Where to stay in Santiago De Compostela
Santiago De Compostela hotels & accommodations
Staff very helpful at all times. Good bar:restaurant service. An exceptional location, linked to the founding purpose of Santiago itself.
it's located in the center of Santiago de Compostela. If you want to look around the historic center and old town, this is the hotel you may want to stay. Nice decoration in the old monastery building.
We really enjoyed our staying at NH collection in Santiago de Compostela; great service, staff was very attentive and knowledgeable but location is a bit off the main attractions.
Stylish and modern hotel in the heart of Santiago de Compostela. Comfortable bed and well appointed room. Friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast/cafe open 24 hours. I was extremely pleased with this hotel and would recommend it highly.
Close to the old part of town. Standard good value hotel. Staff were helpful, location was great and the price OK.
Very convenient location. Room was very hot and there was no aircon, fan or a window that would stay open. I didn't ask for a fan as my request for an iron was a complete disaster of incomprehension. There was no signage for the door to say "do not clean" so cleaning staff just walked in while I was still in bed. Even after I told reception not to service my room, t...
Stone throw from cathedral ,room very small but compact with all essential toiletries provided . Friendly and helpful staff even though can’t communicate well in English . Very noisy till earlier morning 4.00 am with people talking , shouting and singing on the street .
The hotel is in a good location with friendly staff. Breakfast is continental with the staff offering fresh orange juice. The hotel is of a modern design BUT the walls are very thin. We could hear what the woman next door on the phone was saying and even the person on the other endwas saying. The bathroom has a shower with a clear glass side, so if your partner is in t...
Nice hotel and good location however there was no way of controlling the room temperature, it’s was too hot and the weather wasn’t great which meant opening the window was ideal (windy/raining) we did request the changed the temperature but the couldn’t do anything about it. We also ate in the bar, food wasn’t up to much for the price, if you like good quality eat in t...
I have recently returned from a 4 day stay at the Mafer B&B. Overall I really enjoyed the experience. Location to the centre of Santiago excellent, staff excellent, efficient and friendly. I had emailed a very specific request and received a return email acknowledging my request. Two issues to note though 1) the noise level at night from young revellers can be pretty b...
The location of the apartment is accessible from the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela and it's less than 10 minutes walk. The room is cosy for 3 and we are very comfortable in it. It has very modern amenities and it works well. We could wash our clothes in the apartment. However, we are not Spanish so had a little trouble understanding the language on the washer. Th...
Catedral Suites is an excellent choice while staying in Santiago.
nunca pagará ese precio por zumo de naranja, café y croissant en una cafetería. El resto, excelente. Me molesta los precios "escondidos".
Close to cathedral and, local restaurant, bar.we are doing,Camino walked from Saria and, finished,in Santiago.
The hotel in the shopping center area. But it is close at 8pm and open 10am. Near the bus station, so you can go anywhere. The taxi to the airport is only 9.7km. I have nive view to the hill. So, I enjoy it.
...our clear pledge not to enter the room. She even came into the room and switched off the van, when we have left for a walk, but we wanted to have more fresh air by leaving window open and keeping the van switched on... The breakfast is worthless and she entered the room without waiting for approval, too. We forgot a sleeping bag for our child and a Spanish friend ca...
I stayed here with my parents in July. The check-in was really easy and we also took advantage of the €10 parking. Although our rooms were designed quite differently, the decor was consistently impressive. The hotel is on the ruta and there is a cafe/bar on the ground floor. Noise isn't a concern however thanks to the effective double glazing. Altogether this is a gre...
Overall a nice way to end the Camino. At 30 Euros including breakfast this was very good value for money. The room on the top floor and had views of the Cathedral Towers. Staff were very helpful and remembered me when returning the key each time I returned. Breakfast was basic but filling.
Excellent location, 5 minute walk to old town. Easy to find & hotel has parking arrangements with secure parking 200 metres from hotel.
It is the second time we stay there after walking the Camino de Santiago. Staff is fantastic, especially Maria and Miguel. Very close to the cathedral and a very cheap ride from the train station.
Fantastic location about 300 m from the cathedral and in the middle of the old city. Service was excellent and rooms good size. Value for money was excellent.it is about a 25 minute walk to the railway station. Definitely recommend to anyone.we are a middle aged couple
Perfect location for us who did the Camino de Santiago. Very close to everything. Only downside is the room is on the small side.
This hotel is located at the entrance of the city, making it handy to the airport and the congress centre. However, it is not in a good location for a tourist as it is 3-4 kms from the city centre. There is no shuttle service available and therefore you will have to pay for a taxi (€15-20 each time) or walk for 30 minutes to reach the centre. The Internet charge is not...
everything was good: wifi, hot water, bed. there's a grocery store and restaurants on the same block. the hotel is just down the hill from the cathedral. like most hotels in this price range, the walls are thin.
Great For a hostel it was spacious and very clean. Also very central
The hostess served our ramyeon the supermaket in village is not good.
Very clean but away from restaurant or cafe and hard to have dinner and have to buy something before checking in. Staff very helpful and room is very nice, worth to stay
Cheap places to stay in Santiago De Compostela
Very clean and new hostel. Near downtown. Nice staff.
The ladies working reception were so friendly and helpful. The bed was comfortable, but there is so much noise from the street. Even with ear plugs, sleep was impossible on the loud Saturday night until the streets cleared around 4am. The hostel itself is a rest value. Definitely recommend!
Great For a hostel it was spacious and very clean. Also very central
Very nice owners and English speaking manager lady. Very cosy rooms with own shower and toilet. Located in the heart of the city centre, therefore it can be quite nosy during the night. Good overall stay.
The hostess served our ramyeon the supermaket in village is not good.
A decent spot for those wanting something a little on the cheap side after the camino. It's not 5 star, but nothing on the Camino was anyway, right?
everything was good: wifi, hot water, bed. there's a grocery store and restaurants on the same block. the hotel is just down the hill from the cathedral. like most hotels in this price range, the walls are thin.
Staff is helpful Only 1 bus to city centerno. 6 and the bus stop is right in front of the hotel

