Lonely Beach hotels & places to stay

Great value for money! Great location and really nice, clean, minimalist and modern bungalows! The location is fabulous right next to the beach were you can enjoy one of the best or maybe the best sunset in the island! Great food with a fair price and very nice and helpfull staff. Really nice environment and good acess to lonely beach (exact 10 min. Walk). Some bungalows are still in construction and the only con is just the loud music in the restaurant at night. Something that happened during 3 nights till about 1 am during our stay. Aside from that was perfect. Definitely recommend it if you want a relxed, quiet but not boring stay in a place with a good vibe and marvelous view!

Pricy but two steps to the beach . U c the beach on the desk , outside ya bungalow . I guess that makes it pricy . They don’t have sun beds for plp on the Hotel beach . Which I expected with prices like this . However , the room is spacious , bed cld be nicer . But pillows is comfy ! By best of this trip . Staff are smiling n nice . Breaky Buffet isn’t amazing with such price . I would come back though It’s on lonely beach but far from Siam Hut , so it’s not next to noise .

The Nest Sense is located on the very end of Lonely Beach, if you're coming from the main ferry. One has to go down a small driveway to reach the boutique resort which is situated on a rocky beach next to a jungle forest. The reception and the restaurant have an open atmosphere and a very modern, light toned design. Right after the restaurant comes the infinity pool which is very refreshing, especially since the temperatures are pretty high right now. The pool overlooks the beachfront villas and the rocky beach. We stayed 8 days in Villa 1 and it was wonderful. The room is very spacious and well taken care of. The interiors are kept in a light tone and the wall towards the beach is completely glazed with windows. Most of them can be opened to let the sea breeze in. The shower and the toilet are separated by a wall so both can be used at the same time. The only thing that could be improved is the shower cabin. The paint comes off from the ceiling. But that's just a small detail. There is an additional couch/bed in the room which can be used for a third person or a child if needed. They offer great amenities such as a minibar, TV, a good working AC, an additional fan on the ceiling, a big desk, slippers, bathrobes, a hairdryer and a small bag to keep a phone dry when going to the beach. Although they don't have a real beach, it's no problem to walk a few minutes to Lonely Beach and enjoy the sand there. On the positive side, it keeps the beachfront a lot quieter. We booked our room with breakfast and didn't regret it. They offer a small but delicious choice of à la carte meals. We tried several of the dishes and were never disappointed. I especially want to mention Captain Nat and her breakfast team (June, Ren and all the others). They are all doing an awesome job and made a real difference with their attitude, friendliness and attentiveness. Thanks a lot for your great work. we were two young backpackers from denmark, who urgently needed a place to stay in lonely beach, and therefore just booked the only available place. when we arrived we were so surprised: this was a really nice resort. it's so cosy and relaxed, with the beautiful sea-view restaurant and the hammocks, the nice swimmingpool, etc. the only minus is that there was no safety deposit box in the room. however, the staff kept my stuff safe all the time in the reception, so i was fine. the hotel is mostly for couples, small families, etc. and therefore not an ideal place if you want backpacker-vibe. it is, though, a 3 minutes walk to the lonely beach village, which is a nice place to party, eat, hang out and so. if you want to go to the beach, it is a 7-8 minute walk along the road. in short, this hotel has a perfect location. we would recommend going here!

The owners Adam and Jaan are great. They are willing to help you all the time. Adam is also professional dance teacher, so I got a private salsa and kizomba lesson during my stay(!). And staff member Sun gave me a cooking class. Both classes were great! They are flexible and friendly. Even though the place is a bit under construction, there is no loud noices. Nearby bar plays music at some nights, but that’s just normal at Lonely Beach. Definitely would come here another time.

Exotic bungalows are without a doubt the best place we stayed in during our travels. It is not the most posh place we have been in but everything about it made our stay perfect. The place was extremely cheap for the value it offers. The rooms are large, spotless clean, bed is huge and comfortable, aircon fantastic. The bathroom is cute with a shell like basin, shower divided by a half wall unlike in most places in Asia, efficient extractions did that it dries quickly. The place is set in a jungle like surroundings providing a beautiful views. The place itself is maintained, neat and had a new pool. It is a walking distance to restaurants, beach, shops and bars. It is quite at night so you can get a good nights sleep unlike in many other places in Lonely beach. Staff were amazing and helped us with anything we ever needed. We even got talking with the owner and he gave us fantastic tips on what to do and how to make most of our time in Koh Chang. We absolutely loved Exotic bungalows and cant wait to be back :)

The Ploy Inn is right in the heart of Lonely beach - just a few mins walk from the restaurants, bars and cafes and about 10 mins walk down to the beach. Our room was a standard room and was great - a large bed, air con, wifi in the room, hot shower etc. The staff were lovely and so helpful. Some rooms I think don't have windows so you may want to check this when you book. The main thing was the noise - not something the hotel can do anything about but the noise and music from the bars was loud till about 3 every night. After a few nights we stopped hearing it though and could sleep through it. However every single night some guests returning from the bars around 3 or 4 were super noisy and because the walls are so thin they kept everyone awake. So def bring earplugs and don't expect to get the best sleep. But would def recommend this place and if/when we go back to Lonely Beach we will probably stay here.

I came here with my boyfriend on holiday, and although we are not really in the "backpacker" scene anymore, we wanted to see all parts of Koh Chang. We booked a very cheap room at blue sky, and it was a bit too "budget" for my tastes. The host offered us an uprage for 100 baht a night. That was the best 100 baht ive ever spent! We had our own detatched bungalow literally two meters from the ocean. These bungalows came with a hammock, two very nice lounge chairs, and a swing nearby. It truely felt like our own private beach. The room is not luxurious but the low price allowed us to extend our stay which as far more important. We stayed three other places on Koh Chang and nowhere else had the serenity or privacy of having that ocean access. The staff were very sweet and helful, beer, water, coffee sold on site, and all the attractions of lonely beach are a 5 minute walk but far enough away that when you come back to your bungalow you have only peace and quiet. Cancun Beach hostel is strictly for party people only. You will have party people and loud music blazing all night right in front of your bedroom and drunk people coming in and out all the time. If you are ok with going to bed after 5 am that's a place you might consider. But bear in mind that this hostel isn't on the beach, unless you are willing to call stones, rubble and trash of all kinds a beach. The beach proper (and a very nice one) is not far away, though - just about 2 minutes walk. The staff are friendly, except one guy at the reception desk. Both the webpage and a notice on the dorm room says check in time is 11 am. So, as at 11.05 there still wasn't a anybody at the reception, I called their number and was basicaly told to stop bothering them as they were all sleeping and I could check in after 12. And he told me he that he didn't care what Agoda page says and he hung up. There are much nicer places for a lower price nearby.

Paradise Cottages strikes a perfect balance between value and quality. The rooms are cheap so they're basic but an effort has obviously been made to make them comfortable and they end up being pretty cool. The communal areas are also really well done with places to sit, read and drink even in the monsoon! The location at the end of the main strip of lonely beach was perfect as its away from the noise of the bars but only a few minutes walk away. Take a torch if you're coming back late as the path isn't completely lit. The staff were helpful and attentive. The food in the bar isn't the cheapest in Lonely Beach but I wasn't expecting it to be! All in all a great choice'

was staying on koh chang for one night to conduct some business. we wanted to stay in lonely beach for a different atmosphere then white sands. the woman running the place is extremely friendly and helpful. our room was nice and clean. fresh white sheets and cold a/c. we were very happy with our choice to stay here. only con i can think of was that the double bed was two beds pushed together. they were still very comfortable, though.
