this hotel was a pleasant surprise. very close to the beach, very nice, clean and big pool in a mostly sunny court. rich breakfast and good a la carte meals.

Hotel Grande da Barra”
The rooms were a bit small for a hotel of this class and the air conditioning though very powerful did not seem to vary when you adjusted the temperature. Breakfast was OK but the sausages were suspect and 2 of our group had stomach problems. The swimming pool was excellent. Staff were willing but disorganised. We had trouble with accidental overcharging of the meal and drink bills which was put right by the concierge staff who were excellent.

Lovely location esp travellers but bad service”
Bad service, the front office barely speak in English, there is no early check in options, breakfast is not the best once saw a little insect by the ham, rooms are small and noisy.

Notre nuit au Grande hotel Barra”
Autant être clairs, nous ne conseillons absolument pas cet hôtel. Son seul avantage est d'être situé dans le quartier de Barra, en bord de mer et près d'un arrêt de bus qui amène au centre de la ville. La chambre est d'une taille raisonnable mais d'un standing qui ne correspond pas du tout aux 4 étoiles annoncées. La climatisation fonctionnait tout doucement, il faisdait donc une chaleur horrible dans la chambre (encore pire dans la salle de bain car pas de ventilation) et le personnel n'en avait rien à faire. Le service était d'une lenteur pas possible et il n'y avait aucune écoute du client. Il faut dire que prsonne ne parlait anglais; étonnant pour un 4 étoiles.

Hotel direkt am Strand, schöne grosse Zimmer”
Das Hotel liegt direkt am Strand und wenn Sie ein Zimmer mit Meerblick haben erleben Sie einen herrlichen Sonnenuntergang. Die Zimmer sind sehr ringhörig aber recht gross. Frühstück ist akzeptabel. Leider war bei meinem Besuch der Pool in Revision und konnte nicht benutzt werden.

O Hotel está descuidado, precisando com urgência de renovação. A limpeza tanto do quarto como das áreas comuns deixa muito a desejar. O serviço, principalmente no café da manhã, é muito ruim. A sensação que tivemos, eu e minha prima, é que haviam poucos funcionários para a quantidade de serviço, e também achamos que a qualidade do serviço não foi boa. Os corredores de acesso aos quartos, elevadores, goteiras pra todo lado na área do restaurante, que aliás nos serviu um filé a parmegiana que foi difícil de descer de tão ruim. Enfim, foi decepcionante. O tamanho do quarto é muito bom, e o chuveiro também, e as camas confortáveis. O armário do frigobar estava detonado. Bom, é isso, muito caro pelo que oferece. O Hotel tem ótima localização, e potencial, mas precisa de reformas, e serviço compatível com o valor da hospedagem.
