Best hotels & accommodations in São Paulo

First time to comment on any hotel, Grand Hyatt São Paulo is great in so many ways: staff, location, the gym. However, the internet (WiFi) was not good during our stay, which could be embarrassing for business travelers. But, really appreciate all the staff that helped us to solve the WiFi issue.

Good area. Safe to walk around. Helpful well-trained staff. Beautiful lobby. Expensive hotel and irritatingly they charge for wifi. Also charge a fine if you take and lose an umbrella! Hotel Resto in beautiful space but food not great. Not awful, just rather mediocre. Lots of good Restos in Sao Paolo so better to eat out.

I had a good experience when lodging at this hotel, no complainst but just the very limited size of the room I took. The location was ideal as I like to walk around the city, safe and well groomed, the hotel was perfect for a starting point when touring Sao Paulo. The hotel staff was always friendly and helpful, corteous and educated, responses to my request were alway...

The only good thing about this hotel is the location, it ends pretty much there! Not worth the money, room or staff behaviour. Breakfast spread is limited & it is exactly the same menu everyday morning. Staff needs a lot of training & probably a course on etiquettes & customer orientation. I was supposed to stay for the longer duration, but after my initial stay of 3 d...

the hotel is within walking distance to the Centre Norte convention centre, also next to the shopping mall. it is good for exhibitor / visitors for the convention centre. the only thing need to be improved is the breakfast with limited choices.

Most of common corporate hotels are somewhat in safe segment of stay in a way. I've chosen Melia Paulista Hotel because of location but, was not sure about the service, quality, or any other informations. 1. Location is just perfect in the middle of Paulista avenue being able to be in walkable distant to all key areas; downtown, Jardine, and Penheiro...etc. Sao Paulo ...

Good service, friendly staff,ok breakfast, I would recommend for the great location near all the new Itaim Bibi area where became one of the most frequented areas for the pretty young brazilian people...Also close to all the business places in the city of Sao Paulo

We were lucky and got upgraded from a standard room to a suite. Hotel is located centrally and within walking distance of historical Sao Paulo. Subway is a 5 min walk from the hotel. Taxi from the airport was BRL 110. All staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful.

I stayed at Bourbon Convention Center for business in Sao Paulo. The hotel was very nice from the lobby to the rooms. Excellent service on hotel needs as well as recommendations/service for out of hotel activities. The food was excellent and the breakfast buffet was included and very extensive.

That was wonderful hotel at location, cleaning, especially price. I love it so much and will use their service next time if I will be in Sao Paulo again. The location is very close to Sao Paulo Domestic airport and also easy to go to main street. The room is also very clean and comfortable for relax.

Our stay at the sofitel Sao Paulo was really very pleasant. After a very nice welcome at the reception we were guided to our very nice room which did not lack anything. The hotel service was always very good and everybody was extremely friendly. There was a nice pool with service and a bar and a cafe, so everything can make your stay pleasant. It is a pity that there a...

I visited Sao Paulo for a short city break and the InterContinental was recommended by a friend as she has stayed previously and enjoyed her stay. The hotel have friendly staff who were always willing to help, the hotel is clean and ht ebed is comfortable. Good location with easy access to the city centre, I would stay here again.

The room was new (or renovated), clean and very wide. Staff who speaks English in the restaurant was only one. If you speak Portuguese it is better to communicate staffs. However, front staffs and someone speak English. So, it is not so inconvenient. Room making is also perfect. If you have friend in Sao Paulo or you have business Bom Retiro area, this hotel is highly ...

I stayed in Sao Paulo for the World cup and found it to be a very interesting city with loads to see. The hotel had inflated its prices like all the other hotels. The hotel is clean and the reception was friendly and spoke decent english. Im sure next time it would be cheaper. Overall a good location to explore the city and a metro station is 10 minutes away.

The hotel is convenient if you are going to attend meetings in the UN Center. The staff speaks and understands English, which is not so common in Brazil. No maps available, thus it it very difficult to go anywhere apart from going by taxi. Breakfast of average standard. You know what you get and what to expect, like at all large hotel chains. No surprises, neither good...
Cheapest hotels in São Paulo

Pros: Located just outside the metro station. Low price. Reception staff does not speak English but generally pleasant. Cons: Kitchen does not have a stove despite having a rice cooker, microwave and oven. Rooms and commons areas, especially toilets are dirty. Showers are almost non-existent, with most broken, in repairs and filled with storage items or just loc...

I booked the 15 people dorm on Agoda.com when i saw it was going on a very good deal. I initially had expected it to be ok for the price that I was paying but it was a lot worse than I thought.I was allocated to the room in the basement. When I saw the room, there were rubbish and personal belonging strewn on over the floor. No housekeeping for a few days maybe. What ...

