"It is literally one of the few hostels I loved the most during my solo trip around Europe and the world. It has private rooms and shared bedrooms but all without bunk beds, that it also help you feeling you are in a normal 3stars Hotel. The rooms are very cleaned, there is lot of fresh air coming from the windows and they are covered with mosquito nets. The hostel has also a bar and offers a very nice breakfast selection with super good juices and smoothies. Davide and his staff are very nice people and always ready to help you out and they welcomed me in a very nice way. I felt home. The hostel is right in the city center, 5 mins from the bus stop to the beaches and to the airport and 15/20 mins from the old town super reachable by foot. I really recommend this hostel for private stay or shared ones as it is super comfortable. Thank you!"

"After reading a lot of good reviews about Amathus Beach Hotel Rhodes my expectations were very high. My expectations were however not met during our stay. Let's start with the bad stuff. We stayed in Bungalow 1, which was perfectly situated on the top floor with a big balcony. The room standard was not great though, the bathroom door did not close and our double bed was two twin beds pushed together with a big gap between the matrasses. The decor was really outdated, not at all 5 star standard. The selection of tv channels was awful (business news channels and eurosport) and the internet connection was only available in certain spots, not in our room. The hotel restaurants had a strict dress code for men which we found ridiculous: no t-shirts, shorts or sandals. Luckily there are a lot of other restaurants on the main street outside of the hotel, and a lot of supermarkets as well. Some things were great during our stay at Amathus. There are two pools, one on the 11th floor which was crowded with children and oblivious parents, and one on the ground floor next to the beach, where no kids are allowed. The ground floor pool was great and the bar service there as well. The beach was accessible by a tunnel under the busy main road, which I liked. I would recommend going to the beach rather than the pool, you can get bar service at the beach too. Borrowing beach towels was free of charge, you could pick a new one up as often as you liked in the spa on the ground floor. The breakfast buffet was really good, there was something for everyone to enjoy and it wasn't too crowded. Our evenings were spent on the balcony of the 11th floor bar, during happy hour with 50% off, perfectly timed to the sunset. While there you have to order the strawberry mojito, it was amazing. Overall, it was a good relaxing stay but I would not give this hotel a 5 star rating."
