Klong Prao Beach hotels & places to stay

good value for money and seaview deluxe worth it. however a bit weared off rooms and beach equipment. rich breakfast (but it's common in thai). klong prao beach not a party place, so if you go for a nightlife consider white sand beach instead. wi-fi - 1 hour = 2$. hotel's beach restaurant not the best place for dinner - but still okey and not too overpriced. scooter/car rent just outside the hotel as well as nice cafe kokiri (delicious, good price, free wi-fi, but no view) and sovernir mart.

We stayed here for 9 nights, and would go again. The hotel is located close to the end of the Klong Prao beach. This part of the beach is really good if you have kids, but not great for swimming. You need to go far out before it gets deep. The pool is big and their breakfast is great. All of their staff are really smiling and polite. Only minus is that their food and drinks are rather pricey, so we went somewhere else for food and drinks most of the time or bought our own at the shops near the road and brought it back. Prices are pretty much double up compared to other places on the beach. A coffee is almost 120 Baht including tax and service charge. Go 20 meters along the beach and you can get as good a coffee for 60. However, we treated ourselves with the buffet one night which was really good

Amazing hotel with great service. They will make anything to ensure you have a pleasant stay. the hotel is located on the very south part of Klong Prao beach. its a rather quite place which makes it great for relaxing. The also have their own SPA. the hotel has is own private "beach" however its mostly grass and the sea comes. if you want standard sand beach you have to walk 50-100 meters. the beach has, at some parts, some pebbles and the occasionally stone in the water but we did'nt find that annoying. They have a 50 meter long pool, which is great for taking a few laps in. they also have smaller pool with several jaccuzi spots in it. The breakfast is great with lots of different things to chose from. There's american style, thai style, european and nordic style - in other words something for everyone. We had one dinner and one lunch at the hotel and we were pleased. the dinner was a barbeque under the stars special night with lots of meat and seefood on the grill. eating at the hotel is more expensive (as expected) than the local resturants on the beach, but still not near as expensive as in Sweden/Europe. For a nice cheap lunch/dinner try the Family resturant located on the beach 100-150 meters from the hotel. great curries and stirfries, approx 100Bath each. There are 2 bars, one in the lobby and one at the pool. there are lots of staff around to help you and if you don't want to walk to the bar there's always someone around to take your order. There's happy hour at the pool bar 4-5PM and special cockstails offer 5-7PM. the drinks at the pool are good but the bar at the lobby makes them with a little more love. the lobby bar have happy hour 10-11PM and they often have live music as well. the only downside at this 5 star resort is internet service. THey have great speed and connectivity at the lobby but in our room there waas more of a lottery getting stable connection. once having connection, speed was good enough but not great.

I am a very demanding customer and so when we booked thru agoda, i had hoped the extensive research I did was correct and it met my requirements very well. We went to celebrate my wife's birthday and they really made it special by baking her favorite chocolate cake and sending card and arranging for the right spa package and batik painting class. This resort has very beautiful gardens inside and greenery around and the room quality and service was prompt and adequate. the chef also made special dishes for us since we were vegetarian. the resort is not on beach but you can reach to the nearest klong prao beach by walking 150m behind the resort or going to dewa resort beach with their shuttle. I didn't like the dewa resort beach and had a car so we went to various beaches and I liked the klong prao resort beach the best. Lonely Beach and Bang bao beach are also great. Also, this resort is very close to klong plu waterfall that is interesting. We found the breakfast variety also good but their dining menu wasn't great or tasty except when chef made special dishes for us. They also have a good collection of movies n books in their library! At 1500 baht per night incl breakfast for hanuman room, we got 4 star hospitality. Oh yes the wifi wasn't working and that put us off. The only other con was that they gave us some free vouchers when we checked in as a surprise but didn't accept them at the time of final billing but hey now I am being nitpicky! Our experience turned out to be great and we thank the resort for that!

This is just what we were looking for. We originally booked 4 nights and ended up booking more. the resort is situated on Klong Prao beach which is within a large bay but it isn't as crowed as Lonely beach or white sand beach. The are many resorts on the beach, which means you have the option of eating elsewhere for dinner. There is so much room, the beach doesn't seem as crowed as the others and there are no loud parties. The resorts are not completely isolated as there are convenience stores/supermarkets on the main road, however, there aren't really any tourists shops nearby. You would have to catch a taxi for 100 Bart two way to white sand beach. We stayed in back garden view room for one night, beach front for three nights, and sea view for 2 nights. I would not reccommend a back garden view as the rooms are close to the main road and usually two rooms joined together so you have to share your balcony with others and it can get noisy. If you can afford it pay extra for the beach front, it is amazing to be that close to the beach.

