The good: Nice, friendly polite staff, reasonably clean facilities and decent location. There are 24 hour Family Mart and 7-eleven in walking direction as well as McD )forget the Mos Burger, that place is a disaster). The bad: Water temperature is hard to work on as it seems to be either super hot or super cold, the sink have this oddly placed cabinet on top that makes it hard to use and no cleaning during the duration of the stay. Finally, the windows when opened is facing another window so you will be having it closed most of the time. The summary: Overall it is a decent place to stay however if you plan to travel to Tokyo a lot the cost do add up quite a bit as well as the travel time.

Its the average business hotel. This is my first time staying at a FlexStay. Not much of a smokey smell compared to others of this class. I liked the area a lot. Naka-Itabiashi is great and Ooyama is a short walk. There is a park a few minutes walk from the hotel which is convenient for exercise. 2 good grocery stores near the station. I didnt mind the lack housekeeping but I did not like that you only get one towel and one face towel for any duration of stay. I stayed for 1 week. If you want more/replacement, it costs extra. The room was a little tight and I wish there was just a bit more space to open my suitcase. For the price - its a good place for a solo traveller.

We were here for the third time. Good Location, train station in walking distance, supermarkets nearby, staff very friendly, have had a room with separate bedroom and small kitchenette. It was very comfortable. Would come again and again.

This is a pretty decent hotel to stay Inn. Pros: Very Near Tokiwadai train station, restaurants, and groceries Clean and with enough space; You even have a small Dinning Area and Kitchen Sink Cons: Far from the usual tourists spots, you always have to use TJ Line to go to Ikebukuro so you can go to the usual tourist destinations serviced by other train lines Overall, you have to weigh whether the savings you get from booking this hotel will outweigh the cost of the additional transportation cost.

More spacious than your average 3 star ”
The location from Tokiwadai Station is good - only a few mins walk. Many combinis and eateries near the station/hotel. The room is a bit dated so do manage your expectations but otherwise, it has a sitting area with table/chairs, a microwave + closet for your clothes. I would have liked to have access to a hair dryer, though. Good that you have access to a coin operated washing machine/dryer but it was a bit troublesome for us because: 1) they ran out of washing powder which you buy via a dispenser (so we had to buy our own) 2) instructions are in Japanese so we needed the hotel staff to explain to us. Good place to stay overall.

More like an apartment than hotel”
Unfortunately they do not have 24hr reception and they do not clean your room everyday. You also have to take out your own trash. Train station is not too fair and there some close food shops near by but no touristy places within walking distance. I also found it difficult to get a train easily to the airport i.e. I had to change at 3 different stations to get to the airport.

Helpful staff, but there're no staff in the lobby at night. Good facilities in the room: I even find a knife to cut fruits. The bathroom is quite small but acceptable. If you want a budget hotel, this is totally fine. You should try to find whether there are rooms at other Flexstay Inns because the position of this one is not near the city centre.

Fantastic staff. Rooms are clean, and there is a laundry room on site. Hot plate and dishes in the room, with grocery stores and convenience stores nearby. We've stayed with Flex Stay Inn Tokiwadai three times now, and it's always a pleasure.

If you are really on budget and need a place that you want to cook by yourself, this mansion provides everything like rice cooker, bowls, cups, refrigerator, even knife. It feels like home. However, it is quite far away from Tokyo City. You have to take a private railway from Tokiwadai to Ikebukuro if you want to go Tokyo City. However, from Ikebukuro you are already in the JR Yamanote Loop that linked with the best places in Tokyo. It is suits for those who want to stay for a week and want to experience the adventure trip in Japan. You have to walk a more than 5 minute to reach the nearest train station.

The place is a little bit far way from the city but the people there is very nice and helpfull. ”
Tokiwadai is clean city and very firendly for family with children. The restaurant and supermarket are close ith the hotel. The place is little bit far from city, you should take train until 2 station and you will arrive to ikebukuro but most of all i amstatisfied with the hotel and the city. The hotel is semi apartment so you can cook microwave and also laundry your clothes in the basement.

For the price, this type of accommodation is standard fare for Tokyo, meaning the room was quite small, but it was clean and had all amentites required. The staff were friendly and helpful, though most of my communication was in bad Japanese.

Great value, quiet area, always come back here”
I have stayed here 3 times for a month each. It is 5 stops from Ikebukuro on The Tobu line. So a bit off the path but in a very quiet area away from the city. But plenty of grocery and convenience stores. Staff is very attentive place is clean. I always get the twin room for the extra space even though traveling alone. Big plus is the rooms have cooking plate and utensils dishes and microwaves which other hotels do not. Saves me a fortune on food over eating out. Will stay here again for sure!

We recommend this hotel. In walking distance you can find 2 big supermarkets and you can find the train station to Ikebukuro. The staff will give you a small but helpful map. The rooms were clean and you will find all you need for preparing your own meals. When back in Tokyo we will definitly stay there again.

Stayed one night in this hotel. The single room was small, but surprisingly contained a microwave oven, water kettle, electric cooktop, and even a vacuum cleaner. I would recommend this hotel for anyone who would like to stay more than two weeks in Tokyo. If you are just a casual tourist, it may be better if you stay in a hotel located in central Tokyo instead.

My stay was ok. I wasn't in often enough, but the hotel is very cheap and useful. Not 5star or anyting but gets you by. The staff are a bit thick and no little english. The main road is very loud and kept me awake. Also i thought the rooms were abit cold. Handy drinks machines and the door is locked at 6pm i think. You get a code when you check in.

We stayed in a Twin room which had a separate sleeping area and a small dining area, beds were large and comfortable (suggest you bring or buy your pillow own choice) would stay here again and will be recommending to others. very happy
