Mid Beach hotels & places to stay

If you are looking for a no frills hotel right on the beach this hotel can't be beat. Rooms are in quality condition, bathrooms way out of date but functional. While they can stand to make an update and had a major leak in the basement shop during my stay it really was a good hotel overall. There was only one restaurant open during our stay, but there is a small cafe open until 5 or 6, and then a vending area that wasn't consistently open when it was supposed to be, which was after the cafe closed. The little shop they had was great. Clothes, snacks, shoes, toiletries. Everything at your finger tips for without having to leave the hotel. Pool was awesome to hang out at and they give you towels you can take down to the beach. Resort fee doesn't include the chairs and umbrellas at the beach like the Grand Beach next door does so that was a little disappointing. At half the price of the Grand Beach and close to my friends who stayed next door it was worth it and I'd stay again.

When booking this hotel I only looked at its facilities and decor, both exceeded my expectations, and failed to check everything else. Place is made of 4 towers, joined by air conditioning tunnels. There are 12 restaurants to choose from so I am sure everyone will find something they like. Do prepare yourself with extra $$$ because price tags are high and each time you order something you will have tax and 18% service charge automatically added to your bill. So if you and your spouse end up going for american buffet breakfast which is 34$ pp your bill will come up to almost 90$. Also if you decide to lounge on the beach, like us, prepare yourself for additional charges for umbrella $25+tax a day. I am unsure whether these charges apply to seats by pools. Oh they also offer double beds with cover for $125+tax. If you ended up ordering anything on the beach prepare to wait around 30-40mins for your order to arrive. Guess it would be easier and quicker to just go to the bar yourself.

My service was great from all the employees at the front desk . The room is really nice and it’s close to the beach . I love the complimentary happy hour they have daily. The only thing is the walls need to be thicker, you can hear everyone in their rooms as you pass by . The parking is a hassle . Which I’m aware the hotel was fully booked b/c of the holiday wknd so I was not able to get a parking spot between the blue lines. My 2nd night stay my rental car got towed. Which cost me 300. The hotel needs valet . Overall I enjoyed the hotel room and the amenities .

From the very beginning we arrived at The Confidante Hotel we felt very welcome and 'at home'. Marc Anthony gave us very good tips for our 2 weeks stay in Miami. From nice restaurants to great things to do. His natural way of communicating and hospitality to us and others is something that every hotel (manager) can be proud. Thanks to him we've discovered great places in Miami and had a wonderful stay for 2 weeks. As a surprise, he arranged campagne with strawberries and macaroons. It was just incredible.... The hotel is super clean, very nicely decorated and located nearby a supermarket, busstop, shops.. and THE BEACH! ;-) The food at Bird & Bone is tasteful. Compliments for the waiters and the chef(s). I was looking for a hotel located at Miami beach that provides beach chairs, umbrellas, towels (many hotels only have beach access but does not provide those). And I found Grand Beach Hotel. It offers what I wanted at a reasonable price. The lobby of the hotel looks newly furnished but one can tell from the rooms that the hotel has some age, but that's OK. Two great things about the hotel other than its beach facilities: (1) Its two pools at the ground level are heated during our December visit!! This is really great. Miami could be a bit cold in December but with heated pool, it feels like swimming in bath water. So comfortable. (2) It has two bathrooms in our one-King bed room. This is quite convenient when we came back from the beach and both wanted to take a shower at the same time. Overall I'd recommend this hotel. It's a good value for the money I paid

Location was great. Right on the beach. Easy access to everything. Walked the boardwalk everyday. Pool was a little small but was fine to lounge around. Teenagers had fun playing the oversized games such as chess and connect four and corn hole. Played pool at night on the second floor. Easy access to the citi bikes and to the trolley that went up and down the beach. Would stay there again.

