Hotels near Back beach

Hotel lived up to its 5 star rating on the inside. Being on Back beach it's slightly out of town and therefore not too many restaurants around. It is 3km from the Saigon ferry, but the beach is massive, including the hotels own private beach. The only negative is it can be quite noisy at night, with the hotel front by a busy road which the boy racers like to use at weekends, while the beach is used for late night games and karoke. At the back of the hotel is a night market with shops and bars which continued till the early hours. Also there was a fair at the side of the hotel which didn't finish till midnight! So beware if you're a light sleeper. Perhaps double glazing for the windows would help.

I usually forego the reviews, but I want to give Malibu the credit it deserves. It was only open 3 weeks before we arrived, and still going through some improvements. HOWEVER, the hotel facilities are 1st class, the rooms excellent, the towels are thick and fully, and the beds were dreamy. I have stayed in numerous 5 star hotels, and I would consider Malibu (year 2016) as 5 star. the occupancy rate when we were there was low, so we had our breakfast on the 5th floor restaurant; ala carte buffet, and the eggs florentive and eggs benedict were fabulous. They did a great job. The staff were extremely friendly and they were doing their sincere best. Also, just a short walk, behind the amusement park, is a row of seafood restaurants, that i would definitely recommend. I would definitely stay here again. Only suggestion we had for the Malibu hotel, was to clean the balcony glass. Other than that, I would say, it is probably the best hotel in back beach.

This is a newly built and modern hotel. It is fairly close to the back beach. Room facilities are good. Our double bed is large and rather comfortable The bathroom is spacious and clean. The buffet breakfast is international style and big enough. our strong impression on the beef steak served for our a la carte dinner, also. It's really delicious with a real pepper sauce. Staff are very service minded and friendly. Thanks Agoda for my enjoyable stay. I will come back

i booked a seaview double room. i was initially given a room on the right side of the hotel next another hotel where they were doing construction. the balcony opened up to the safety netting of the construction next door obscuring the seaview. i requested for a room change and the hotel oblidged no fuss at all. rooms had plenty on windows offering a seaview. i was also impressed with the little extras offered by the hotel. they had drying racks on the balcony which is useful. at night they also turned down my bed and gave us a complimentary fruit basket. i've stayed at other 3 star properties at the back beach area but green hotel is the best value for money considering what i paid for a deluxe seaview room. i would stay there again and recommend this hotel.

Went to Gio Bien for the weekend. Had booked a room with sea view but hotel claimed Agoda had reserved a room with street view. Agoda tried to solve the problem but to no avail as the hotel was full. We stayed at the assigned room. Room was not bad. Shower was not working, but it was fixed as soon as we called reception. Clean, quiet, excellent location, nice buffet breakfast, quick check out. One of my friends forgot his iPad charger. We called as soon as we got back to HCMC, hotel said they’d check and call back but never called back. Called again the following day, same promise, same result. Good hote, just don’t leave anything behind or you’ll never hear from them again.

Overall a quiet, cosy, safe & comfortable place to rest. Location is strategic too, with only about 5 mins walk to the back beach area. A few circle K convenience stores nearby plus a handful of local eateries. Easy to get taxis near hotel. Room is clean & well-maintained. One minor cons is the hot water in bathroom may take slightly longer to come on & the tuning is a bit tricky to adjust to the right temperature. Staff is helpful & friendly.

I was looking for a reasonable hotel for my budget vacation and I accidentally found this hotel. While most of the hotels near the beach is 500.00vnd++, this one is just 400.000vnd (service charge included). Its location is also convenient, just 300m to the back beach. The room is comfortable, exclude the wc, I don't know how the others think but I found that wc is a bit creepy to me haha. In summary, I recommend this hotel to everyone who's looking for a cheap accomodation for your budget vacation.