We chose the Koh Chang Paradise Resort because it looked like a quiet,restful place about half-way down the island and we were very pleased with our choice. We were there out of season and practically had the beach to ourselves. The resort's pool was pleasant. The resort is right on the beach. The spacious and clean bungalows are set in a garden with a lot of trees and bushes, although only a few bungalows actually have views of the beach. Each bungalow has a veranda with a couple of armchairs (and mosquitos). For some reason or other, sunbathing on Klong Prao beach is not allowed. There are a few small businesses and places to eat along the road near the Paradise Resort, but this is not an area for those who like to browse in shops and markets. The staff was always very gracious and helpful. We ate only Thai food during our stay, and thought the open-air restaurant was very good both for breakfast and dinner. A couple of times, just for a change, we took a short taxi ride to eat at White Sand beach, which is a much livlier place.

I got an excellent deal here that included a very extensive buffet breakfast. The standard rooms offer excellent value for money. The only drawback is that they face over the main road and in my case directly over the flashing neon pharmacy sign. That was only a problem until 10pm, so nothing really to complain about. the room was spacious, clean and comfortable. For a little bit extra, better rooms are available in the heart of the resort and even on the beach front. I found the staff to be courteous, friendly and very efficient. The resort opens up right on the the head of Klong Prao beach, so it is an excellent position if the beach is your main destination. Off the road is Coconut Plaza, which has a couple of very good massage shops and restaurants. It is an excellent proposition for anyone who wants to be close to the beach and amenities, but who doesn't want to break the bank.

We stayed here during low season so it wasn´t so crowdy. The pool was clean, the prices of drinks and food in the resturant was very low. Not over charged like it can be in some hotels.The thai massage had the same prices like on the street, so no need to go away to find some cheaper. The rooms were pretty good too. If I would go back to Koh Chang and stay at Klong Prao Beach I could for sure consider to stay at Chai Chet again. It´s really good value for money. The breakfast was a little bit booring though.

This was our second time in Barali,the location is perfect,Klong Prao beach is in great place, just few minutes from restaurants and shops. Staff were polite and friendly, breakfast buffet generous, plenty of warm foods,noodels,omelets etc. Our deluxe villa was clean and spacious and we had a partial sea view (villas 119&121). We hired motorbikes from reception, only 200thb/day, recommed. All in all very relaxing holiday and would choose Barali again if going to Koh Chang for holiday.

The staff were all fantastic, helpful, informative and have a good sense of humour. Housekeeping kept all rooms clean and gardens beautiful. This is an idea place to stay for couples and adult groups as it has a peaceful feel away from a larger resort. It is part of a larger resort which too is fantastic and caters more for families. The restaurant is does great food and breakfast is held on site at the larger resort which is a 3-5 minute walk away. This is an amazing walk across well signed bridges and through gardens. Both complexes offer different dynamics so it's a plus to be at the bhu-tarn and use other facilities. Would come back again and recommend this place as because it's situated nicely between chi Chet and klong prao allowing easy travels to white sands and Kai bae. There are lots of things to see and do along chi Chet and klong prao beaches. Fantastic!

Is a resort near Klong Prao beach. There is a swimming pool, fitness, delicious food. And many other facilities. The location and the design of the resort in Thai style make foreign tourists very much like Don't say that it's foreign. We are Thai people and like it very much. Very passionate about being Thai 🇹🇭 Experience the peaceful atmosphere Beautiful and very private I really like it. Say it.

We stayed at the hotel over the New Year. Pros: 1) Awesome location just in the middle of Klong Prao beach, next to a very good Flora-i-Talay restaurant, 2) Room have all the necessities: hot/cold water, air conditioner, stallite TV, mini fridge, wardrobe with hangers) haird-dryer etc., 3) rooms are being cleaned every day, shampoos replaced every day etc., 4) IMPORTANT: surprisingly this hotel offers beach towels. Cons: 1) VERY old hotel. No cleaning can help here, absolutely no - only full renovation. This place made me feel like I'm thrown back in time 2 times further than the year i was born, everything looks like in US in 1950s! You can feel the smell of 'old ladies' in the room, if you know what I mean. 2) Beach of this hotel is not wide enough and doesn't offer enough sunbeds and umbrellas for all of the clients, so we had to go to territory of other hotels. 3) As mentioned several times before - too many Russians. They rush to the beach early in the morning to 'book' all of the sunbeds with beach towels. We also saw one men stealing water from room-maids cart. Water costs 10 THB.... Anyways, I think that it's still decent value for money because of this awesome location, nevertheless, we saw one more hotel on the same beach for the same price but the amenities looked better. I would not come back there again, but I think it's a proper place to stay if you need to save money. Thanks anyways ))))

The hotel is near khlong prao beach. Good location if you consider to stay in between White sand beach and bang bao beach. Hotel staffs are good, but I faced a problem while staying in the hotel at night. Suddenly the electricity was gone in the room at the deep night and in the morning I complained the authority and they changed my room. I also made a request through agoda to them but they did not get the message. They told me why I didn't send them direct email. It was little bit of problematic for me. Overall the hotel is clean, staffs are helpful.

