It's right in front of Mongdol Beach, and if you open the window, there's a full ocean view. It's clean, and while there is no bathtub in the bathroom, it's spacious and comfortable. When you check in, you receive a welcome drink or ice cream, and breakfast is included. There’s a ramen machine along with various types of ramen, cup rice, toast, cereal and milk, coffee, yogurt, and bananas. It's not a lavish breakfast, but if you drink and have fun and then wake up, it's nice to grab a bowl of something to eat. As soon as you step out, there are chicken places, restaurants, a draft beer place, and a convenience store. If I go to the nearby beach again, I would consider staying here again.
I met the staff just twice, but they were kind and pleasant. However, I couldn't sleep at all at night. The air conditioner doesn't have a dehumidifying function, and the heating has to be controlled from the front desk. Even when I turned on the air conditioning, it was too humid, and I wanted to turn on the heating, but I couldn't get in touch since it was early morning, so I couldn't sleep at all. As time passed, it became damp... The pillow, blanket, and mattress were all damp, and there was a lingering bleach smell coming from the pillow. The floor was also damp, so even with the air conditioning on, it was still sticky and I couldn't sleep well. Oh, and the bed was sunk in the middle... so I ended up lying on the edges. The location is great. The beach is right in front, the breakfast staff were very kind, and the bathtub is big, and the water pressure was very satisfying. However, since I was on a business trip and needed to drive and handle work all day the next day, not being able to sleep was really tough. The cost performance is excellent for the price, but it would be great if there were a dehumidifying function in the air conditioner, or if there was a dehumidifier, or at least if the heating could be controlled... it's quite disappointing. It had been raining since the day before, and I wonder if it's because of the cloudy weather or being near the beach... I think it would be good if users requested the heating to be slightly turned on to dry out the humidity before turning on the air conditioning. Please take note.
It is a great value accommodation. The location is good, with a Starbucks right in front and Mongdol Beach nearby. The staff was also friendly. Additionally, as seen in the photos, there is the advantage of being able to see a beautiful sunrise. However, there were a few disappointing points, such as the windows not being clean in the photos which affected the pictures, a large hole at the bottom of the screen door, and although the breakfast is provided for free, it was not what I had expected. Nevertheless, considering the price, it was an overall satisfactory choice. I had a nice stay.
Hound Ulsan is a place that well reflects its geographical feature of being just a 3-minute walk from the seaside! The sea view is very beautiful and the cleanliness is nice, so I think I will use it often. Occasionally, the terrace can be messy, and even if I want to enjoy the sea view, there are times I end up not using it, but here, as soon as you enter, it smells nice, and especially in the ryokan, the hinoki scent is healing. It’s also great for a place to stay after playing in the water. You can simply get ready, remove the stones, and wash up comfortably, and the service is friendly. I think I will use it not only in summer but also occasionally for healing. However, since it’s near the beach, small flies? bugs sometimes get into the bedding. If you leave the lights on the terrace at night, even the ladybugs might crawl in...^^ Make sure to shake your blankets before sleeping!

9.8/10 SEE ALL PHOTOS FOR HOTEL INFO. Front desk: 10/10 Staff was very welcoming. They accommodated us coming in around 23:40 due to our schedule. Over the phone, the staff said that the latest check in time would be 02:00 (with normal checkin hours = 16:00-23:59). This would be acceptable since they have staff at the front till 02:00 AM, but call in advance if you want to double check. With my booking (please see the booking option I chose in the photos), the provide you with 2 waters in the room + your choice of 2 juices from the front desk refrigerator (lounge area). Rooms: 8/10 Great for the price. Had the sunrise view room on the 6th floor overlooking the beach and the ocean. Included shower, bathtub, bidet toilet, sink, dresser with a mirror to put makeup on etc. very quiet room and we had a good night and slept well. However, (stayed there 2 nights), but they did not change the bedsheets, only the covers. Amenities/toiletries: 9/10 They have a styler machine to refresh and air dry the clothing, and each cycle runs for about 35-40 minutes. Pretty neat stuff, and I was able to refresh and dry some of my clothes from the rain. They also provide PC’s, TV with Netflix, toothbrush and toothpaste. Breakfast!…they have free breakfast in the morning every morning at 07:30-09:00. However, I wish they would have provided bigger sized towels. Other than that, I loved what they provided. Parking: 10/10 If you have a vehicle/car, this hotel would be great for you as they have free parking accommodations. (Please see the photos I provide with detail on how it looks like). The parking is efficient, and automatic, so you just drive the car into the car “elevator” (the system will tell you to make adjustments with the car position if needed), and turn off your car. Go out into the front of the elevator, and type in your last 4 digits of your car license plate. The machine will do the rest and “park”/store your car away until you come back again to type the same last 4 digits of your car license plate. There is also free parking spaces alongside the front entrance street.