We had a nice time at Victory. We went to the beach twice a day since it is right across street. The receptionist offerred the beach view room with bacony which was nice. Green hotel, right next door, had breakfast buffet with different varieties at person. We came there everyday. The Victory hotel's restaurant also had decent food at very reasonable prices. The internet signal was strong that we didn't have any problem accessing it. Though we could tell the building needed more maintenance. There were a lot of ants in our room. That was somewhat bothersome.

This hotel has good value for money due to the location to the vicinity of the back beach, with the street leading to it littered with lots of street food. However as my title shows, there are maybe 3 (or more?) Hotels with the name Thuy Van hotel in Vung Tau. This one is smack in the middle of lots of rows of stalls and shops selling everything from trinkets to fruits to seafood. It is joined by the Sunrise hotel under the same management. A clean and well located budget hotel.

Dai An Hotel was my first experience with Agoda. My family felt satisfied with services provided by the hotel. The hotel is newly built. Prices for laundy was reasonable. All staff were very friendly and helpful although they did not know much about the local restaurants. The location is fine, just 200 metres far from the Back Beach, good enough for us to walk to the beach when we did not want to use the hotel's car. The surrounding is quiet. If you like a busy and noisy place, you should not stay in Back Beach area. We were advised not to try restaurants on the same streets as those were considered as racketeering. There is a good cafe and bakery near the hotel, about 500 metres far from the Hotel, named Garden Cafe, with big garden, nice view, and okay cakes. If you want to use taxi for a long drive, I recommend you to use GPS (if you have a smartphone), as taxi drivers tend to take long ways. We were cheated by a Mai Linh Taxi (a famous one in Vietnam).

It was pleasant stay. We came early at 11 am but the staff allowed us to check in early with no extra costs. We stayed in a high-floor room with city view. The room was just ok in size but overall was very clean. We checked out late and negotiated a cheaper cost for that as stated in the hotel guide. The hotel has a massage service but uncertain about the quality (but it seems famous for that service). The hotel is very conveniently located with 3-min walk to the beach. Overall I feel satisfied with this hotel. It is newly built in 2013.

For what I paid, compared to another hotel this was a bit expensive. There was hot water but it was only mildly warm. The room they were giving me was on level 3 and there was no lift so I asked to be moved to level 1 as I have a bad knee. Staff were happy to oblige, though when they cleaned the room the bathroom was still full of sand. It wasn't a big deal but over my 3 day stay not once was the room cleaned so I had to try and clean the bathroom myself so I wasn't walking on sand everytime I used the bathroom. This hotel is on back beach which doesn't really have anything to do except go to the beach. That was fine for me but knowing now if I went back I would pay a little more to stay on the front beach where all the restaurants, shops and attractions are to save money on taxis.

My time here was great. The staff was very friendly. I was shown a number of rooms to choose from. The best one unfortunately could not get the electric to turn on. The breakfast was standard Asian breakfast buffet of rice, soup, noodles, Vietnamese sausage and other items. I was having a problem getting my Thai baht exchanged for Dong and they exchanged it for me at the official rate unlike most banks. The only downside was the location. I am not much of a beach person so I would have preferred to have stayed in town.

I highly recommend this as a place to stay. As a foreigner I found it friendly with accommodating service. I also thought they were helpful if I had a question or problem. And they let me rent a motorbike too. Plenty of places for local food nearby, and within 5 min. walk to the beach. Beach is a little dirty with a little trash in the water but fun to body surf. Beach (Bai Truc) near the Hydrofoil dock seemed cleaner and easier/safer to swim rather than body surf. Many types of fresh seafood and of course, noodles or rice dishes as well. I didn't have a view but it was still nice as there were 2 windows to keep the air fresh. I have stayed in other hotels throughout VN and I think this is a top choice for my usual budget travel selections.

I stayed this hotel with my friend. This hotel is locating near Bai Sau beach, it's just 3minutes by walk. And there're many local delicious restaurant near the hotel. Hotel staff couldn't speak English, but they were kind and friendly. This hotel is not specially clean and new, but enough to sleep. If you are looking for some cheap hotel, I recommend this Cao Bang Hotel.
