The staff makes me not consider Ka Meng Villa for future stays”
I was actually impressed with the rooms in Ka Meng Villa, after having been in budget hotels in Hong Kong. They have toiletries and an electric kettle in the room. They also provide you with an adapter upon check-in. Only thing we had a problem with in the room is the bed. Bed is too hard. Everything was acceptable fot the price I paid except for the staff. Check in person was nice so I am able to still give 2 stars because of her. But the rest of the staff are the worst. We are travellers and would like to see Macau as much as we can so we got back to Ka Meng Villa at around 1am. The front desk lady was sleeping on the sofa in the reception area! Also, when we were in the room already, she knocked and told us we were too noisy because of too much movement around the room. So we had to move about in the room quietly as we understood it was already after 1am. But I had to take a shower before going to bed and while I was taking a shower, she then again knocked saying that the shower was creating too much noise!!!???? How should one move about in this room then?? And mind you, they don’t even try to speak english for you so they just sound like they are shouting at you and hand signaling what they mean. Maybe staff needs a little bit more training on Customer Service.

great budget hotel”
the room is very clean for a budget hotel. space is not bad given the budget hotel. location is a little bit further inside but still easy to find the place. nearby bus stop that can bring you to venetian, macau tower. if i travel to macau again, i would definitely stay here. there was a surprise, at the sam time, there was a bazaar around the place and it just made my stay in ka meng villa perfect! amazing short holiday in macau. love it

Best choice for lone traveller”
I stay in their single room and to be honest, Ka Meng Villa is way more better than i expected. The room is clean, big, cozy and safe. Indeed a pleasant stay. Definitely will choose Ka Meng Villa if i ever visit Macau again. To reach the hotel, u may took the free Sofitel shuttle bus from the dock. It's just 5 minutes walk from Sofitel Hotel.

Convenient location”
It's easy to locate Ka Meng. I just walked from Grand Lisboa and used Google maps as a guide. The place itself is a short walk from Senado and there's a bus station nearby. The room is clean and spacious but the mattress is a bit hard. A/C and shower heater worked well. The downside is they don't give keycards to guests so I had to disturb the attendant whenever I needed to leave and enter the room. But I still recommend the place - it offers value for money relative to Macau prices. Don't forget to have spare 200 MOP/HKD ready for the security deposit.

Budget-friendly stay”
For a solo traveller, Ka Meng is definitely a go-to hostel in Macau. It's clean and safe, near to parks and attractions and most of all, it won't hurt your pockets. I'll definitely stay here when I go back to Macau. 👍

A Good Place to Stay if you managed your Expectation”
By managing your expectation I did not mean the accommodation is in anyway incompetent. Because you will (probably) be paying a 3 star hotel price tag in comparison to other destinations for this budget, motel-like accommodation, so do understand that, although the price is rather hefty, this is considered a budget option in the very expensive casino city like Macau. But you can expect a really clean place with friendly and helpful front desk! She speaks fluent Mandarin and adequate Cantonese and is always available if you needed anything. A very nice person to interact with. The room maybe basic but it is absolutely practical and functional- with a TV and plenty of charging outlets. (Front desks can lend you a universal plug if you need one) Location is most perfect, central and walking distance to everything you need to see within the peninsula. I had stayed in really tiny & stuffed rooms in HK before and I thought to expect similar in the also quite compact Macau... but surprisingly the room I was assigned had great windows that allows sunlight penetrations and also a walk-in bathroom suite, making the space very easy to be in . However, it can still be small for us as foreigners whom are used to larger living spaces... ... i am only 164cm tall myself but would constantly hit my ankle or knee when using the bathroom. None deal-breaker though... just be mindful I guess. The only caveat might have been the hardest bedding I have ever came across in my travels... ... perhaps a mattress topper could help. There’s an AC available, it was working, just not too optimally. All in all a good stay and I am happy to recommend this place to others!

Very nice to enjoy your trip but dirty.”
It's located to find major tourist spots. Senado square, jurkey street, shoppingmall, church...! Whatever you want, you can get there easily. But mosquito, only 2 floor can use free wifi, very very small room(especially, cheaper one), really dark around this accommodations, part timer and owner are very loud even i can't sleep at all, it was toooooo hard to get here from an Airport. People who live in Macau don't know ka meng vila... So you might try to find by yourself... The best important thing is that they can't speak English at all... exept a man who work once 2 days... Good luck everybody if you decide to stay here. Let me give you a tip(How to find ka meng vila from Macau international Airport) : Get a Wynn macau shuttle bus behind an airport -> cross the street when you are front of Wynn by using the under passageway -> Walk straight on and on if you can see grand lisboa hotel (put lisboa by your right side) -> just keep walking until pass total 2 bus stop (you can see many jewellery shops) -> Turn right(until when tere are no juwellery shops at your right side, after passing construction site) -> turn right if you can see some coffee shop and restaurant -> See your left side.. you can find Ka meng...finally!! BTW you have to charge deposit money 200$ when you are checking in. (of course, hong kong or macau dollor). Have a good trip. Enjoy!

