I confused when I touch down airport. Luckily the tourist information counter guide me to check with Tops Holiday counter, they will arrange free shuttle bus send you to the hotel. The Tops Holiday tour counter just right end at the exit gate there. However it charge HKD24 per person when you want the hotel arrange shuttle service to airport. It has a casino in the hotel, hence I though it is suitable for non-gambling guest, but I was wrong. It is a standard 5-stars hotel, but not a luxury 5-stars. It cater many tour groups, hence I had a bad experience when waiting the lift go up together with a tour group who just checked in, it only 3 lifts at the lobby and it’s super slow… The check in process took some time, however they are willing to arrange the best room to adapt your requirement, such as non-smoking room, king size bed room, nice city view or so on. If you can walk, Lisboa casino and Ruins of St. Paul’s Cathedral is within walking distance. Otherwise, take bus is convenience. The hotel is located small road, but got public bus serve in that line, otherwise passby the garden infront further down is a main road, many bus lines serving there. On the other hand, the hotel does provide shuttle bus to Lisboa casino. The garden opposite is Vasco da Gama Munument, feel nothing just a normal garden with a monument, walk further got a souvenir store. A side got 7-11 convenient store and few local restaurants, the taste not bad and not that expensive.

stayed here for 2 nights over easter weekend. the hotel was a good price compared to some of the others of a similar standard, and the location was great. right in the heart of macau and just a short walk from senado square and the ruins of st pauls. we were able to take the bus from the airport which was really cheap, but it would also have been a good price in a taxi. check-in was pretty slow. we arrived late morning and there were only 2 ladies on reception... however soon afterwards a few more staff appeared, perhaps they were in a morning meeting. we were checked-in by the front desk manager and give a free upgrade to a harbour view room - nice touch. the room was spacious and clean, and i loved the olde-worlde glamour of it. the bathroom had a great jacuzzi bath which was a nice was to relax, and the mini bar offered free drinks which is very rare in this day and age. again a nice touch. there are lots of restaurants in the basement, which were very busy although we didn't eat there. we chose to wander around macau and found some local restaurants to enjoy. the hotel casino offers tables with a minimum bet of 100 hkd, where as some of the larger hotels (wynn, star world, venetian) all seem to require a minimum bet of 300-500 hkd. we enjoyed playing the tables in the hotel casino as we are not part of the mega rich crowd, and it was nice to enjoy a gamble without having to gamble away our lives! a great stay, would happily stay here again.

Advantage: 1. Value for money for similar room with harbour view (It is good to book a harbour room there) 2. Service is good, Staff are friendly and helpful, esp.Concierge 3. Clean room, beautiful and size is OK 4. Bathroom amenities with brand 5. Beside Fisherman Harbour and Sandos Casino, near to Ferry 6. Quick response to service requested 7. Room facilities are good, TV is big, iphone docking available 8. Interior design of room is good and comfortable 9. Check in (Thu) and check out (Fri) speed is efficient Disadvantage: 1. Not in the middle of the town, need to walk 5 min to nearby 7-11 shop. However it takes only around 10 min to reach downtown Wynn Casino by bus.and I am OK with this. 2. Can use the shuttle bus of Babylon Casino to Ferry or the shuttle bus of Sandos Casino to Venetian Casino Next time I will book this hotel again if I go to Macau.

I booked a room for 3 person, i never expect to be very big room and turn out is a family room(not so sure is it consider as suite).. Great room, staff are nice, public bus will stop directly in front of d hotel, sometimes ther hav standby taxi. Of course casino.. The hotel might not as big as other casino hotel, but have a budget or want to travel to macau for culture and heritage, not $$ leisure this hotel can consider as is near to outer habour macau terminal, guan yin statue.. 1 thing they dun have is shuttle bus like any other casino hotel, but they have shuttle bus to ferry terminal and will also drop off travelers to other hotel shuttle bus if want to visit other hotel casino..

The location is superb if you are paying this rate. It is walking distance to all major casinos in Macau eg. Starworld, Wynn, MGM, Grand Lisboa and the new L'arc Hotel. I even walked to all tourist attractions like San Ma Lou, Dai Sam Ba, Fisherman Wharfs and the end of San Ma Lou Ponte 16. The breakfast is so limited. They are repeating it everyday. So it is advisable to take your breakfast out there.

