electric connection was dead and they did nothing about it. Internet wifi was almost unusable and the pool looked murky and no sunbeds were available.

Ok for a person just above Backpacker - Not for anyone looking for at least Basic levels of comfort - the staff were really good - and helpful. Just needs a renovation. Stayed at the Korat Hotel for the same price - 10 times the quality

Operational night stop ”
I've stayed here for the first time 27 years ago when this place had its peak reputation. Meanwhile it has been just fixed up over and over and over again. The bathtub was ripped out, tiled up and the hot water system was quick-fixed with a hot water heater on the wall without grounding wire. The air-condition rattled its duty through the night without we sweated - both did not contribute to a good night's rest. The beds are well worn to say the least and the breakfast (at 7.30 am) consisted of completely cold fried eggs cooked hours before, Boncafé coffee boiling in a glass jug with an extremely bitter smell and the rice soup was more soup than rice. With a THB 500 note in hand I was asking for fresh coffee, freshly cooked fried eggs and some fresh toast or some new rice soup - the elder lady in charge of the breakfast bitched at us that for this price it's what you see is what you get. We opted to have breakfast outside. No more; this place is ready for a take/make over! And in doing so, get a make-over on the entire staff except the room maids as well!

When did they last fully cleane the rooms?”
There is no availble fitness centre as advertised. The pool was disgusting and it could not be used. It has good location but of the four rooms I checked all had 6 months plus of dust and mould in the bathroom. You need to supply your own shower curtain which is ok with me. We lasted 4 nights using two rooms but moved to new accommodation for the last 5 days also with great location. The hotel seemed good value but its cleanliness changes this. This my lowest ever rating after travelling 8 of the last 12 months in Thailand.

Not good. Hotel bad conditions such as air condition not cool, no kettle, no hair dryer. Not convenient to stay there. Few minutes walk to shop and night market but a lot of flies. Front desk and staff don't know any English. Hot water only available at the restaurant.

I stayed 4 days, played golf twice at the Army golf course, very nice 9 hole course. Somewhat easy to find song tieos( truck taxis, buses) to get to the mall and to the zoo
