Nice hotel that is part of the standard fare for Extended Day America series properties. Definitely one of their better properties where the doors to the rooms open to a hallway INSIDE the building as opposed to typical motel-style properties where the room door opens to the OUTSIDE. Extended Day America has both types of properties and this type is the one recommended. In room cleanliness is very good, but common areas by entry and elevator in foyer need a sweep and wipedown. Check-in seemed to drag on with a few people in line (3+) with only one person staffed after 7pm (not really the fault of the host worker who was obviously understaffed). You could conveniently park your car outside your window if you wished to keep an eye on it given the building layout which was nice. Key cards allow multiple points of entry. Overall decent place and convenient nearness to Sky Harbor International.

Arrived to check in and then found out the elevator was broken. We were given a room on the 3rd floor. There were 2 staff people behind the counter. I am 62 years old and on disability. I told them I thought I should get help from their staff to move my belongings to the 3rd floor. I was told that the staff was too busy to help. I complained that we should get some type of discount on the room since we were not getting what we expected. We were told that we could give up our room and get our money back. We told the staff that we knew there were no other hotels not filled up and that even if they were the cost would not reflect out pre-arranging a place to stay weeks in advance. We were provided a number to call. We tried calling that number, and the number was not to a customer service representative, it was to a number used to reserve another room. We were provided the correct number by Extended Stay staff. We went back to the front desk and told them that the number they had provided to us was the wrong number, and they refused to take the correct number from us. There was a line up of upset customers that wanted to complain and ask for a discount, but the desk just handed out the wrong number to anyone that wanted to complain about the hotel condition. We looked at the room and found soap still in the tub (not cleaned) and hair in the faucet handles of the sink (the top cover piece of the handle was missing, and hair inside the missing part location). The staff gave us kitchen ware without anything to clean the dishes with, missing lids and only two pans. We asked for coffee packets and we were told they did not have any, they were out. This was after we had complained already. We asked again after a shift change and we were given coffee no problem. Apparently, they were out of coffee specifically if we asked for it. I helped my friend book a room, because he doesn’t use technology. When I arrived, they wouldn’t let him check in, because his card wouldn’t work and he only had cash. I was there with my service dog just trying to help him get a room but had no intention of staying. They kept talking abutting me and the service dog as if we weren’t present, saying we would be charged penalties if we didn’t leave before morning. I just thought it was rude to talk about a customer who’s standing right in front of you as if she’s not there. I was able to help my friend get a room with my credit card, but then he told me they had been treating him like an idiot before I had arrived, because he didn’t know how to use technology. I was amazed at how immature they were behaving, as if they had no clue what it’s like to have limited abilities. My friend spent 40 years in prison, so it’s not fair to make fun of him for not having grown up with technology. They need to train the staff how to communicate with people from different backgrounds.
