No cons only pros this hotel is Brand new everything is clean the sheets and bed are so comfortable and soft the breakfast is the best I have ever seen in a hotel in the world what ever food you want they have it and 7 star all clean and tasty the staff can't do enough for you The pool on the 29floor is a must see and the bar restaurant on the 30th floor has the views like you have not seen before everything about this hotel is first class will stay every time we visit Rayong we have family there so we visit often

You could tell that the management team of this nice-small hotel is working hard, the room is in great condition and clean. We requested double bed and got two single beds attached to each other and they made it very well that we didn't feel the connection of the beds so we had very huge bed. The staff were nice and helpful , especially the cleaning lady and the security guard, they were super friendly. They had 2 bikes for free rental but the street in front of the hotel was not easy to ride, big street with very fast driving cars. I rode to the beach though and it's quite peaceful. Ask for the room with pool view so you don't get too noisy from the street. 5 min walk to shopping mall. I think it's worth the price compare to big chain hotel next to the mall. D Varee was well equipped with all facilities except sauna room and toothbrush which we didn't mind at all. Instead, they paid attention to small details which made our stay more comfortable.

I had booked a Superior Room with request for a large bed and high floor via Agoda. Upon check-in, I had been allocated a room with twin bed on the mid 3rd floor. I was then informed that all Superior rooms come with twin beds. Agoda should have correctly reflected this condition on their booking page to inform customers. I was given Room 6634 which was in the same zone as Star Gym on the 2nd floor and Housekeeping would make the twin beds into one large bed which was fine with me. I headed for my room and was shocked to hear frequent loud thuds which were echoes of the loud thuds from gym users who had thrown their weights about in the gym. I could even hear the loud thuds outside my room as I passed by the common walkway. The receptionists Khun Kanyapha Rawanwong and Khun Thanida Chianglee were very friendly and helpful from the time I checked in. They heard my concerns of the loud thuds and changed me to room 6612 which was wonderfully quiet. They even remembered to get Housekeeping to make the twin beds in Room 6612 into 1 large bed. Khun Kanyapha Rawanwong and Khun Thanida Chianglee really impressed me with their friendliness and good service.The hotel is also well located as there is a huge night market, Tesco supermart and also a small mall. There is also a well equipped gym with a large pool for one to relax oneself. I enjoyed my stay very much at the hotel with its great staff such as Khun Kanyapha Rawanwong and Khun Thanida Chianglee and good amenities and will definitely stay at this hotel again should I be in Rayong City for my next business trip.

Exceptional Experience! The owner, Mr. Kovit C., went out of his way to provide help for everything we needed as international travelers (from United States). The breakfast was cheap and very delicious. The location was central and close to a major shopping mall, and a number of businesses. There was a wonderful restaurant next door (ask staff for name of resteraunt, it was an outdoor place with exceptional food and relaxed environment.) The hotel itself was wonderful, it was very clean, tidy and modern with a very comfortable feel. There was also a nice flat screen TV with lots of programs including English channels. I couldn't have got a better value with rooms under $40/night!! Thanks Hub de Leaf!

We spent 2 nights at this hotel. Although we booked and preferred a large single bed as we were travelling with a son but the hotel gave us twin beds but we can join them together. However, the bed was so much comfortable compared to the various 4 or 5 stars that we experienced with. We stayed in the new building (about 4 years old). The room was quite cool and decorated with modern stlye but the sofa looks cheap compared to other furnitures. Hotel amenities were provided. The hotel has meduim size swimming pool both for kids and adults on the second floor. Spa, message service, and fitness certre were also available on the same floor. Breakfast was good i.e. different menu / dishes were provided each day with ofcourse standard menu e.g. bread, salad. The hotel was situated opposite the night food stall centre and close to Laemthong shopping mall i.e. about 5 minutes walk.

We had the “Grand Deluxe Room” for 6 nights, we stayed in Rayong to visit family so the location was good for us. The comfort of the room was very good to excellent, better than some 5 star hotels we stayed at this trip. The bed and pillows were very comfortable, the TV was about 32” and channel reception was good. The small lounge was nice and the computer chair was great! The WiFi was OK when it was working but wasn’t reliable enough for me, having to repeatedly log in was a pain. The bathroom would have been great if the shower glass had been sealed stopping the floor from getting wet. I was a little confused about our room as the pictures were different to what I was expecting and there was no microwave, as in the room description. Staff assured me I was given the right room. The staff were very good and most spoke English well enough. The hotel security is much better than average. Quality door locks and large room safe were excellent. Breakfast was OK with a reasonable choice, the coffee was better than average. The lack of restaurant and room service was a disappointment for me. Getting a taxi wasn’t always as easy as it should be, this appears to be a “Rayong Taxi” thing as they no longer use the meter and some drivers seem to choosy about the fare. Overall we enjoyed our stay, but not sure I would stay there again.

