Hotels near Macao Museum

at the time i arrived Macao i didn't expect anything much about the accommodation as the rate i had book and paid were not for the 5 stars hotel. there is no shuttle bus to pick up at the airport so i catch the taxi to the hotel. But then when i check in, i found out that i had book the very good hotel. the welcome staffs are very helpful and also they upgrade the premiere room for me (i book for deluxe room) as the room is available. Therefore, i got a free breakfast as the room was upgraded. At first i am quite worry about how to get out as i knew that the hotel is not in the city center area but finally i found out again that all sight seeing points are in the walking distance with the safe environment. furthermore, the shuttle bus services are very convenient, i can save a lots of money that i have to pay for taxi by staying at this hotel. i would recommend for all of u that looking for the best value hotel and friendly service to choose this hotel. Also, i have to go back to Macao again this coming august. Royal Hotel will b the first choice...

the lisboa hotel in macao is a old hotel but stands still in 5 star shine. it is located directly beside the grand lisboa which is at the same time as well one of the biggest casinos in macao. the location is perfect. on macao race days you have the lisboa grand stand opposite of the hotel and the casino grand lisboa on the other side of the hotel. nice bars and clubs are in walking distance. the hotel room service menu is perfect. the rooms are very very luxury in a old style. sad is that they dont have wireless in all rooms. a huge shopping center with lots of restaurants is located in the ground floor and basement.

My stay with my wife at the Harbourview Hotel is probably the best we ever had in Macao so far. The staff are very friendly like Jeffrey, Jed, Tim, Iris and all the others whose names are too many to mention. I would definitely recommend Harbourview Hotel Macao to my friends, relatives and colleagues back home. I am looking forward to my next visit in Macao and will surely stay at the Harbourview Hotel again. Congratulations and keep up the good work !

5 minutes by the hotel shuttle from the macao outer harbour, there are lots of restaurants nearby to choose from early morning till late night, also near two portuguese restaurants, 7-11 and a 24-hour supermarket also within walking diatance. The bus to and from the senado square stops right at the back and in front of the hotel (4-5 stops drive). We booked 2 rooms, one is super spacious, the other one is halved, but both are nicely decorated and super clean. The staffs are friendly and remember their guest well :) Thank you for the nice stay!

Like all hotels in Macao, the deco in the common areas are a little loud and over the top, but rooms are comfy. The downside of this hotel is that it's on the main Macao island, which is essentially pretty dead except for the St Paul ruins. All the action in now at Cotai. There isn't much food option in the hotel - they only have 1 restaurant. There isn't much food choices in the vicinity of the hotel either.

got stuck in macao an extra night on a weekend. had to find a room last minute, this was actually the best and cheapest option, although way more than im accustomed to. great service from the van through my departure the next day. turn down service was nice with hot tea. fresh fruit in the room on arrival- seems to be a macao thing. all the top end stores- seems to be an abundence of them in macao. didnt try any of the restaurants but theres a great locals type place over across the street near the waldo, but tough to cross the street.

It exceeds my expectation, i went to macao with my family, we need a big room, so we chose here. This hotel is a little bit old, but the room is new, i feel comfortable to stay here. Bus stop next by the hotel, and it just need to take a small walk to the attractions, it's convenient. The Thai food restaurant next by the hotel is yummy. If the water pressure in the shower room be stronger, it would be a perfect stay.

Three of my friends recommended that we stay in Hotel Sintra when they found out we were going to Macao. I immediately made my booking and and I was impressed at how my queries,reservation and even booking amendments were handled. Very customer service oriented. The location of Hotel Sintra is superb, almost very near to a lot of places to visit when in Macao. The hotel staff is very courteous and accommodating, rooms are very clean and spacious, room rates are very reasonable. My family enjoyed our stay here in Hotel Sintra. Will definitely go back! And will definitely refer this to my friends who will be visiting Macao soon.

location is convenient. This hotel is new, room decoration was really nice. Room was big and a balcony. Shampoo, body soap kits was L'Occitane. There was bath tub which was big enough for me to enjoy a bubble bath. Breakfast was included but there wasn't much choice. It was a rainy day by the time I reached Macao. I didn't have my own umbrella so I borrowed one from the hotel. There was Anytime fitness right next to the hotel entrance. It was 24/7 and it was free for hotel guest , which I liked it a lot.