My girlfriend and I enjoyed a lovely stay at the Sofitel Macau at Ponte 16. We were over to see The House of Dancing Water (which was excellent - though beware, we saw the 5pm show and it's nigh impossible to get a taxi afterwards at the City of Dreams. We waited an hour) and decided that we wanted to stay away from the Cotai strip as we have no interest in gambling. The Sofitel’s rooms looked gorgeous and fell into a reasonable price bracket so having booked it the night before, we made our way over after the show. Upon check-in, we were surprised and delighted to have our room upgraded when the staff learned that the trip was a late birthday present for my girlfriend, and our suite on the 17th floor was nothing short of superb. All we wanted was a room with a comfortable bed and a bath big enough for the two of us to unwind in after a long day, and our upgraded digs ticked both boxes off - and then some. Fantastic views from up high, as well. Having missed our dinner reservations at Fernando's (due to the hour-long taxi wait at the City of Dreams), we decided to instead dine at the hotel's Mistral restaurant, treating ourselves to the buffet spread - which was excellent. As the hotel is located conveniently in town, near the western shore of Macau's northern part, we decided to walk into Macau's historic town the next day and see the sights such as the Ruins of St Paul's and the historic fortress on the hill (which also contains the history museum and offers a gorgeous view of the surrounds, including the Sofitel's striking building) before heading home to Hong Kong in the afternoon. All in all, we had a lovely short stay in Macau - in no small part due to our plush room and the great service we enjoyed from all of the hotel staff - and would definitely choose to stay again at the Sofitel Macau on Ponte 16.

Super impressed with this hotel! You get the quiet grandeur of a 5 star hotel without the overwhelming crowds. The service staff from front desk to housekeeping were impeccable, attentive and quick to respond. The resort grounds were beautiful, and there is a small but serene park just out the back door of the hotel. The rooms are newly renovated, and the bathroom feels classy without being showy. Separate bath and shower. For those wanting to visit casinos, Sands is just next door, easily accessed through the back door of the hotel. Wynn and Star World are a 15 mins walk or a short cab ride away. There is a Starbucks in Sands. Breakfast spread was good, with an egg and pancake/waffle station, fruits, cereal, cold cuts and cheeses, Asian congee noodles and dim sum, and breads. Best thing is you don’t have to “fight” for breakfast unlike at most hotels in Macau. The breakfast cafe felt more like a dining room in a colonial mansion. Absolutely lovely place, and my father and I enjoyed our stay very much.

There are hardly any affordable places to stay in Macau. FHG is the cheapest option and it is obvious -- while the hotel appears nice and the staff was great. The room left much to be desired. I am normally not picky about hotel rooms (as long as I have a bed I am happy) but the room was unnaturally moist -- the blankets, pillows, and sheets all felt wet to the touch, which is an icky feeling. I dealt with it and still had decent sleep but might look for better lodging next time. The price for me was around $90 USD a night. I would pay a $30-50 more to stay at a much better casino resort. Or if money was an issue -- maybe stay at a hostel in Hong Kong and take the ferry to Macau. There are convenient and free shuttle bus casinos offer to take you from ferry to various hotels around macau -- you do not need to be staying at the casino to use. That said, FHG is situated at a great location! The dim sum at this hotel (2nd floor) was also excellent -- but only Chinese menus.

Super like this boutique hotel, just operated about 6 months ago. Near to Sofitel Ponte 16 at Macau, so can take the shuttle bus of Sofitel, then walk about 5min to Caravel Hotel. It's also near to Senado Square, about 10-15min walk. The room is very nice, comfy bed, lightning is enough and very clean. They provide Loccitane toiletries which I love the most!! The breakfast can be improve... at least with an egg station OR provide selective menu for guest to choose. They have only bread, jam, coffee, fruits and cereal. Overall this hotel is excellent!! would definitely come back again!!

Location of this hotel was very good. Right in the city centre and accessible to lots of eating places. Walking distance to some big casino hotels where you can hop on their shuttle buses to visit Galaxy, Venetian, etc. Room was newly renovated and spacious, and clean. Bathroom has a separate shower cubicle as well as a bathtub. The normal toiletries were provided. However, the bathroom sink lacks counter space for two persons to put their own toiletries. An electric kettle was provided with some complimentary teabags. No coffee though. 2 bottles of complimentary water was given everyday. Staff at reception was kind and helpful. Checking in and out was quick. Did not purchase the breakfast option so cannot comment on the food. However, I found that it is cheaper to get the breakfast when you book the room compared to buying it at the hotel. All in, a very enjoyable stay. Will stay here again if I visit Macau in future.

I usually travel alone, and a hotel is just a place to crash after a long day of sightseeing. So I usually don't spend a lot on lodging. Victoria Hotel is one of the best hotel I've stayed at. The room and bathrooms are very spacious and clean, the staff was extremely helpful and courteous. The location is a bit north and out of the way, but it's great because I could experience the culture. Plus, there are 3 bus stops within 2 minute walking distance of the hotel. I did not eat at the hotel, so I have nothing to say about their food. Also, I did not bring a computer nor a smartphone, so I don't know if their wifi works or not. Overall, an awesome experience, and I would definitely recommend it!