We travelled in the school spring break which makes the area very busy. The Circa 39 Hotel is about a 30 minute walk or 10 minute free trolley ride to Lincoln St. If you don’t like crowds and don’t mind excessive noise till the early hours of the morning the hotel is perfect. We were so happy we could visit the sights of the South Beach area but stay in a hotel that we could get a good night sleep. The rooms are big and clean, there is a courtyard for guests to use as well as a good pool area. We didn’t use the restaurant so I can’t comment except to say the meals and prices looked ok. We actual used the cafe deli next door which is very busy for breakfast and snacks and the hotel is only 40 meters to the beach which supplies day lounges for hotel guests. There was small problem for the other couple we booked for but The Manager Bryant was very helpful as was all the staff. I would be rebooking this hotel if we returned to Miami.

We stayed in the Premium King Suite. The room was spacious, clean and the hotel itself in a great location. It had all the equipment in the kitchen including a dishwasher, fridge, microwave and toaster plus all utensils. Two TVs, and large bathroom. Only paid $112 for the night which was good considering it was by the beach. Only criticism was decor could have been slightly better, for example the doors looked bare. Otherwise would stay again.

This hotel was surprisingly good for the price. We were pleasantly surprised to have a kitchen and 2 separate beds. The rooms were not fancy, but quaint and cozy. They worked well to lounge in. The hotel had access to the pool and beach which were the two main things we went to Miami Beach for, however, anything else is quite a ways away. The hotel is located on a stretch of beach where there is really no restaurants, stores, or even convenience stores for at least a mile. Bike rental is expensive, so if you are looking for access to food and amenities, consider booking somewhere else. The beach is very nice, swimablw, and the pool was large and open with chairs as well. Overall a good experience!

Contemporary and convenient. From the pool area to the restaurant to the lobby bar to the front desk to valet: everyone provided service with a smile with sincerity. The four of us had a terrific experience. It is also and a great stretch of the beach that is away from all of the hustle and bustle of South Beach, but an easy 8 to 10 minute ride to that area when you need to go. Looking forward to my next stay at Nobu.

We liked the hotel. There was parking ($ 15 / night), the room was spacious and well cleaned every day. The pool with beach chairs was also clean. The location near the beach was great. In less than 5 minutes you are from the hotel right on the beach. Also, near the hotel, the free Miami Trolley Bus goes to south beach and further north. Unfortunately there was no breakfast offer - not even for a surcharge. Unfortunately, the WiFi in our room was a bit weak. Otherwise, all in all, a good hotel.

I've decided to review this hotel in 3 categories: The room itself, the sleep, and the location. The room itself: The room we booked was a 2 bedroom apartment with a kitchen and balcony. It was really lovely to have as each bedroom had its own bathroom. The beds were double beds, far too small for a couple to sleep in. The kitchen has plenty of utensils, a fridge, stove, and dishwasher. The dishwasher was a little impractical when you only have 3 adults and a baby using the facilities. Only one bottle of water was provided for our 2 day stay. The sleep: We had a terrible sleep as there is very little soundproofing and next door to us was a crying baby which kept interrupting my sleep through the night. The double bed we slept in was far too small for 2 adults and we either felt we were rolling into each other or rolling off the bed. The 2nd night there was this very loud party going on just above us and didn't stop until just before midnight. Location: Excellent place to stay.

All in all the Hotel is really nice. The rooms were always clean and they had a big kitchen. The staff was always very helpful. The store within the Hotel was a nice surprise. The beach is really near. And really nice. Unfortunately there was construction work during our stay which was very loud. Our room was besides the elevator and heard it every time when someone entered/ left it. Which was relly unpleasant. Most of the rooms had a bed and couch. Our room only had a bed. But this was ok as we were not much at the room. Furthermore there is no parking lot at the hotel and you have to walk 10 min. to the next garage. And also what should be considered and what was not noted during reservation was the almost 150$ extra charge regarding fees / taxes etc. which really surprised me. But it seems that more hotels started introducing these fees.

After I thought I paid for the hotel for approximately $80 a night , agoda got me with some booking fees. After I arrived at the hotel the hotel hit me with an $18 a night resort fee and also a $30 a day valet parking fee . This was not mentioned on the hotel description or on agodas site. Fees cost me more then what the hotel cost. ———I liked the hotel , it was clean and located for enough from the busy tourist areas I was a 2 block walk to the beach were you could get beach chairs and towels from a partner hotel. The beach area was not packed so that was good.