The stay at the hotel was very nice. I booked an executive room and was unaware that I could have gone straight up to the 16th floor to check in. The speedy checkout process in the business lounge was nice and fast. I was unable to find a shuttle from the airport to the hotel. They appear to share a shuttle with another chain with Emperor labeled on the outside of the van. Much smaller than the big chains vans. They did have a shuttle to the ferry terminal which was good. For those with onward travel to HKG you have to ensure your time between landing and flight departure is at least 2 hours. I was unable to take the direct ferry to the airport because I would have only had 1.5 hours.

I usually travel alone, and a hotel is just a place to crash after a long day of sightseeing. So I usually don't spend a lot on lodging. Victoria Hotel is one of the best hotel I've stayed at. The room and bathrooms are very spacious and clean, the staff was extremely helpful and courteous. The location is a bit north and out of the way, but it's great because I could experience the culture. Plus, there are 3 bus stops within 2 minute walking distance of the hotel. I did not eat at the hotel, so I have nothing to say about their food. Also, I did not bring a computer nor a smartphone, so I don't know if their wifi works or not. Overall, an awesome experience, and I would definitely recommend it!

Luckily I could speak Mandarin - it really paid off during my stay in Macao. Also, good thing that they hired English, Mandarin speaking staffs at the reception counter but like us, they are also new to Macau City.. therefore, couldn't help us much. The old man was the most friendly and helpful while the mid-age ladies chatting at the reception area are the biggest turn-offs! Everything on the surface is perfect in the room but under the beds - they're not. No problem with hot water, hot shower, aircon - except the remote. Only bath towels and tissues, rubber slippers, automatic kettle are provided. Mostly Chinese programs are on TV. So far, our things are secured inside the room. This hotel is OK for adventurers like us - who prefer sightseeing, shopping & food tasting instead of going to casinos. TIP: Take advantage of free shuttle rides provided by big casino hotels to and from Ferry Terminal. Beware of TAXI DRIVERS who will take you for a long ride. Buses are also very convenient - except you have to pay minimum of MOP3.2 - it will take some time for travelers like us to get use to the transport system. Most Macau people - older ones especially are grouchy. Better seek help from Filipinos in the area.

Stayed along with my parents and it was amazing. From its design outside which is very palace like to the inside where in interior very much like leave up to the design outside. Inside is very luxurious and detailed, room is very spacious and the bed is really comfortable. My mom is shocked on how the television goes up from the cabinet, but the best of all from this hotel are the staff who not only serve us but also made sure that we will be able to have unforgettable stay as it is the 31st anniversary of my parents. From the moment we enter the hotel the front line staff Amad, greeted us and helped us on our luggage and led us to the front desk. Eva did the checking in which is fast and very professional she even greeted my parents a happy anniversary as soon as she knew it. Rose escorted us to the room, she told us all the hotel facilities and room amenities. Brian from the Concierge helped us with our luggage and provided some information in Macau. He also waited for us near the recreation to escort us to go to the lounge on eight. Lyn from the lounge on eight is very nice and engaging, the overall experience in the lounge on eight which is already very good is greatly enhanced because of her costumer engagement. Upon going out. Jury helped us on where to go, he gave us detailed information on which place to visit and which is very good place to go as my mom is having difficulty on walking. The room attendant, Sam, Dennis and Jonathan did a good job, service was really fast. Upon going to recreation Yumiko did a good job even we find it hard to communicate she tried her best to explain every facilities to us at the recreation. The gallery bar is very nice and cozy aswell, it has a very elegant vibe in it and is greatly enhanced by what louie made for us. I checked in there at Jan 22 2013, we are two. Actually its not located at Rua da Felicidade 43-45 -as written my agoda booking receipt-, but its located at the next block; Rua de Caldeira. Strategic location. It is very near from historical tourism place in Macau such as Senado Square, Macau Museum, Ruins of St. Paul Church, etc. If you want to go to Wynn or Grand Lisboa, you can reach there by bus, 10 minutes from this hotel. I think its hard to find backpacker hotel in Macau as comfort as this hotel. The price was a bit higher than others backpacker hostel, but its worth because of good service and very comfort room we've got.