Friendly n helpful staff Strategic located with restaurants, shops, money changer, bus stops around. Within walking distance to tourist attractions From airport, take bus no.26 and stop at ponte 16 (sofitel hotel to hang around) or one stop before it. Cross over n shortly u will see a big red post box. Turn left here n ole London is just further up. Excellent house keeping Ole London is abit expensive though but will stay again for sure.

Having never been to Macau I can say the Grand Lisboa definately made my stay. The hotel staff (especially the Concierge) anticipate your every move and I was delighted to be upgraded upon checkin! This hotel is clearly aimed at the 'High Rollers' wanting a 5 star experience while they use the Casino but I must say that even in you arent into Casinos its definately the place to go if you just want to be pampered and enjoy yourself. Restaurants (and food) are great, too many in-room complimentaries to mention but they include Wi-Fi & Mini Bars, a leather shopping bag and umbrella to name a few. Tv's in the bathroom & toilet, a jacuzzi, rain shower and steam room. Hotel is central & within walking distance to major sights, shopping and eating and the views across to Taipo and the lake are magnificent. Would highly recommend this experience!

The rooms in the hotel were fantastic. Not only were they spotless and beautiful, they were also equipped with automatic curtains, and also a TV that rises from a table automatically. Many of the rooms offer fantastic views of the ocean as well, perfect for sunrises as the ocean view faces east. The service was faultless, the staff were all very friendly and helpful. The Duty Manager on the day, Tom Jordan, personally escorted me to the room and explained its functions, which was a perfect display of 5-Star service. Located conveniently close to the ferry terminal as well and some casinos are within walking distance as well. Would definitely return and would certainly recommend.

Good points : 1. near to Ponte 16 (easy transfer with free hotel bus fr Outer Harbour to Ponte 16 Sofitel and walk 5 - 7 mins to hotel) 2. just behind the main road 三马路, so can walk to many attractions easily 3. many eatery and confectionery, coffee, desserts shops nearby, 大龙风，南屏雅叙，金马轮，钜记, 义顺牛奶公司。 cons : 1. there is no fridge in the room, so you can't store cold desserts or drinks only, not very crucial to me. I just eat and finish after I bought it. very recommended! I will revisit this hotel in my future trips.

This is a great stay, the hotel staff have been very helpful and polite. They are not overly friendly but they are all very willing and able to help. We got connecting rooms, for the price of RM 370/room, it is a big room, with a chic coffee machine, and great view outside the window, can see Grand Lisboa, and tiny St Paul at night and there is great sea view at the other side, very relaxing! The location is unbeatable, walking distance to St Paul, the souvenir street, Senado Sq, Ama Temple, the famous A Lorcha portugese restaurant (next to Ama Temple) are within walking distance (or take a bus just that we feel bus is very cramp). If you want to go to fisherman's wharf area (Lisboa, Wynn etc), just walk few minutes to Ponte 16 Sofitel and board their free shuttle bus, very efficient. If you want to go to Venetian, Galaxy side, just take Ponte 16 Sofitel free shuttle to fisherman's wharf jetty, and change to Venetian etc free shuttle, very frequent and fast, 20mins can reach Venetian from there. If you want to go to the Rua do Cunha (Gun Ya) Street, Galaxy bus is nearer. Better avoid Macau Taxi, they tend to over charge by taking longer route, wasting time too. For my time, until 31-Dec-2015, there is birthday promo for Cotai Jet Ferry from HK to Macau, it is 25% off for Birthday Person + 1 guest. And there is another WeChat promo 20% off. But this will drop you at the Jetty near airport (Venetian area), but just take bus to Venetian and then switch to bus to Fisherman Wharf Jetty and take Ponte 16 shuttle and then walk short distance. We took the normal bus (forgot the number) as advised by the Tourist Information, it took us freaking 1 hour 20 mins, because of all the stops and longer indirect route.

I wanted to stay on the mainland for the historic sites & found this hotel was within walking distance of the Outer Harbour ferry terminal. I booked a Superior City View room & as shown, the 45 m2 room was very spacious & ornately decorated.The balcony had a table & 2 chairs with views over the water, the bridge to Coloane Island & the city buildings. It was very pleasant to breakfast & have tea on the balcony. I liked the old colonial style of the entire hotel.The bathroom was fully Portuguese tiled & it was huge with golden fixtures. It had an enormous shower with both showerhead & normal taps, & a retractable clothes line. It also had a large claw foot bathtub with a showerhead extension & a big vanity sink with 2 retractable makeup mirrors. Although it was quite a hike to Senado Square, I liked the location. There weren't any hills, & the Sands Casino across the road had free shuttles to Cotai. The hotel had everything I wanted & the staff were extremely courteous & efficient.

