"I chosed RB Park because of its location first and then its value for money which.is higher than for other similarly starred hotels. It looks apparently far from Monastiraki and Plaka (THE touristic areas of Athens) but in fact they are just 18 mn far by walk or 2 metro stops. the green line serve Piraeus port (if you arrive/leave from there) and connects with blue line to airport in 1h total travel time. 300 mt from hotel there's the "unknown" bus departure point to/from Rafina port. so excellent and unbeatable location. all of this with the comfort of silent BIG rooms (maybe noise AC to check), some of them with Acropolis view for free and others with balconies. i have been offered breakfast at discounted rate and it was complete and largely rich. personnel very friendly and helpfulf as much as they can (from restaurant to reception, passing through maids). Powerful wifi signal. sweeties and water offered at arrival. wonderful pool with view can be very helpful in hot and humid summer days in Athens. Very nice arrival area for decoration. What else? I will be surely back!"

"The first room we get is with two beds. One was a little bigger but still very small for two persons and because the air conditioning wasn't working either we asked for another room. This room had also two beds but one was big enough for two persons. The air conditioning was working but only could set it to low, med, high. In all positions very noisy and no setting for temperature. The rooms are small. The bathroom was small too and the shower the smallest I have seen so far. The breakfast was ok for me. The hotel is at walking distance to the metro and train which was the reason why I booked the hotel."

"Stayed here a total of 6 days on trip to Greece. In the centre of 02 metro station(including straight line to airport as part of the Olympic Games requirement) , buses to connect to everywhere. Straight line to downtown. Great neighbourhood. Less dodgy than downtown and Syntagma Square. Safe area at night. Simple breakfast spread. Rooms are a little old, but good enough. Request for higher floors for great views of Athens, request for lower floors if you want more space to put your bags. Very recommended! "

"Hotel Rio was good enough for our few nights in Athens. The bathroom was small enough to sit on the toilet while brushing your teeth, but it had a hot shower and the essentials. The A/C in our room was out so we had to open the windows for fresh air, only to have the smoke from the smokers outside to waft into our room. Neither of us are smokers, so it was quite bothersome after trying to avoid smoke as much as possible throughout the day, and then not be able to get away from it at night either. It was very convenient to the subway station; only a 2 minute walk. "
