our stay at this hotel went exceedingly well for the most part. the staff were helpful and friendly, and kudos to all the concierge staff who went out of their way to ensure we had a great experience. the hotel is located near some of macau's most famous sites, including unesco world heritage site, ruins of st. paul's church, which is only about a 15 minute walk, as is the highest point of macau, the lighthouse at the top of the hill -- also about a 15-20 minute walk. the only negative was that the sign on the 3rd floor that indicates the direction of the swimming pool is very confusing. everyone, including myself, my wife, and literally everyone i watched get off the elevator turned the opposite direction and got confused. when my wife tried to point this confusion out to one of the staff, he got defensive and argumentative and began to express why he thought the sign was fine before he stopped himself, realizing that he was out of line... indeed, it is completely out of line for staff to behave in such a manner to guests. the appropriate response should have been: "i apologize for the confusion, ma'am. i'll take it up with our manager at our next meeting to see if there's anything that can be done about that." (whether he meant it or not... rather than trying to prove a customer wrong). however it really would behoove the staff to listen to customer complaints and suggestions sincerely and try to make improvements rather than just going on the defensive.

I only had a short stay there, but would easily recommend it and would go back again. The hotel is luxurious and grand and not too expensive but quite reasonable in a city where accommodation is usually high-priced. It is also in a great location next to the Grand Lisboa and Wynn. We were given a great room with an excellent view. Thanks Hotel Lisboa staff! I also stayed on the Taipa Cotai strip, but prefer this side of Macau as this 'old' quarter of town has much more ambience, history and things to see. A few minutes walk from the hotel takes you into the Praça and the Largo do Senado offers you wonderful walks and places to see and shop. There is wonderful Portuguese architecture everywhere. From there you can see all the sights such as the the Ruins of St. Paul's church, Luís de Camões Garden, the fort etc. Also there are lots and lots of places to eat; there are crowds everywhere so you can just mingle and try what some the eateries are offering as a sample. And then of course there are the ubiquitous Portuguese "Pastéis de Nata", or Portuguese pastries or egg-tarts, as they're called here. Not quite as great as in Portugal, but pretty close! We had a dozen or more! We were there over Christmas and the Largo do Senado was beautifully lit up and had many decorations, plus a lot of live music. A great experience overall and I hope to be back one day.

The hotel very nice especially their lobby. They free upgrade our room to a suite type, so sweet. The room is spacious and clean. The hotel staff all quite nice & helpful. The hotel got give us a voucher for welcome drinks but only normal drink just limited to 2 persons per room although our room is a triple room for 3 persons. They have a $50 value voucher for us to enjoy the slotting machines too. However, not many eateries nearby and is far from Ruins of St Paul's but public transport easy located nearby with walking distance. Can take bus no. 3 and stop nearby Senado Square, then just walking distance to Ruins of St Paul's, but prepare to walk alot. The hotel has free shuttle bus from ferry terminal to the hotel but no shuttle to airport, taxi is easy to get just in front of the hotel, approx MOP80. Overall we quite satisfied and happy to stay at the hotel.

It really a waste that we were there for just 1 day, room given to us was spacious, high floor, clean and most important is there's free WiFi. Hotel is about 10 to 15 mins walking distance to few casinos like Grand Lisboa, Lisboa, Wynn, Galaxy Star World and others. There're quite a few Chinese cuisine restaurant around the hotel area and about 10 mins walk to McDonald's. We walk from hotel to Ruins of St Paul's Church, took us about 20 to 25 mins. Actually you may consider taking taxi around as the taxi fare is low.

My girlfriend and I enjoyed a lovely stay at the Sofitel Macau at Ponte 16. We were over to see The House of Dancing Water (which was excellent - though beware, we saw the 5pm show and it's nigh impossible to get a taxi afterwards at the City of Dreams. We waited an hour) and decided that we wanted to stay away from the Cotai strip as we have no interest in gambling. The Sofitel’s rooms looked gorgeous and fell into a reasonable price bracket so having booked it the night before, we made our way over after the show. Upon check-in, we were surprised and delighted to have our room upgraded when the staff learned that the trip was a late birthday present for my girlfriend, and our suite on the 17th floor was nothing short of superb. All we wanted was a room with a comfortable bed and a bath big enough for the two of us to unwind in after a long day, and our upgraded digs ticked both boxes off - and then some. Fantastic views from up high, as well. Having missed our dinner reservations at Fernando's (due to the hour-long taxi wait at the City of Dreams), we decided to instead dine at the hotel's Mistral restaurant, treating ourselves to the buffet spread - which was excellent. As the hotel is located conveniently in town, near the western shore of Macau's northern part, we decided to walk into Macau's historic town the next day and see the sights such as the Ruins of St Paul's and the historic fortress on the hill (which also contains the history museum and offers a gorgeous view of the surrounds, including the Sofitel's striking building) before heading home to Hong Kong in the afternoon. All in all, we had a lovely short stay in Macau - in no small part due to our plush room and the great service we enjoyed from all of the hotel staff - and would definitely choose to stay again at the Sofitel Macau on Ponte 16.