It is your typical hostel. Clean and comfortable. Kitchen is sufficient. Location is good in terms of transportation as it is near Luz Metro(subway) and CPTM (train)station. I believe airport express bus is also nearby. The surroundings (not the hotel itself) are full of homeless people and you won't feel safe at night. Other than that it is recommended.

There is laundry bussiness beneath the hotel and its make the walls viberate and the back side of the hotel is very nosy because of that. Except that the hotel is high quality and the staff bery nice peaple. If you get room in the front i belive there wouldnt be nose

We stayed in a private double room. The room and bathroom were okay but on the small size. There was a refrigerator and a fan but it wasn't very powerful so we found the room very hot and stuffy. The bed sheets didn't fit properly and came off everytime you turned over. Staff were friendly and helpful, especially in emails before arrival. The room was not cleaned each ...

We initially booked 4 nights as this was us just arriving in Sao Paulo. We loved the city and decided to stay on - not once but twice. As O de Casa was such a great hostel in a really nice, safe, location we decided to remain here for the extended period. The nearest Metro Faria Lima is only 15 minute walk at most and there is a budget supermarket opposite there. A slig...

I had a room on the top floor overlooking the main road. There is traffic noise but it did not bother me too much as the room is air-conditioned. The condition of the room (room 601) and the hotel is rather old. The tap of the washing basin of my room keeps on dripping. The soap dish in the shower was tilted so it required a lot of skill to put a bar of soap on it. ...

All you need for a backpacker is Hot water shower and fast stable wifi. Hostel Vergueiro leaves you no complaint! Moreover, they provide breakfast with heart ( the best breakfast I've had in South America hostel), meals order per request with professional and delicious Chinese food, FREE water in the lobby, and the most important is hospitality owner and staffs! Talk w...

this hotel locates very close to the station "são bento," and very easy to access to wherever i wanted to go. in addition, there was policemen around there so that i felt kind of more security. the reception was good and people there were friendly and helpful. even though the room was not very clean, it was big enough to stay. the breakfast (café da manhã) was well pre...

This Hotel is very value and good stay for Business trip around this area. It very close to shopping mall and supermarket. And a lot of international food in the shopping mall. Breakfast in this Hotel is very good for testing. Room service and staff also very good.

There was some confusion with the booking (our reservation via Agoda was not received by the hotel before our arrival) and we had to wait for almost an hour for Agoda to fax our reservation to the hotel. So it will be good to check your reservation at the hotel before your trip... The hotel was okay otherwise.

Nice hotel but the area didn't seem great. We arrived at night which probably didn't help. The staff were friendly, the receptionist didn't speak much english but used google translate to try to explain things to us which was sweet. There was a good selection at breakfast. Wifi didn't work in the hotel at all while we were there which was annoying.

New designer hotel with only six rooms on each floor. Small, local bars and eateries within 20 meters from entrance - and an old fashioned laundry just across the street, which makes up for the fact that the hotel does not offer inhouse laundry service. 10 minutes of walk to Avenue Paulista, with shopping malls, the Trianon park and MASP (The Sao Paulo Museum of Art)...

The bed was extremely uncomfortable. The aircon was noisy. the area is in a good area but public transport is not convenient. There was only a bus which comes not so often and hectic getting back. Not worth the value. AHostel in sao paulo would ebe cheaper and much more comfortable.

pousada ibituruna is simple, clean and nice hostel about 10 minutes walk to centrasl airport sao paulo congonhgas, from there you have good connections to any place in sao, or to internatial guarulhos airport. there are three restaurant in surrounding, couple coffee shops, and big deparment store. bus stop is only 5 min away, so the postion (if you are looking to be ...

The staff seems nice enough at first; friendly, accommodating, and efficient, but when an issue came up and I called the front desk, the follow-up to fix the issue was completely non-exitent. I had to call the front desk a few times, then go downstairs myself, and in the end nothing got done to fix my issue. It was sad that at check-in they all seemed so caring, but a...

Staff is really helpful and show their warm hospitality to us. My friend was not feeling well....n they showed their care n concern to us...giving us a great helping hand to look for a hospital. very outstanding hotel facilities, in-room deco, nice pool, good breakfast just the location is not very accessible as we have to climb up on the slope every time.

I was in Sao Paulo to visit my girlfriend for four days and had an amazing time at this hotel. The rooms were clean and great size. The staff provided excellent service and provided any assistance we needed. Great breakfast every morning, buffet style. I never had to worry about anything during my stay. It was a great experience, great room, great service.