Close to Outer Harbour Ferry Station, you can use one of the other Casinos' shuttle bus. Hotel itself does not have a casino, but is close to the old town area and the Wynn and MGM casinos. Received an upgrade to a very spacious suite with great kitchen area, seating area and huge luxurious bathroom. Not sure if it is mentioned in the booking confimation, but upon checkin they ask for a safety deposit either in cash or on your credit card. Would stay here again. Pool was closed at time of our visit end/Sept. 2017.

Our room is located on the 16th floor of Presidente Hotel. One can get a clear view of neighbouring 5-star hotels such as MGM,Star World and Wyn Hotel. It is also within walking distance to Holiday Inn, Landmark Hotel, Lisboa and Grand Lisboa Casino and many good restaurants. We were able to use the free shuttle services provided by the 5-star hotels to get to most of the tourist attractions as well as to Fisherman's Wharf and Ferry Terminal. It is quite clear that anyone can hop in and out of these shuttle buses irrespective of whether you are their guest or not. The place is neither busy nor crowded and we feel very safe walking around even late at night. Most people there are decent looking and very helpful when we ask for information or direction. The taxi drivers that we encountered need to show more courtesy and patience. Overall we have a good stay and we are thankful to Agoda for giving us a good rate through advance booking.

The check in is fast. The staff is polite. The location is prefect and there are many restaurants, supermarkets, and convenient stores right under the hotel. The room is clean and the bed is comfortable. The swimming pool is great too. The staff for the swimming pool is really great because he is kind and always looks at the swimming pool even there is only me and my kid. He even accompanied us to the swimming pool and see whether the pool is suitable for my kid. I love this hotel so much as there is no casino. As a result, there are not many Chinese. I will recommend this hotel to my friends and I will stay in this hotel next time.

In haste and on the cheap, I booked this hotel on the fly, as a day trip from Macau. I was amazed at how well appointed it was. It was not the cramped motel cheepo place I was expecting at all, but quite a beautiful hotel. A large clean and spacious lobby with a staff that was beyond courteous awaited us at check in. Upon check –in there was a bit of difficulty finding my reservation (probably due to my last minute booking with Orbitz) but they were very gracious as they pleaded for my patience. I was treated like royalty and tended to in every respectable way. The concierge and managers spoke English very good and were a considerable help in getting around and getting cabs for us to take us to any destination. I would like to thank and commend the management, and especially Sara who made getting our New Year sightseeing around Zhuhai fantastic. They were all very understandable and we were able to explore the town a little more boldly as a result. I never felt as though I was on my own, lost or out of luck as long as I had the hotel key and concierge business card. As soon as I showed it to any cab driver they knew exactly what to do. I can only describe the staff in general as gracious, courteous, respectful and eager to please. The executive room was about as large as a Manhattan loft and clean and included the following; a nice big DLP TV with remote, a huge king size bed, large work table, dual air controllers, spacious bathroom with large shower room and tub room, modern toilets, 2 spacious closets, a safe, robes, umbrellas, flashlight and emergency evac hood with oxygen (just in case) Spartan but functional mini bar, complimentary bottled water, toiletries including toothbrushes and combs as well as soaps and shampoos. About 10 minutes after arrival a call from the front desk asking if everything was to my liking. I also recommend the laundry if you need. It is very affordable and efficient.

From macau outer ferry, took the sofitel ponte 16 free shuttle. Walk 5mins to the left and you will find macau masters hotel, they have 2 entrance at the middle & right of the building. Ruins of st paul etc is around 10mins walk. They also have good and cheap midnight foods around the corner (try the noodle & chinese restaurant on the 5 mins walk to the right of the hotel. The noodle is near a zebra cross, next to pharmacy. The chinese food is on its next, just walk to the left at the end of the road. Nicee!!)

MGM is a famous 5-star hotel group and we are willing to stay for a long long time. Foe the trip to Macau this time, we finally have chance to stay in Macau. We made a reservation for the non-smoking room. Check In at 15:00 while staff said still not yet clear up and may be need to wait until 16:00. we go to casino and wait for the time pass and we back to the front office again on 16:00, staff said the room are not yet ready and it may take for another 45mins for the room. We felt disappointed and we need to have dinner around 18:00, therefore we only can take to smoking room for this time which the staff promised will have the air fresh services. We go up to the room and the room are smelly which make up upset. And the staff come to room after 20mins and said need to have the air refresh services. it shown that they do not done what they promise. I think they can improve for the 5 star services.