I would recommend this hotel if you are on ur budget trip. Location is good, easy to get transportation, very near to the attractions Ruins of St Paul's and Senado Square. There are many restaurants around there by walking distance. The room was good same as the picture shown. I personally felt the bed a little bit hard however the hard beds are good for the elders and they like it very much. The staffs were nice and helpful. They solved our problems immediately once we seek for assistance. Worth for staying.

There is shuttle transport from ferry, but unlike the major hotels, there is only 1 bus ferrying to and fro at any time. We waited for about 15mins at the bus terminal. Wait at the side where the smaller buses are waiting, not at the more crowded, big tourist buses side. The hotel name is quite prominent at the side. Besides the shuttle bus to the ferry, a little further down from the hotel you can find the shuttle bus to the huge casinos on the other side of Macau. This shuttle bus service is provided by City of Dreams, so you can make a trip there and explore casinos like Venetian and Galaxy as well. Hotel location is walking distance to Grand Lisboa, that gigantic golden tower that you can easily spot. It's quite some distance away from Wynn. If you wish to visit Ruins of St Paul's, it's about 15min walking distance, which is quite convenient. Hotel room comfort is excellent. No smoke smell, barely any traffic noise from outside. Clean, plenty of room.

Probably it is because of weekend stay, hotel price in Macau was generally higher than weekdays. After spending a lot of time searching, I decided to book Fu Hua Guangdong Hotel because of its convenient location. I used Google Map to look at the location. My mother was travelling with us and this was one of the very few hotels that offer 3 bedded room at a reasonable price. PROS: Convenient, 15 mins walk to Ruins of St Paul's, good public bus network, near ferry terminal accessible by bus 32 CONS: The only letdown was the inavailability of Free Wifi throughout our stay. Over promise and under-delivered

Pros 1. Hotel is within walking distance to the Ruins of St Paul, Senado Square and other tourist destinations. It is also near Sofitel Hotel where a free shuttle is available and open to tourist. 2. All the staff we met are english speaking. They are courteous and very helpful in giving directions so moving around is easy. Special thanks to the filipinos assigned in the dining and and to the receptionist. We were not able to ask all their names but one of them if we are not mistaken is jason 3. Room is clean and spacious. There is hot water. Con for me is the breskfast. Choices are limited.

I usually travel alone, and a hotel is just a place to crash after a long day of sightseeing. So I usually don't spend a lot on lodging. Victoria Hotel is one of the best hotel I've stayed at. The room and bathrooms are very spacious and clean, the staff was extremely helpful and courteous. The location is a bit north and out of the way, but it's great because I could experience the culture. Plus, there are 3 bus stops within 2 minute walking distance of the hotel. I did not eat at the hotel, so I have nothing to say about their food. Also, I did not bring a computer nor a smartphone, so I don't know if their wifi works or not. Overall, an awesome experience, and I would definitely recommend it!

Room: The room is clean and equipped with the basic features that hotel room have, e.g. toiletries, kettle, TV, hair dryer, slipper and complimentary mineral water. Size of the room consider big comparing to the stay in Hong Kong's guest house a night before. Services: The hotel staffs were friendly and helpful. They even help us to heat up the unfinished packed outside food. The buffet breakfast not expensive though, roughly MOP 36 with assorted buffet menu. Location: Can reach by taking public bus no. 26 (from Macau International Airport & Taipa Temporary Ferry Terminal), if taking Cotai ferry from Tsim Sha Tsui or Hong Kong island. The hotel is just 200-300m from Macau Inner Harbour Ferry Terminal bus stop after you hop down from the bus no. 26. Walking distance (5 - 20mins) to most of the Macau tourism hotspots, e.g. "Leal Senado" Building, Senado Square, Holy House of Mercy, Cathedral, St. Dominic's Church, Ruins of St. Paul's, Mount Fortress & etc. Me and my bf even went to Lisboa Casino by walking (about 25mins from Mount of Fortress). There are free shuttle buses to The Venetian (every 30mins, last bus 9.30pm) near the Macau Inner Harbour Ferry Terminal bus stop.