Really liked everything except I could not stay connected the wifi for longer than 3 minutes without the signal dropping.
For what we wanted, this place was excellent. A comfortable place to unwind after a day's walking. Friendly, welcoming, friendly staff. At the other end of town from the main bus station, but quite close to the railway. Internet and television (only Spanish / Gallician).
The hotel in the shopping center area. But it is close at 8pm and open 10am. Near the bus station, so you can go anywhere. The taxi to the airport is only 9.7km. I have nive view to the hill. So, I enjoy it.
Close to the old part of town. Standard good value hotel. Staff were helpful, location was great and the price OK.
It was nice to stay in the quitet location in the old town Santiago de compostela.
I warmly recommend this hotel. The rooms are comfortable. Do ask for a second key if you are sharing your room as reception closes early, and you might end up on the street if your room companion has fallen asleep. The staff was really friendly and helpful. From my room I could see the cathedral nearby.
The hotel is small, but clean, comfortable, and renovated. Shower, good water pressure, plenty of hot water. Bed, comfortable. Heater in room. Noise level normal for hotels in most countries, bring ear-plugs. Restaurants around the corner, the daily menus are affordable and good value, great food! The staff were friendly and very helpful. (a washing machine is being i...

It's right next to the old town on the ring road. Restaurants nearby and the hotel also serves coffee. The room is a little small but comfortable and clean. Front rooms need earplugs if you need the window open.
One of the cosiest apartment that i've stayed at. The apartmebt has everything. Kitchen was complete. There was a washing machine. Beds were comfortable. Very close to the cultural hub of Santiago de Compostela.
great
Excellent location, 5 minute walk to old town. Easy to find & hotel has parking arrangements with secure parking 200 metres from hotel.
Great Hotel, with a decent location, just a small stroll from all the action. I was supreised that the hotel bar closed before eleven on Saturday night and they didn't offer a mini bar in the room. Liam

I stayed at Pr A Nosa Casa at the end of my Camino. It was a short walk from the Cathedral and near to shops and eateries. The train station is about 500m away. It is within the historic town of Santiago. The breakfast was OK. The room was very clean and bright although a little small. The bathroom was a squeeze.
Overall a nice way to end the Camino. At 30 Euros including breakfast this was very good value for money. The room on the top floor and had views of the Cathedral Towers. Staff were very helpful and remembered me when returning the key each time I returned. Breakfast was basic but filling.

Although one of the higher end hotels in Santiago I thought it was great value for money for comfort and general standard.

3-4 days is plenty of time to see this city. The vast majority of travelers come here via the Camino de Santiago, so the cathedral is clearly the high point of the trip.
It is avery small city but unique and special. The cathedtal is a very special place, reminds me of two things, the vatican and harry potter.
