"The Rio Hotel and Casino proved to be an excellent choice for my fiancee and I. We stayed from the 25th to 29th October 2018. The reception area is impressive and provides a good first impression. I had booked a Deluxe room with daily breakfast and were told upon checking in that we had been allocated an extra large room. The combined area of the lounge/sleeping/bathroom area was huge, ( as big as an average 2 bedroom flat in Australia ) I was happy with the location of the Hotel as it was central to many of Macaus attactions ( almost at the base of Guia Lighthouse ) but not surrounded by other Hotels. There is gambling in the Hotel but we were there for the historic buildings, gardens and temples so I can not report on the gambling activities. On the 2 occasions I used the rooftop swimming pool in the late afternoon I had the facility to myself. "

"The hotel is situated at the centre of Macau City wherein it is very near most of Macau City's major attraction. They also offer free shuttle from-to the port area, though they don't have one going to the Macau Airport. The hotel staff were courteous and helpful. They have very nice and clean rooms. The rooms are well-maintained. The buffet breakfast is good though they are almost with the same variety everyday, but they tastes delicious and most is asian cuisine. I love their variety of bread though. The wi-fi is strong in our room so giving 5 stars to this hotel. "

"I have no expectations when I booked at this hotel since we will only stay here for 1 night. I booked 2 rooms since we're 6 in the group. I checked their website and tried to sent email asking for directions but the email went back. ( I think email on their website is not working anymore). When we arrived at Macau via Turbojet we were approached by a fellow Fillipina and we asked for direction. She mentioned that we need to take bus 3A Praca Ponte Horte/Terminal but we're so excited so as soon as we saw bus 3A we hopped in. We took bus 3APortas Do Cerco Terminal so it took us an hour to figure our way back. Not everyone speak English as well and good thing the one that I asked when we got off at Portas Do Cerco Terminal showed us that way and he tried his very best that we should take another bus 3A Ponte Horte/terminal and we can see our hotel. It took us 30 minutes because it's traffic an it's raining. This is the last stop and as soon as we get off the bus we saw Macau Masters Hotel. The facade of the building is old and not that attractive but the inside is just fine. They charged the fee a 2 days before our stay so it was easy during check in.They have small cafeteria and lobby but clean. The elevator is also small so max of 3-4 per ride and you need your room key to get up to your desired floor. We were surprised to see our room because it's big with standard twin beds. There's also 2 chairs and table with cabinet and small ref inside. Their TV is also big and there's enough space to put things on the table. With complimentary drinks and water heater if you want to drink coffee. The restroom is big as well and with hot/cold shower and batch tub. They have extra bed sheets and comforters inside the cabinet and hangers for your clothes. There's enough bed pillows as well. The room is clean and they have room heater as well. There's free wifi as well. My nephew got too excited in opening cabinets and the door fell off but good thing he was able to move r"

"This hotel is sophisticated and high-class Macau domestic hotel, which has Casino, Sauna and KTV. Their costumers are mainly Chinese but the receptionists are well educated. The room is clean and of course, more reasonable than staying in American hotels. But as I write above the system of internet is big problem. It seems the probelm for many Macau hotels should be improved."

"For a short stay in Macau to see the historical sites what better place to start than one of the oldest casino hotels on the island. The Lisboa is in easy walking distance to the historic centre of Macau and is very well served by all forms of transport. The casinos are somewhat dated, but hey, that is history. The rooms are extremely well equipped and modern with great decor. Relative to the prices of the new modern super casino hotels you get a lot for your money. The staff are very helpful though I be prepared for some delays in the checking process as you will be surprised just how many people stay there."

"Down to earth hotel with everything you need. No casinos attached or nearby, which is great for people who enjoy the quieter and more local residential side of Macau. There are nice small eateries right downstairs offering cuisines of different cultures and a quaint lovable square where locals gather for exercise (in the morning) and ad hoc outdoors drinks (in weekend evenings). Situated in a very navigable location, the hotel is within walking distance from the historic centre (Senado, Ruins of St Paul's, etc). Go across the main street (R do Alm Sergio) and there is a line of interesting industrial wharfs (not to be confused with the artificial tourist construct called Fishermen's Wharf near the ferry terminal to Hong Kong) with godown and wharfing facilities both in and out of use but equally run down (and therefore photogenic).