they have the best buffet in town. senado square and ruins of st. paul is just walking distance from the hotel. the hotel has the best buffet in town.. the noodles and congee restaurant is a good place too. i will definitely come back here. the rooms are so unique. the service is excellent. free mini bar and wifi. free shuttle service from macau ferry terminal. as soon as we arrive the ferry port, staff from grand lisboa are welcoming us to macau n guided us to the bus station. hopefully we will be back by next year

If you want to be within walking distance to many of Macau's usual attractions, this is one of the best options. The Ruins of St. Paul's, Senado Square, and even Lisboa are just within walking distance. There are a lot of shops and restaurants nearby, too. It would have been great to have a minibar/fridge in the room, especially when traveling with an infant. The staff were nice even when it got busy with the check-ins and checkouts. It was a nice stay.

Stayed along with my parents and it was amazing. From its design outside which is very palace like to the inside where in interior very much like leave up to the design outside. Inside is very luxurious and detailed, room is very spacious and the bed is really comfortable. My mom is shocked on how the television goes up from the cabinet, but the best of all from this hotel are the staff who not only serve us but also made sure that we will be able to have unforgettable stay as it is the 31st anniversary of my parents. From the moment we enter the hotel the front line staff Amad, greeted us and helped us on our luggage and led us to the front desk. Eva did the checking in which is fast and very professional she even greeted my parents a happy anniversary as soon as she knew it. Rose escorted us to the room, she told us all the hotel facilities and room amenities. Brian from the Concierge helped us with our luggage and provided some information in Macau. He also waited for us near the recreation to escort us to go to the lounge on eight. Lyn from the lounge on eight is very nice and engaging, the overall experience in the lounge on eight which is already very good is greatly enhanced because of her costumer engagement. Upon going out. Jury helped us on where to go, he gave us detailed information on which place to visit and which is very good place to go as my mom is having difficulty on walking. The room attendant, Sam, Dennis and Jonathan did a good job, service was really fast. Upon going to recreation Yumiko did a good job even we find it hard to communicate she tried her best to explain every facilities to us at the recreation. The gallery bar is very nice and cozy aswell, it has a very elegant vibe in it and is greatly enhanced by what louie made for us. Has ben stay here for twice.location was superb,walking distance to tourist attraction such as Ruins Of St Paul's,Monte Fort,Senado Square,St Dominic's Church,Lisboa casino, etc. Room was clean & modern. i'm taking free shuttle bus from airport to Wynn hotel,walking distance about 20minutes to Tai sum un hotel. You can request taxi service from front counter. 2 Front counter girl provided a very good customer service, definitely will come back agains.

Only 40 minutes from Macao Airport by taking bus No 26 and get off at PRACA PONTE HORTA in front of 7 Eleven. Walk back to the LEFT CORNER of the building, you will see HOTEL SUN SUN on your right. From the hotel, you can walk to Senado Square, St Dominic Church, Ruins of St Paul's etc. Wherever you would like to visit such as A-MA Temple, Church of Our Lady of Penha, Statue of Kun Iam, etc., you can start from such bus stop mentioned above. That's why I said, "Worth staying at Best Western Sun Sun (Hotel Sun Sun) and experience Macao".

This is without a doubt one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. The room was spacious and beautiful, with a balcony facing Fisherman's Wharf, which offers a great view except in my case it was hampered by bad weather. You can expect all the usual amenities, and the staff provided excellent service. However, if you are looking for easier access to the city area e.g. St Paul's Ruins or Venetian, it will be a bit far from Fisherman's Wharf. Sands Casino is nearby, and if you can walk there, there should be shuttle buses to Venetian.

It is my third time staying back at Presidente hotel, it's where you can do casino-hopping. Even if you don't gamble, it is still a jaw dropping experience. Come back to Presidente, the lobby looks grand from the gold cravings with the marble design abit mixture of chinese and western design. We arrived there at 10 plus am, checked in but the room was not ready yet which was understandable. So we just checked our luggage at the lobby and went to hunt for local food just behind Presidente. The modern HK style cafeteria I'm recommending is directly opposite Holiday Inn hotel across the road, most right side at the corner. Food is good, resonable pricing and quite a number of foods to choose. After having our early lunch, we went back to the hotel to try our luck in checking in at 11 plus am. The staff told us the non-smoking connecting rooms, one of it is not ready and she is not sure whether will the guests be checking out. She gave us a choice to check into the smoking connecting rooms at the top floor. We looked hesitated as all of us are non smokers, the staff went the extra mile in letting us check the room before checking us in. The room did not have a strong smoke stench, so we were alright with it. Chinese do have a habit when you are playing slots, they would insert their own membership card into your machine without your permission to gain points. They also like to pay attention girl that are gambling alone there, pretty make people uncomfortable especially we will split up when we are in the casino. Overall, I would stay in Presidente if I return to macau especially when I will be bringing my first timer friends or relatives to macau. It is just too convenient to even walk to the Ruins of St Paul, there is also good foods to stop by and eat and stuffs to shop for along the way. Thumbs up!!

