I came for breakfast at the last minute and just found out that in Yogyakarta, they sing the Indonesian national anthem every 10 a.m. in this hotel. Staying at Hotel Santika always gives a different vibe, and so does Santika Premier Jogja. Starting from the main lobby, we already felt the warmth and comfort of the hotel, both because of its interior and also because of the friendliness and readiness of the hotel staff. The location of this hotel is also very strategic because it is close to Tugu Jogja and Malioboro. We can walk from the hotel to the Malioboro area because the path is also pedestrian-friendly. The room we stayed in was a King Deluxe type and we thought it was spacious enough, with a large window facing the swimming pool. The room also has complete facilities like a 4-star hotel. The breakfast provided by the hotel is varied and delicious. For those who want to stay comfortably in a strategic location in Jogja, this hotel is one of the hotel choices.

We were impressed by the Javanese hospitality of the staff. From check in to check out, they made sure all our needs were taken care of. Everyone we spoke with was very polite and friendly. Our flight to Bali was early in the morning and they offered breakfast box (choice of fried rice, gudeg, or a sandwich), which they had ready at 4:00 in the morning. We initially weren’t sure about staying in town since new Jogja international airport (YIA) is over 40 km from the hotel, but turned out there was not much traffic in the morning, allowing us to get there in 50 minutes by a GoCar (private taxi). There’s also airport train that leaves from Stasiun Tugu, as an alternative. We loved the hotel’s location a lot! It takes 10 min to walk to Malioboro street, and less than 10 min to walk to the House of Raminten restaurant. There’s coffee shops and a post office right next to the hotel. 5 out of 5 rating from us for all aspects!

Hotel Santika Jogja, bukan hotel yg baru dan kekinian namun cukup terawat walau akan terasa suasana classic nya. Pemilihan ke Santika adalah lokasi yg relatif dekat dengan stasiun dan Malioboro, dengan harga yg relatif sama jk memilih hotel bintang dua atau tiga di Malioboro namun mendapatkan kamar yg jauh lebih luas dan fasilitas bintang 4. Saya tidak merasakan fasilitas hotel krn lebih banyak menghabiskan waktu diluar, jd hanya review lebih ke fasilitas kamar, breakfast experience dan pelayanan secara umum. Jadi bukan tamu staycation. Lebih ke numpang tidur. Plus Points: - Proses check termasuk efisien, security dgn sigap dan ramah membantu membawakan koper dan menunjukkan area check in - Walau terkendala room readiness krn masalah di refrigerator, Receptionist meng-handle amat sangat baik krn memang bukan hal yg penting dan menanyakan apakah ada barang yg hrs disimpan di kulkas, jk ada, sementara bisa dititipkan dulu mereka, sambil menunggu penggantian kulkas sehingga kita bisa masuk kamar dan beristirahat (thoughtfulness) - Receptionist jg menunjukkan arah lift dgn baik. Walau lift cm satu, namun selama saya tinggal tidak pernah menunggu lama. - Kamar cukup lega dengan fasilitas yg mumpuni. - Twin bed nya ukuran nya cukup, memang lebih kecil dibanding tempat lain yg pernah saya tinggal, tapi nyaman dan membuat jd lebih banyak space di kamar. - Kebersihan dan kerapihan kamar baik sekali. - Room Attendant merapikan kamar dgn baik, menjalankan apa yg diminta. - Breakfast varieties nya lumayan lengkap dengan kebanyakan makanan lokal, bakery dan pastries, jajanan pasar, aneka bubur, aneka sambal, cereal, buah potong, stall mie godok dan stall aneka telur, pilihan kopi dan teh dan aneka jamu siap minum. - Utk food rotation nya tiap hari di beberapa area spt soto, jajanan pasar dan beberapa main coursenya. Lainnya sama. - Manager dan staff resto ramah dan cekatan. Tidak ada piring gelas kosong, lama di meja. - Concierge dan Security di lobby selalu menyapa dengan ramah dan memberikan info dan jawaban dgn baik jk ada pertanyaan. Tdk sungkan utk memastikan ke rekannya jk ragu. - Proses check out baik, receptionist memastikan tidak ada barang yg tertinggal dan menanyakan ada tidaknya kendala selama tinggal. Things to improve: - Welcome drink berupa jamu yg 'terasa biasa' aja, padahal disajikannya sdh special, dihidangkan oleh waitress di lobby dgn tempat yg cukup unik. Mungkin krn jamunya adem, tidak hangat atau dingin. Sementara ekspektasi Saya jamunya hangat apalagi Saya yg lama di kereta, judulnya pasti agak2 kedinginan, lelah dan masuk angin, cukup senang melihat jamu disediakan jk hangat. Jk dingin (cold) pun pasti akan refresing spt yg di coffee shopnya. Dan seharusnya ada sedikit kacang atau snack local yg menyertai? Saya lihat di foto, lupa dimana, ada snack nya. Tp mungkin utk kategori VIP guest. - AC dikamar saat tengah malam spt otomatis mengurangi dinginnya, krn sampai membuat saya terbangun krn tidak nyaman. Maaf tdk segera melaporkan krn capek mengalahkan segalanya, sehingga cukup tanpa selimut saja. Nanti akan dingin lg, entah berapa lama. Tidur pelor soalnya. - Pukul 8 akan dikagetkan dgn ketukan pintu oleh pihak HK yg menanyakan apakah ada laundry dan maw dibersihkan jam brp? Lumayan menggangu utk saya krn tiap hari dilakukan. Mungkin bisa ditanyakan di hari pertama jk melihat tamunya stay lebih dr 1 malam, bisa ditanyakan preferensi jam dibersihkannya. - Bedsheet quality nya bisa lebih ditingkatkan: spotless, pressing quality. - First time guest, gak paham lokasi fasilitas, terutama breakfast. Receptionist seharusnya menunjukkan lokasi breakfast, apalagi berada diseberang Reception Counter, tanpa perlu tamu bertanya. - Entah knp yg jaga di egg station, kurang interaktif dgn tamu, berbeda dgn yg di area sup. I recently stayed at Hotel Santika Yogyakarta and had a wonderful experience. The staff were amazing and incredibly helpful, always going above and beyond to ensure my stay was pleasant. The room was comfortable, even though the design and vibe are somewhat old style. Despite this, the room maintained a cozy and welcoming atmosphere. Additionally, the cleanliness of the room was commendable, with everything well-maintained and tidy. One of the highlights of Hotel Santika Yogyakarta is its strategic location. Situated in the city center, it is conveniently close to several tourist attractions and public places such as the train station and popular culinary spots. This made exploring the city incredibly easy and enjoyable. Overall, Hotel Santika Yogyakarta provided a comfortable and enjoyable stay, thanks to its dedicated staff, well-kept rooms, and prime location. I highly recommend it for anyone visiting Yogyakarta.