One of the best hostels I've ever stayed! I was travelling alone and after staying for 2 days in hotel on white sand beach I've decided to move to pajamas hostel,so it was right decision! Amazing friendly staff, good location,5 minutes from the beach,some good restaurant nearby and 7/11 not far. Pajamas has really nice rooms with comfortable beds and curtains for privacy,clean swimming pool, perfect relax area downstairs,where you can watch DVD,use PlayStation,read books or magazines and enjoy playing billiard. Breakfast was served at the neighbour restaurant and you can also always order food from there. As I know, pajamas also have usual double rooms on their territory. It's a really good choice and value for money!

I stayed 2 nights in this hotel... the room were ok, but a not so clean... I dont mind about bugs, but there were a lots of mosquitos... the bed was ok and clean... the hotel location is ok, but not near the beach, but the swimming pool is really nice and clean. The staff was fine and smiling, they did a great job with my laundry. I was surprised by the size of the room, the fridge was just filled with water. The room was not so clear and clean, but still ok. The TV was working well, but not the remote control. My room was in the back of the garden, near the small river... really a nice spot, but a lot of mosquitos. The outside fan was not working, but the light was, the table was appreciated also to stay a little bit outside for dinner or whatever.

It takes 15 minutes to the nearest Chai Chet beach.Acturally it is not on Klong Prao Beach but Chai Chet Beach.It is near V.J.Plaza which is well-known for the locals. Rooms are large for 2 people,with refrigerator and water heater.But there are mosquitos in the room after raining.Room service is terrible. There could be nobody at reception when any help is needed.Even when I checked-out,I could only get some help from the laundry.

Fabulous little hotel owned and run by a lovely young couple. The room we had was perfect, had efficient air conditioning, good Wi Fi and a nice additional lounge and two televisions. Location coukd not have been better - very near Klong Prao beach. All very clean and well maintained. You can even order a cooked breakfast in the morning. Would definitely stay here again.

Pros: fair price, very clean room, pool, 5 minutes to main road for food and services, 10 minutes walk through vacant green space to Klong Prao Beach. Can do long walks on this beach. Lots of green space around, very quiet, large room with wardrobe, desk, tv, Table and chairs, clothes rack for drying towels, beach towels, mini fridge, a/c, daily service if needed, balcony. Daily water. Cons: some repairs needed . Our bathroom door latched inside because the latch is coming off; some linens need to be replaced... they can no longer be washed clean; pool needs a cleaning around the edge. Staff at front desk could engage more with guests.

For what we paid, this place was amazing. It's far enough away from the party beach that you don't hear the thumping music til all hours of the night but also in a great location with easy access to the island taxis to take you down to lonely beach to party. It has its own beach that is really nice...the beach at the resort next door was much rockier than this beach. The restaurant offered some great food choices and the view was phenomenal. The cleanliness of the place was on par for what we expected...not a 4 star resort but not bugs everywhere either. There were a lot of small ants but nothing too terrible. The staff was super helpful too. When we asked for recommendations they were happy to offer suggestions. Plus they remembered us each day of our stay and would ask where we ended up going. I would highly recommend this place to any budget traveler looking for a nice place to stay that's right on the beach.

the staff at blue resort were fantastic, extremely helpful, and had lots of information on booking activities on the island. it is located where chai chet ends and klong prao begins. it is a quiet area, and a good place to get the most of your day and enjoy a good night's sleep. the bungalows are large with beautiful front windows that slide open and comfortable beds. we were two couples traveling together, doing lots of activities during the day, hiking and biking during the day on the east coast of the island, eating in klong prao, and drinking at kai bae or lonely beach at night. during high season, the taxis were everywhere, so we had no problems at all getting from one place to another.

It is one of the most beautiful resorts for people who like nature. My bungalow is ideally located, just 15 feets from the sea, nothing in between. Not all huts are equal. Some hut is well built, but to close to the restaurant (noise). Some hut has a nice ground floor, is calmer but has no window. Some hut stays on the front line, has no window, but here it doesn't matter, and is the most distant from the restaurant. It is a beautiful spot, the most beautiful I've ever been in Thailand and I come here since 26 years! The only disturbance is that many nights, to many for my gusto, it is noisy along all the beach at night time cause there is very often a resort or another having music that loud that you hear it whereever you are, though it is calmer than White Sand Beach. I booked only 3 nights in advance and made my mind up to spend my whole stay, that means 51 nights, here. It is at the same time the most convenient resort along this beauch (Klong Prao Beach). There is a resort called "The Hut" between the beach and the road where the surroundings aren't by far that nice, but the standard is much higher and the price is even lower if you stay one month. There are other cheap(er) resorts across the road but far from the beach, as well at the very end of the beach when you almost left it and still across the road. So this resort is ideally located and has a very good relation price/quality.