Only 40 minutes from Macao Airport by taking bus No 26 and get off at PRACA PONTE HORTA in front of 7 Eleven. Walk back to the LEFT CORNER of the building, you will see HOTEL SUN SUN on your right. From the hotel, you can walk to Senado Square, St Dominic Church, Ruins of St Paul's etc. Wherever you would like to visit such as A-MA Temple, Church of Our Lady of Penha, Statue of Kun Iam, etc., you can start from such bus stop mentioned above. That's why I said, "Worth staying at Best Western Sun Sun (Hotel Sun Sun) and experience Macao".

well this was the cheapest room available after getting off the boat last minute. turned out to be a really lovely boutique hotel. a bit tricky to find as i was unfamiliar with macao. beautiful spotless lobby, pleasant helpful staff. spacious rooms, pleasantly decorated, gorgeous bathrooms with shower and clawfoot(?) bathtubs. breakfast was good, not amazing- decent variety.

I had stay many hotels in Macau and this is the best so far. Emailed them to inform I'm celebrating my wedding anniversary and they upgraded our room to noble suite and provide a free red wine too. Room is huge, clean and luxurious. There are 3 TV (living room, bed room and bathroom), washing machine, microwave, refrigerator etc. Bathroom is huge and shower items are good (L'OCCITANE). Really feel like a living in a super luxurious home in overseas with 5 stars hotel services. Location is also good ( Stone throw to MGM and few mins walk to Wynn and Starworld). Highly recommended to all type of travellers!

Staff are very helpful (especially Jenn) which makes stay better always in any hotel. Room is enough spacious, clean and comfortable. The best part is Free Phone facility with internet and international calls. Take 26 or MT4 from airport with MOP6 to get down just in front of the hotel. walkable distance to many tourist attractions like Sedano sqaure, A-Ma Temple, Macao Museum, Ruins of St. Paul's, etc. All the bus routes are accessible for here.

We went to check in early but need to wait until 3pm to check in into the Grand Suite. We went to the buffet which cost 418++ and the food is just excellent. Worth the price as the seafood, Chinese food and the variety spoilt our choices and I filled every bit of space in my stomach. When we went back to the receptionist at 4.30 pm, they made a mistake and told me that our room is not ready. My wife was frustrated but the staff was quick to make amendments and gave us a free 1 room super suite upgrade at level 24. The room is the best we could every imagine and it is too luxurious for only both of us. The amenities inside made us speechless and the view made us awake and would not want to sleep. They provide the corner unit which we had the maximum view. We have complimentary soft drinks in the fridge and we could not ask for more. Lastly, the conceirge staff is the best as she recommended us the right place to visit and help to provide all relevant details to book the turbojet back to HK. Thumbs up !

Stayed 1 night in Golden Dragon. really good hotel and recommended. near to Fisherman's Wharf only 5 minutes across the bridge. have shuttle to Venetian if u walk 10 minutes to underground Sand's. this hotel also have shutte bus from Pier if u wanna wait. if u dont bring any luggage u can walk to the hotel from pier only takes 5 minutes. if I go to Macao again surely will stay at Golden Dragon hotel.

I had booked a Deluxe City View and Wynn gave me a free upgrade. The room was the best room I have ever seen in my life. It's spotless clean, it's got all the amenities you can thing of and the view was simply breath taking. The front desk were really accommodating and acted like a real 5 star service reps. The location was central and you could walk to all of the surrounding hotels. Overall, I can't say a single bad thing about this hotel. I highly recommend this hotel.

the sands macao, is mostly a casino which happens to have rooms for players. don't expect a resort with traditional facilities. that said , rooms are just fantastic, very large, living room plus bedroom, immense bathroom, very clean, 2 large lcd tv, very comfortable sofa. it is all great. for family well maybe not the best spot as the hotel is nearly only for casino players.

We chosed this hotel coz i heard it is in the city. very convenient, senado squares which is tourist place for shopping for cheap stuffs, local foods,is just next to the hotel, and even the famous "yee soon dan nai dessert and famous egg tart is also nearby, if u need mcd, there is 2 mcd near the hotel. will come back to stay at this hotel again for our next trip, as we can go back hotel anytime when our kids are tired. and also the food in this area is around mop 20-30, whereas if u stayed in those venetian, galaxy.... that area, the food in the food court is selling around mop55 onwards. the taxi in macao is quite costly, they will charge additional mop5 on top of the meter reading when u travel btwn taipa and city, meter will start at mop13, most of the time will cost us mop35-40.
