"A warm and friendly welcome by the staff from bellhop to guest relation officer. Food quality was consistent at breakfast (room service) and lunch (buffet). It is a lovely resort with beautiful views of the sea with some pretty bird life, sharing our breakfast. My husband photographed a big green Mauritius Day gecko. Perfect location for both short or long stay in Mauritius!"

"We had taken the Beach View room. Pros - Large room with big bath tub - Scenic view of Beach direct from room - very nice food - clean - friendly staff - good Beach facilities Cons - Very expensive food - TV was old and didn't have video playback from USB Overall, it was a very enjoyable stay and I recommend this to anyone looking to have a nice and peaceful time in Mauritius. It is located on the South West coast so it is very calm and has beautiful Scenic views on the roads leading to nearby villages and tourist attractions. For food, you can have breakfast at the hotel and lunch and dinner at nearby restaurants which are at cycling/motorable distances as food is over priced in the hotel. The restaurants in South close by 7:30/8:00 so plan accordingly. It is best to rent a car and roam around in Mauritius."

"The staff were excellent: very friendly and helpful. The location is 15 mins walks south from Point Jerome, and 15 mins walk north from Blue Bay. There is very good snorkeling straight off the beach. For me, this was a relatively expensive choice. I had higher expectations than I usually have, and this is reflected in the feedback below. I was there on half board. The food was only average; the dinners were not of high quality and the serving sizes were small. e.g. the bread given was dry on one side, like it has been cut hours earlier. The breakfast was cold buffet only; you had to pay extra for eggs etc. I would suggest walking to Blue Bay for lunch, where the cost was similar or less, and the food of higher quality. Snorkeling was included, but they did not have sufficient equipment. The 1st day I could only secure a mask (no snorkel). The 2nd day I got a mask and snorkel, but there was only one option and it did not fit well. "

"Please keep in mind, by Oct/19, Mauritius didn't have an organized taxi hailing service, no uber or any other such companies operate in Mauritius. that make it very difficult to move around in Mauritius. the Hotel is located about 16km out of capital city and two km away from cybercity. I had to take busses to both places due to lack of taxi services and those you find also ask exorbitant rates, a Mauritian lady specifically warned me of taxi drivers trying to charge very high amounts from visitors. If you are visiting on business, better to look for a place close to the business venue, In my case it was the issue I had. The Plams hotel itself had some pros and cons. rooms are spacious and clean. however only basic amenities were available. the Breakfast was so basic, I only had two options and fruit served was not even fresh. I wish I can post some pictures here of the breakfast table."

"Good: - rooms are clean - rooftop bar looks nice with a ocean view - waiters, chefs and cleaning ladies are nice Bad: - My hot water in my room was not consistent. We even had to shower in other rooms 4 times, because of no hot water. - No shower caps for my girlfriend - The ocean view from the rooms is a lie. There is a ugly high building in front the hotel. - The size of the pool is really small. Every other guest I spoke was shocked by the size, cause it looks bigger on the pictures. Nobody used it because of the small size. - One midweek day the hotel got a dinerreservation of some indian moviecrew. They were screaming and stomping like animals until 00:30h. After that moving tables and chairs till 01:00h. The bar normally closes at 23:00h I had to be up by 07:00h for a tour. I called them to complain, they did nothing. Next day I complained again about it and got a diner at the rooftop. A diner with a preselected menu and no drinks included. WTF! Bad experience for me."