I visited Macau for 2 days 1 night with wife and 3 children The hotel is new, clean and has spacious room. The staffs were very helpful. Yes its located quite far from the city but there is a bus mini terminal nearby, we can take bus number 18A to go to The Ruin of st. Paul. will take approx 15-20 minutes to get there. Restaurants, mcDonalds, mini mart is a walking distance We enjoyed our time there and would recommend this hotel for family.

Staff are very helpful (especially Jenn) which makes stay better always in any hotel. Room is enough spacious, clean and comfortable. The best part is Free Phone facility with internet and international calls. Take 26 or MT4 from airport with MOP6 to get down just in front of the hotel. walkable distance to many tourist attractions like Sedano sqaure, A-Ma Temple, Macao Museum, Ruins of St. Paul's, etc. All the bus routes are accessible for here.

homelike rooms, very clean, mini bar is free. sights on the top floor of the hotel was beautiful, pool area, close to city center, just walk away for about 15 minutes had reached the center of town, and 30 minutes to the ruins of buildings bersejaran saint paul, namyak traditional food in the city center, building architecture a very luxurious hotel especially at night and the atmosphere of Christmas, on the walls of many of the lights of the colorful picture, very beautiful, there is also a buffet restaurant not too expensive which is located near the MGM casino, just per person, seafood and other food in great delicious

I took a day off from Hong Kong to visit Macau. I selected this hotel because it was very close to the main Turbojet ferry terminal (though not for Cotai and other ferries). Hotel is visible from the ferry itself. There is an airconditioned elevated walkway for two thirds of the distance to the hotel - which made life easy for me since I had my suitcase. Outstanding location for this purpose. Hotel itself was very nice. Rooms and bathrooms were of adequate size and well furnished to 4 star standards and worth what I paid for it. A few tips for Indian travellers: Many reviews say the bed is hard - but the hardness is similar to coirfoam and sleepwell mattresses which I use at home and I did not find it a problem. Only those used to spring mattresses will find it hard. Bathroom has no hand flush or bidet system, so be prepared. If you are a vegetarian, there is absolutely nothing to eat near the hotel - be prepared to travel very far to find food. Shops nearby (there are many) will sell you bread, cheese slices and butter only. Nobody speaks English and people including shopkeepers are very rude. A few tips for family travellers: This hotel has entire floors dedicated to "services" like Sauna 18 (which means "massage services" if you get my meaning) and table dancing (that is what it says on the lift button). Outsiders also come. The latter apparently is an adult show where a man and woman do "everything" in front of a crowded audience - touted to me as a f*** show. This is not a place to take children unless you want to answer some embarassing questions - and definitely not for adolescents. The casino has mainly black jack and if you dont speak Chinese and are not a gambler, you cant understand anything at all. Rooms are full of smoke. There is no Roulette (it is there in 3-4 nearby Giant sized casinos - Macau is full of casinos around every corner, full of smoke and crowd). There are good buses nearby to go all over Macau. Great location for sight

The hotel has an absolute location. It's very close to some of Macau's popular landmarks - Ruins of St. Paul's, Senado Square, Fortaleza do Monte, Camoes Square and Casa Garden, St. Anthony's Church, Leal Senado Building, St. Augustine's Church, Dom Pedro V Theatre, Sir Robert Ho Tung Library, Mandarin's House, Lilau Square, Moorish Barracks, A-Ma Temple and a lot more, even to the casinos like Grand Lisboa, Hotel Lisboa, Wynn Macau, MGM, and also Macau Tower. You can really discover places just by walking, which I did, from the hotel to these popular sights. I didn't have to spend a lot with transportation fees. The hotel is also few steps away from local gift shops, pastry shops, and some eateries, as well as parks and convenience stores. The hotel staff are quite nice, one lady even directed me on how to go to Ruins of St. Paul's. The senior staff who was on duty when I arrived at past 2am on Friday/Saturday was accommodating to my concern despite the limited English when I thought the key got stuck to the key slot. Overall, I'd say I would book with this hotel again when I come back.