We stayed in the Deluxe Star for about 5 days. We enjoyed our stay! Check in was speedy and efficient. The room was lovely and clean, the air conditioner whisper quiet! The bathroom was very well appointed and had a full size bathtub, separate from the shower which was fully enclosed. The room was well furnished which added to our comfort. The bed was great! Writing/computer desk. Small dining table, comfy chairs, fridge, microwave, room safe Free WiFi etc… We received not only free breakfast, included in our booking but vouchers for buffet dinner every night as well! The quality of the food was good and always a selection of Thai or Western. Cocktails seemed inexpensive and the beer reasonably priced. We also received a voucher each day for 1 free massage! All in all the reception staff were friendly and professional, the cleaning staff were fast, thorough and very good. The spa/ massage staff were lovely, and the restaurant staff good. The hotel is well situated. Next time we stay in Rayong will have no hesitation in staying there again.

i visited the hotel on 25th july 2012 and found the hotel to be a very perfect choice as the rooms were very clean and big when compared to some other hotels in pattaya or even nearby. we had a very warm welcome by the front desk who gave us all the information neccessary during our stay and smilled all the time. i strongly recommend everyone to come try it out as the price of the rooms are very cheap. the breakfast is more of a thai/chinese breakfast, but they also had bread, ham, sausage, and fried egg for you. it was delicious and they took good care of the food. the only problem that i had was the shower. they need to change the showers to a better quality so that the water can flow better and smoothly.

The strange thing is that at the other end of the hotel is a outside lounge area and delivery area which would of been a better location. We were on the second floor where there was a convention hall opposite our room. If there had been a meeting it would of been very disturbing. Why not put it at the end of the building away from all the rooms? In the lift there was a poster promoting the roof terrace with a live band 3 days a week so I decided to take a look even though they weren't playing as the area sounded interesting. This is where the gym is located and another room that looks like where someone lives. There is only small walkways between the buildings and I'm intrigued to how they would host this event. I was expecting a garden area with a bar. Heard somebody coming into their room around midnight. Not them speaking just the sound of their case rolling through the hallway and their doors opening. All in all it's a decent hotel but not what I was expecting. All the facilities feel like they have been shoehorned in to reach a certain star rating. It's good for a short stay but not the type of place to stay with a family for more than a day or two. Probably more suited to a business trip.

I spent a very pleasant 2 days at this hotel. It's new and clean with huge rooms. The location is right on Sukhumvit but set back far enough so that it was quiet. I didn't care for the free breakfast but that is a given at almost all hotels. There is a coffee shop out front and a 7-11 not too far away. The staff were very nice and helpful. I would definitely stay here again the next time I'm in town.

It was ok for $20 per night, brand new hotel alongside the Sukhumvit highway, next to a 7-11 convenience store and night market that sells lots of street food, also close to Rajbamrung Road in Rayong where you can find the German Bierhaus restaurant, and the Western style beer bar restaurants, Y33 bar and The Joker bar, also a short walk to the Passione shopping mall and Laemthong Department store. Hotel will book you a taxi to the new Rayong bus terminal for 120 THB, only complaint with the hotel is not a single English channel on the TV.

Just very important, nobody rent motorbike in Rayong, and this is the problems.I make longtime and i few one shop motorbike, i rent small motorbike from him, i no have problems, is friendly man, but this is not shop for rent motorbike, only repair big bike ( like harley ), but he can help you for small bike. When you go outside from the hotel, you go left, about 500 meters, before seven eleven, you will see 1 big shop repair big bike, him have also small motorbike, just ask him. ( si vous souhaiter louer une moto, cest tres dure a trouver a Rayong, et vous en aurez besoin, en sortant de l'hotel, prenez a gauche, un peu pres 500 metres, avant seven eleven, il ya un thai qui repare des grosses moto, genre harley, cest pas un loueur de scooter, mais il ma depanner un petit scooter, et jai eu aucun souci, tres bon depannage, autrement jai chercher partout un scooter, je trouvais pas.

Staffs are friendly. Good accommodation. Not cheap but it is clean. Bring your own shampoo. They have soap. They have free bottled drinking water. They have tv but I don’t know if it works bc I didn’t try it. Lol. The shower is pretty hot. I tried to make it cool but it was hot. No kettle but they provide free coffee around 6-8 am. Bring your own slippers. Free wifi.

I was very impressed with this hotel, especially for the price. It's within 2 kilometers of downtown Rayong, but still has a very rural type appearance to it with beautiful lawns and a river running through the rear of the property and cattle grazing on the opposite side. The room had a beautiful outside view. The room was clean, modern and everything worked, it had a mini-bar in it, and the prices were surprisingly reasonable compared to most hotels. Madina is about a 10 minute walk to the evening market and there are restaurants available there. The buffet breakfast was basic but good. The only slight negative comment was that the bed had a very hard Asian style mattress that was not very comfortable, but acceptable.

This hotel located on the eastern outskirts of Rayong just off Sukhumvit Road is clean and comfortable. The staff are very nice and helpful. It does not have brilliant vistas but if you are in Rayong or the surrounding area for business and have a car then this place is a good buy. No restaurant but it has a 7/11 and food stalls (in the evening). There is a laundry and a hole in the wall restaurant next door. Restaurant serves Thai food only. There is a big shopping mall just down the street and an "ok" beach is close. You can get to both via taxi bus (10 baht/person open air bus). If you want to go to the nicer beaches and attractions in the area then rent a car.

Booked 1 night stayed for 5 nights as hotel is very good value & very clean with very present staff also close to Passione shopping mall with a big c supermarket, Tje local main bus station about a mile away with buses to the beach for 15baht. I will go again to this hotel when I come to Rayong, which is a very nice town, typically Thai, very friendly, helpful people( the best). Many people do speak English so no problem with language as people have commented previously.