I took a day off from Hong Kong to visit Macau. I selected this hotel because it was very close to the main Turbojet ferry terminal (though not for Cotai and other ferries). Hotel is visible from the ferry itself. There is an airconditioned elevated walkway for two thirds of the distance to the hotel - which made life easy for me since I had my suitcase. Outstanding location for this purpose. Hotel itself was very nice. Rooms and bathrooms were of adequate size and well furnished to 4 star standards and worth what I paid for it. A few tips for Indian travellers: Many reviews say the bed is hard - but the hardness is similar to coirfoam and sleepwell mattresses which I use at home and I did not find it a problem. Only those used to spring mattresses will find it hard. Bathroom has no hand flush or bidet system, so be prepared. If you are a vegetarian, there is absolutely nothing to eat near the hotel - be prepared to travel very far to find food. Shops nearby (there are many) will sell you bread, cheese slices and butter only. Nobody speaks English and people including shopkeepers are very rude. A few tips for family travellers: This hotel has entire floors dedicated to "services" like Sauna 18 (which means "massage services" if you get my meaning) and table dancing (that is what it says on the lift button). Outsiders also come. The latter apparently is an adult show where a man and woman do "everything" in front of a crowded audience - touted to me as a f*** show. This is not a place to take children unless you want to answer some embarassing questions - and definitely not for adolescents. The casino has mainly black jack and if you dont speak Chinese and are not a gambler, you cant understand anything at all. Rooms are full of smoke. There is no Roulette (it is there in 3-4 nearby Giant sized casinos - Macau is full of casinos around every corner, full of smoke and crowd). There are good buses nearby to go all over Macau. Great location for sight

We really enjoyed our stay here! After staying in Vegas a number of times at other casinos and hotels but not the Wynn, we were delighted with how this casino managed to not depress you like so many. Don't miss understand me we still lost money and expect to do that but it is the only casino that seems to have light colours and the lights not turned down so much. You can spend a little time in the casino and other parts of the hotel and not feel drained. The pool was awesome and the staff so friendly. Also we went to a number of the restaurants and I can't recall the name but the one next to the entrance for the pool was really good, casual and unusually good value. As for the room, loved it! So spacious and the bathroom was great. Room service too was some of the best I've had anywhere. Might have just been luck but it was really good!! Ooooo also the spa was nice, I had a black diamond something massage!

The hotel has an absolute location. It's very close to some of Macau's popular landmarks - Ruins of St. Paul's, Senado Square, Fortaleza do Monte, Camoes Square and Casa Garden, St. Anthony's Church, Leal Senado Building, St. Augustine's Church, Dom Pedro V Theatre, Sir Robert Ho Tung Library, Mandarin's House, Lilau Square, Moorish Barracks, A-Ma Temple and a lot more, even to the casinos like Grand Lisboa, Hotel Lisboa, Wynn Macau, MGM, and also Macau Tower. You can really discover places just by walking, which I did, from the hotel to these popular sights. I didn't have to spend a lot with transportation fees. The hotel is also few steps away from local gift shops, pastry shops, and some eateries, as well as parks and convenience stores. The hotel staff are quite nice, one lady even directed me on how to go to Ruins of St. Paul's. The senior staff who was on duty when I arrived at past 2am on Friday/Saturday was accommodating to my concern despite the limited English when I thought the key got stuck to the key slot. Overall, I'd say I would book with this hotel again when I come back.

before i start, this hotel would have got across the board 5 stars but for one thing. we paid almost 150 euro for our room. for one night. this did not includ breakfast and while the room was excellent (probably the nicest we've stayed in), you can't call it value for money when wifi is not included in the room and breakfast isn't included. as for everything else, well the room was splendid. the ensuite was huge with a portable tv, jacuzzi bath tub, rain shower, and huge counter top and mirror, all laid out in white marble. the walk-in wardrobe was bigger than some cars i've driven. they provided top of the range electronics too, two 40" tvs in the room, brilliant iron and a videl sasoon hairdryer. the bed was king size and while we didn't spend very long it (thanks to the casino downstairs!) it was from memory very comfortable. next to the sleeping area is a lounge with sofa for maybe 5-6 people, coffee tables, arm chairs and the second of the two widescreen tvs. really, the best thing about the sands was the room experience. everything else was great, but if you like your creature comforts and can afford the price, then go for it.
