"In overall it was a pleasant stay. I was with my 3 friends in Hong Kong. We were there for 6 days but only stayed in Ramada on the last night. Check in was easy however one of the room wasnt ready so we put all of our luggage in the 1st room first. It wasnt a big deal though. Rooms was clean, breakfast was simple but had all the necessaries. The best part was the location. Its near Tsim Sha Tsui MRT and also walking distance to attractions like Kowloon Mosque, The Avenue of Stars, Star Ferries and a few MTR stops to The Peak. I would consider staying there again when I return to Hong Kong and wanted to stay in the central area."

"I would say it is the Best Price ever if you would like to have a short stay in Hong Kong only for some good sleeping time every night. The location is fantastic. You can walk to Centre. The variety and food around the hotel are good and value for money. Hong Kong is small! You can not expect to have a large room like when you are doing a budget traveling in United States of America. Definitely worth it even though the space is small but, it is the best price ever in Hong Kong in a 4-star hotel. Good customer service! Excellent! "

"My wife and I lived in Hong Kong twice, for a total of four years. For most of that time we lived at mid-level on the Victoria side, and we loved the view we had, day and night. There are many more luxurious and famous hotels in Hong Kong, but at Bishop Lei we can have an excellent hotel, at a very reasonable price. We like the small but functional suites which have a bedroom with floor-to-ceiling windows. In the daytime we can look down on the Governor’s house and Central, with lots of greenery too. At night we have a fabulous view! The staff is efficient there is a good outdoor swimming pool, and the location, at the top of the Hong Kong escalator is perfect. In the morning we can take the escalator down, and in the evening or afternoon take it up. There are many good restaurants in the lively Lan Kwai Fong area along the escalator path, so it is easy to go out for dinner without having to go very far. The hotel also has a regular shuttle service to downtown and airport express."

"It was quite a walk up the steep slopes and stairs, but hey, it is hong kong after all right? Though the hotel was found sandwiched between two other building, it stood out due to it's small build making it easy to find. Entering the hotel, we were greeted with a very beautifully lobby area which was furnished with modern and contemporary furniture. There were two imacs available for use and even a piano, which i was very much tempted to play but my next to zero instrumental skills prevented me. We were briskly checked in and showed to our room by the efficient, if not so friendly, staffs there. We weren't exactly shocked by the size of the room, having done our research prior to booking the room. In fact, i actually felt that it was better than i'd expected it to be! It would've been very annoying to move around if we had brought big luggages but we were only travelling with backpacks so it wasn't really much of a hassle for us! Besides, when you're in hong kong you wouldn't be staying in that much since there's lots to do. Aside from that, i actually like the fact that the toilet had clear glass walls. It allowed me to watch the telly, not that there was anything to watch actually considering the limited channels they have, and go about my big business all at the same time. Also, toiletries was not provided but can be easily bought from a dispenser at the ground floor, Overall, we're really satisfied with our stay there. It was a really nice hotel with an affordable price. Unless you really don't enjoy small spaces i'm pretty sure you'll like the place! Well, we definitely did and wouldn't mind coming back if i were to visit hong kong again!"

"In Hong Kong hotels are very expensive, so as a solo traveler staying for almost two weeks I started to look for hostels. And I am so happy I found YHA, which is probably the best value hostel I ever stayed in. Opened in 2013, the facilities are brand new and very clean. There is a public housing museum in the same facilities, which explains the expensive renovation that YHA went through. It is a heritage site, really. Great layout and a great cafeteria with decent breakfast given the cheap dormitory rooms. Do not miss out to hike up the hill located just in the back of the hostel for a great view over Kowloon. Interesting location in Sham Shui Po - one of the oldest and more shady neighbourhoods in Hong Kong. But still only 10 minutes subway ride from the skyscrapers in Central."

"The Burlington was a pleasant surprise! Most hotels in Hong Kong are expensive and relatively small, and this was small, but it was great quality at a great price. It was very clean, comfortable, and modern. The staff were friendly, helpful, and very efficient! It’s in a great location on Hong Kong Island, and it was a really easy getting from the airport because the bus (A22) practically drops off right in front of the hotel! And it’s only like a 10-15 minute walk to the Hong Kong Convention Center. There are a ton of nice, cheap places to eat, a very convenient place to stay. I especially appreciated the complimentary Handy phone they include in every room, a cellphone with 4G that was super nice to have for navigation and communication while going around the city...much better than buying a sim and worrying about reception and running out of data. Overall, we were very pleased, and hope to stay at The Burlington again when we go back HK."

"A group of 4 of us stayed in the newly renovated family room for 5 days. Everything was superb! The entire hotel had strong air conditioning which is a blessing in humid Hong Kong weather. We were a 5 minute walk away from the Times Square shopping area and had extremely easy access to calling taxis (which are very affordable in Hong Kong or the hotel can call you a taxi if you can't catch one) or buses/vans/MTR stations. There is a Sharetea and McDonalds down the block for people trying to minimize their daily walking. Everyone overall speaks English well and are very courteous. They will ask you for a 1,000 HKD cash security deposit for the room and it will be a quick 5 minute process to check the room/ return it to you when you check out. Cleaning ladies are the sweetest and do a very thorough job (vacuum everything down to the last speck of dust) and the gym has great variety. Will definitely stay at Charterhouse again the next time I visit HK. Thanks!"

"I had an unexpected extra night in Hong Kong so chose this hotel as it is quite new and was cheap. The lobby design is nice and big, check in was very quick. Yes the rooms are very small, mine had a double bed that basically filled the room and the bathroom had a half bath in it, which may have been better suited for just a shower and the bed was quite hard however the room design was new, it was clean, quiet and was fine for the 1 night I had there. If I had to spend a single night in Hong Kong I would have no problem going back there. If I was in Hong Kong for multiple nights I would probably choose a hotel with a bigger room."

"I had a comfortable stay at the Rambler Garden Hotel. I got a good price for the three nights I stayed ($65.00 US at the time). I must say that if you can catch the hotel at a quiet moment, which might be impossible thanks to all the massive tour groups from the Chinese mainland, its got a helpful staff that tries its best dealing with such groups and the individual traveler. There are two negatives to this place: the first is the WiFi. Agoda says it has the service, but you have to go down to the lobby to use it. The lobby has no place to sit for this comfortably, only hard wood benches. I can understand the logistics of trying to wire up a massive hotel for WiFi that has 800 rooms. I heard there was in-room WiFi available, but it's expensive. The only really hard time I had was leaving the hotel. There aren't cabs available before 8am, and I had to get up early to get on the Tsing Yi MRT to the airport and its the cabs that get you there if you don't want to wait for hotel shuttle. I wound up hauling my luggage up the entrance ramp to the local bus stop and hailing down a cab there. The hotel makes it easy to get to the sights of Hong Kong though, the shuttle makes runs to the Ladies Market and Mong Kok, as well as offering service to Hong Kong Disneyland. There were no noise issues, you just have to get used to the view. Oh yeah, the view. I was on the 30th floor. The design of the building exposes you to the outdoors as you walk to your room down the hallway. The starboard side of the hallway gives you an unobstructed (and somewhat unprotected) view of the harbor, adjacent buildings and the sheer 300 foot drop to the pool below. If you are affraid of heights, ask for a lower floor. For an introduction to Hong Kong, it was a good hotel, but I'd like a hotel with better connections to the MRT. Knowing what I know of the Rambler Garden, I'd stay there again, but not at the prices currently listed. "