The location is ok”
Get a free shuttle bus to Sofitel hotel (the free shuttle bus runs at ferry terminal and border gate). You just need to cross the street once you have arrived Sofitel via shuttle bus. Ka Meng Villa is located near there. We can walk to St Paul and Senado Square, too from Ka Meng. The room is lovely, it’s clean. The staff are friendly. They speak Mandarin and a little bit English

Excellent”
It was worth value for money. I stayed there for 1 night and my overnight stay felt comfortable. Airconditioning is awesome, pillows and beddings are clean and smells fresh. Seems like you have checked in in a hotel. There's a water dispenser and water is for free. Bathroom is clean and have toiletries. Slippers were provided also. The staff is accomodating and tries their very best to understand your needs despite language barrier. I really had a great stay at Ka Meng! ♥

A good way to start your time in Macau if you want it to feel authentic”
We spent our first night here. It is in a real Macau street (not a Casino district) and was a great introduction to the real Macau. Great to walk the nearby streets people watching. The room is very small but clean, comfy and with very good wifi and aircon. For the price, it is a very decent deal. We stayed in a casino hotel the following evening and we are glad we had both experiences of Macau

Spacious and Near Attractions”
I arrived in the middle of the night and didn't had a hard time looking for the place and checkin was fast. I was so famished when I arrived I went out to hunt for food. To my surprise senado square was just on the corner, ruins of st paul was just 5 minutes away too (taking the old narrow st of macau, which more enjoyable really) Surrounding area is safe, didn't feel like I was in danger. The room is spacious, clean linen, towels...hot shower, cold aircon...they have a drinking water dispenser but during my stay there was no water (it could save you some 12hkd per bottle in macau) Don't expect any facilities it's a small "villa" and most prolly you stay in most of the time anyway. Warning, buy your macau pass! Bus is their main transport here...and they only accept coins and don't give change. :)

Indeed convenient and worth the money!!!”
Exterior of building didnt impress me, but when I entered to the reception area, I had a great impression already. The young lady who served us was very friendly and allowed us to place our baggage at the counter as we came a little too early for check in (11am+). She even told us where to go for lunch (there is a really good vegetarian place just 5mins walk away), and told us where to visit around macau. The location is so convenient to many places (especially to ferry terminal and borders of macau-zhuhai), just by taking the FREE shuttle bus at Sofitel (5mins walk away)!! The information from the reception lady helped us to save so much money on transportation, and really grateful to have met her upon check in! Service is excellent, room is clean and decent! Very worth the money! Would have stayed longer if I had a choice!

Great place to stay!”
The room is very small, but definitely enough. Location is TOP and the place is also very clean! Walkable distance to all the places you should not miss when being in Macau. Also the price is really good in such expensive city.

More than I was expecting! Totally worth your money.”
The location was a bit hard to find at first but once I figured out, it was easy. I was told by the bus driver to get off at a farther bus stop so had a hard time looking for it. To those who will be staying here in the future, get off at Senado Square and it will take you only 3-5 minutes to reach the place, thru walking. Location is superb as it is just a walking distance from Senado Square and Ruins of St Paul. The staff were helpful and friendly too. Room exceeded my expectation, nice and comfy bed, TV and AC. There’s a kettle too. If I’d be coming back to Macau, I’d stay here again.

Great Location and Value for Macau”
Stayed 12 days. The quality of the room is pretty good, along with the facilities provided. Considering Macau hotel prices, I would consider this a great value stay if you're wanting better than a guest house but not wanting to pay exorbitant hotel prices. Location is great, close to many tourist sites and bus stops with multiple bus routes. Nice little restaurant/food stop down next to the hotel, which was the source of many delicious cheap meals. All meal names are in English and Chinese and the lady who owns it is very friendly. The only down side for me is the cleanliness in that we stayed for 12 days and not once did anyone knock to offer to come and clean our room. That meant we weren't getting stocked up regularly with toiletries and clean towels as well which was disappointing. Overall, it was a good stay.

Newly renovated & helpful staff & spacious space & good location”
The rooms were newly renovated. Everything looks new and clean. The space is considered big as compared to other hostel at Macau & HK. Staffs are helpful and friendly enough to show us the directions and allow us to leave our big luggages for more than half day. Around 15min walks to famous tourist spot. Will definitely recommend this.

Excellent”
We enjoyed our stay here because of its good location near the historical centre of Macau. The room was clean with modern facilities . The staff were friendly even though they couldn't speak English and we managed to communicate our needs. Drawbacks included the hotel being on the 2nd floor with no lift, so it would be difficult to access with heavy luggage and that the staff seemed to be busy at check in time and we had to wait a while to get their attention initially. Also, the hotel did not provide some basic facilities which we would have expected, for example a kettle was available but only paper cups provided for hot drinks. Also, although a towel was provided and some basic toiletries, there were no hand towels or a bath mat provided, so the tiled floor was slippery on stepping out of the shower. But for us the biggest issue was that the mattress on the bed although new was so hard it was difficult to sleep on. But despite this we enjoyed our stay.
