Hotels near White Palace

We were booked to stay at the Sammy Hotel but due to poor conditions left after one day and went to Seaside Resort. We were greeted by friendly staff and our room was excellent, large with a spa bath and a balcony view that overlooked the ships in the bay. The breakfast buffet was excellent and catered for Western and Asian tastes and plenty of it. Once again the staff were courteous and always happy. This is one of the best value and nicest hotels in Vung Tau and highly recommended.

Everything was so great except we booked and paid more for apartment but they offered me the petro suite which it smaller with no kitchen, Agoda couldn't helped. Because hotel explained they have no apartment as is showed on Agoda. Anyway u should not book apartment unless u want to pay more to stay in petro suite. Everything else was great, big suite, room service awesome, breakfast buffet delicious, staffs friendly accept staffs worked in restaurant. The most important thing I like is the jacuzzi bathtub that you hardly find even in 5 star hotel. Loved it. And the reasonable price can beat anywhere. I will still stay here for next visit vung tau even though the problem I've had here

The palace hotel is a fantastic place to stay for the price you pay. Besides the obvious need of a little facelift around the place which did not bother my wife or I as it has everything a person could need. Staff are beautiful, friendly and helpful, buffet breakfast is great, meals at hotel are very well priced and it’s the only place I stay when in Vung Tau and I’ve tried almost all the hotels there.

We always stay at this hotel when we want to be in Bai Truoc (the front beach, where you cannot swim but have beautiful views of the ocean). Reception staff are very friendly, rooms are spacious, clean and the Deluxe rooms have amazing views of the ocean. Breakfast is excellent, especially now that they have replaced their brand of coffee. Ocean walk is across the street, parks and coffee shops nearby. Nice, large, clean swimming pool in the premises. Highly recommend and with the best prices in town!

I have stayed here as both solo traveler (many months) and as a couple. All staff are very friendly and helpful, the reception and bellhops were very good although the breakfast buffet crew were a little slow and unobservant (a maitre d would help). The buffet breakfast is pretty good and they cook fresh eggs and noodles etc. The rooms are large, and well appointed although the bath/shower in some rooms can be a bit poor. The Location is the best for visitors as it is opposite the front beach and park that lines it, as well as within easy walking distance of many expat bars and restaurants. The Hotel has a very nice pool and excellent gym. The pool has a very big and beautiful tree towering over part of it. There is also a casino and an excellent spa/massage facility in the newer Palace hotel with backs onto and joins with the Grand.

It is a nice 4-star hotel, located in a quite street but close to the front beach and many good restaurants. I booked two rooms and both were very clean, the staff was smiley all the time and very helpful. Breakfast was not so special but there were many kinds of food for us to choose. It's beyond our expectations and we will recommend it to our colleagues and friends.

Its my 3rd visit to Vungtau, and 2nd time to stay at Petro House Hotel. Location was fairly convenient,within the 'city center'. Vungtau is a resort/seaside town, peppered with spas/coffee houses/bars/Italian and western-type restaurants. Prices in these restaurants are still cheap. Even the humble french bread/bagette is freshly baked everyday. Unless its a holiday over there, this sleepy town is a pleasure to walk around the park/coastal/beach areas. Renting a motorbike at per day to sightsee is the cheapest way anywhere. Sit back and relax for a cuppa of local brew (Vietnamese coffee is one of the best, hot or cold, black or white, its one of the best i've tasted so far.... and ITS CHEAP!!! If you must get into the hustle and bustle of city-life, jump onto the ferry (terminal is barely 5 mins away)

trip started off on the wrong foot, so expectations were low. even still, i'm fairly confident that had the trip started out as planned, the stay still would have been enjoyable. the hotel and room was nicer than expected, as was the pool. in fact, the kids loved the pool and the view overlooking the ocean was very nice. part of the railing along the deep end of the pool was broken, but our kids weren't using that end so it wasn't really a problem. the only other real test ky hoa passed was when we decided to extend our stay another night. i booked the wrong room type on agoda (in the hotel lobby). the staff said they couldn't change the booking (only agoda could) which seemed weird. afer a few lengthy exchanges, we asked to speak with the manager. just when it seemed we were getting the standard VN runaround ('let-them-wait-and-maybe-the problem'll-just-go-away'), the manager emerged from the office with an agoda rep on the line, asking if we would speak with her. wow. overall, nice hotel. better than expected location (walking distance to cable car), quality of room, breakfast buffet, pool, and customer service. we didn't need to rely on the staff for activities or transportation, but i was impressed with the overall experience. would definitely go back.

My third visit to Vung Tau ,Royal Hotel is just a normal hotel which I feel is over priced, short walk to the beach but I rather use the pool next door. Location is ok , walking distance to the night life, cable car station and white palace which is not advisable .A visit to the famous Thanh Phat seafood restaurant is a must, they serve it fresh and is reasonable. Will visit V T again next year.

Another hotel I have stayed in over the past 8 years. Staff really friendly and pleasant, willing to help in anyway they can. Price good with breakfast, other meals good although menu hasn't changed much. Beer always cold, aircon in all rooms that actually work, staff at the front desk will help you will travel arrangements back to Ho Chi Minh. Will stay there again on my next visit.

Great location very very big and very new room. I think just renovate, room outside also is big area, Hotel is very quietly, come to 11.00pm all the coffee house is close, the hotel just infront the sea view turn at the back hotel is a main road, very convenient for the food restaurant, i like it, best features of the hotel, customer service with smile and english very well can understand. but we book with agoda offer very cheap.

I booked a deluxe room for $24 and I will say that this is the nicest room I have booked so far in Vietnam. Stylishly remodeled about one year ago. Hardwood floors; matching dark wood furniture; beautifully tiled bathroom with glass enclosed shower; nice Samsung flat panel tv with English sports and movie channels (although all the channels were fuzzy - perhaps they need to realign the satellite dish); comfy mattress with a thick soft comforter; and very quiet, right up until about 7am when the streets begin to buzz with motorbike traffic. Reception staff speak excellent English and are friendly and helpful. There is a restaurant on site that serves reasonably priced meals, and also a bar with a pool table. Very convenient. It is a short walk to a beautiful park filled with interesting sculptures and from there to the sea side. You are not near a beach, but a harbor filled with fishing boats, very scenic location. Just to the north is the cable car, just to the south is the ferry stop, and farther around the corner is the giant Jesus statue. If you want to walk on the beach, you will have to hire a taxi. Restaurants and bars are numerous in this part of town. All that said, this is a great hotel! I will definitely be back!

i stay a night at song huong which located behind rex hotel and royal hotel. in fact, my room on 2nd floor oversee the rex massage spa entrance. the hotel is an old hotel, however, it is very clean, has a spacious room, cozy wall to wall carpeted, wooden furniture and a balcony.it cost less than usd30 compared to royal hotel and rex hotel, considered cheap. it has all the cabel tv channel and great restaurant with reasonable price for dining. it location is also within less than 3 minutes walk to the town square.