The hotel was near everything in the Jardins, one of the nicest neighboorhood in Sao Paulo. The breakfast was excellent and the location was wonderful. It meet my expectations and I will recommend. Everything in walking distance. No car was needed. Area was safe and we found everything around.

A decent basic tourist class or business traveler hotel in a good location in the Jardim district of Sao Paulo. Only a few blocks away from the Brigadeiro metro station and Avenida Paulista. The staff was competent and fairly attentive. Two room suites are fairly spacious, but basic. Furniture and carpeting could use an update. Overall, a good value for tourists a...

The hotel is well located, though it really lacks a lot. It is decorated like you are back in the 70s, there is NO room service after 10pm and the worst part is that it really doesn't have a proper internet service option, making it very difficult to work. Most times people have to bring their laptops to the lobby if they want to access the internet. I will never stay...

Boohking through I could get a fair price for this hotl which is ok, nothing really special. I arrived at 7h30 and they asked me to pay half of the day price to get an empty room. It' not the good way to keep customer, especially for 90€ for 1/2 4h. The rooms are ok and clean. Swimming pool unusable beacause of leaves on the water all the time. Small Fitness center. Br...

This is my third time to stay in the same hotel. It is a really good hotel. For sure the room is clean and tidy and also the bed is so big and comfort. Another point is this hotel all work in the front desk people are really nice and helpful. They are really kind to me.

I choose this hotel in Sao Paulo as it is just off Paulists and so close to my meetings. It is a safe and high end neighborhood, The rooms are small, but classically decorated. The bathrooms have l'occitane products and I love the rain shower head. Breakfast is included and complete. I especially like the house made jams. Waiter service is polished and courteo...

There are things I appreciate about Hilton Sao Paulo, especially the staff. They were very attentive and were definitely amongst the most hospitable staff yet. The breakfast menu was great, and I love how there are some menu items that changes daily! A big plus over other hotels. But aside from that, there are little other things to praise. For a 5-star hotel, it is r...

Accommodation in Sao Paulo is quite expensive (Brazil is expensive in general), so I searched a lot to find a nice hotel at a fair price. I am glad I stayed at The Capital: The staff were very corteous and helpful -hey even helped me get tickets to a show and their suggestions to eat out were excellent. The rooms are like small apartments with outside terraces so the...

The pictures of the room don’t do it justice. Hotel was excellent. Did not mind paying more for the quality. We checked in late - about 11pm. The front desk was efficient, offered us welcome drinks, checked us in quickly. Room was spacious and bed was super comfortable. The hotel was in a very nice and seemingly safe location. I would definitely recommend this h...

Traveler impressions of São Paulo
Sao Paulo is a big city without beaches if you are looking for indoor entertainment you are in a right place!
Sao Paulo is a very big city and therefore requires some effort to get to the range of attractions, but the many parks, monuments, sporting arenas, restaurants and bars make it easy to find activities to enjoy during your stay.
Even though Sao Paulo is a huge, business oriented city, the inhabitants are extremely friendly. The dining possibilies are infinite and the night life one of the best in the world
Sao Paulo lacks the typical attributes of a holiday destination since there is no coast or nature near by, but it is a spectacular city with people from any culture living in it.
Not safe. Expensive. But people very friendly. The worst part, a lot of area has bad smell and dirty.
not recommended for children. bars are crazy busy but the people herear what makes brazil such a pleasure to visit .
Great for trying Brazilian coffee and shopping for shoes at galeria Melissa and havaianas flagship stalls

More about São Paulo
The city center – Centro – is a comprehensive archive of Sao Paulo's early days as a trading post and market town, though much of what now stands was built in the 19th and early 20th centuries. Among the highlights are stoic parliament buildings, neo-Gothic cathedrals, and a careful reconstruction of the original mission. Such sites as the Banespa Skyscraper can also be found here. Accommodation in Sao Paulo is tucked into a maze of alleyways intersecting at odd angles, an intriguing setting for a walking tour.
Modern Sao Paulo is equally fascinating, and there's no better place to get acquainted with the modern phenomenon of Brazil. The restaurants in this city are superb, and shopping is equally well supported from the top-end boutiques of the Jardins district to the rambling marketplaces of Centro. Whether searching for fresh produce, haute fashion, or antiques, Sao Paulo is almost bewilderingly well-endowed.
Congonhas-São Paulo Airport is Brazil's domestic gateway, but international visitors arrive at Guarulhos International Airport. Both are served by airport hotels and operate efficient transport to the city center. Find the most suitable accommodation for you by clicking on our interactive map and exploring Sao Paulo for hotels and must-see destinations.
