Fantastic Location Beautiful Room”
My brother and I spent 2021 Thanksgiving at the Mirage Inn and Suites. Deluxe queen beds. There was a full size refrigerator, two top stove, and microwave. Plenty of kitchen cabinets. I will be a couple pots and pans next time since I didn't realize they aren't included. The flat screen TV was at least 50" . Sheets and bedding was clean as was the towels. There is plenty of walking around space in the room. Front desk woman was very kind and sweet. It's within walking distance to the beach which was amazing for strolling. Next door to the hotel is a cafe and pizza place. We brought our own food so maybe next time we might try them out. There were two windows one had a partial ocean view the other was a wall which was fine it gave privacy while sitting at the desk. The room also included a easy chair and a small sofa. Only one draw back and that was no elevator, I had spine injuries which are painful so carrying my luggage up the stairs was painful. But once the bags were in the room all else was great. Nice and quiet no road noise nor loud guests. Very close to downtown SF and the Golden Gate Bridge. Zero smoking property which is fantastic, nothing worse than stail smoke smells. I highly recommend this hotel whether a night or a few weeks.

Affordable, clean, modern rooms”
I have been hotel hopping since my husband has been in the hospital at UCSF. Every other hotel stayed in was dirty and parking was a nightmare. I am so comfortable here at the Mirage and the rooms are modern and clean and it is afordable.

Rooms are modern and clean. located in a beautiful area, mostly quiet neighborhood. ample parking. There are good Deli/liquor store and great pizza place next door. Manager could use a smile on his face.

I would stay again”
located out of the bustle of the city which i wanted and only 4 blocks from the ocean which is nice. so many parts of SF where hotels are located are looking run down and the homeless population is terrible (for them and a visitor) The rooms are very clean and modern if not a little austere. Bathrooms are quite fancy. Beds comfy. Hall ways and stairs are a bit shabby but i frequently find that in moderate priced hotels.

Rude unfriendly Front desk Lady”
This was my go to place while my husband was in the hospital, but the lady (possibly the owner) was always rude and acted put out. The last stay was the topping on the cake and why I won't go back - The front desk lady could clearly see I was trips to load my car and it was 11:01 and she called my room to tell me I needed to leave it was past check out time which was 11:00. I was on my way out but had to go back to answer the phone. She is a mean lady!

Nice location near the beach. Room had some nice upgrades and a comfortable bed. A good place to stay for a couple of nights w/out breaking the bank. My only complaint would be about the front desk lady, who after previously reading some guest reviews, I wasn't surprised by her customer service skills or lack of thereof. As long as your interaction with her remains limited to a check in/out transaction without asking questions and/or requests, you may have a reasonably pleasant stay...

Very basic accommodations. Room and fixtures clean, windows need a good scrub. No breakfast as promised on website, not even packaged cereal or muffins. Free parking. In a residential area so don’t expect a SF experience. Targeted audience. Right in front of SF Zoo entrance. Only 2 possible take out BF/Lunch. Check in clerk will check you in and that’s about it.

Bare-bones, but inexpensive”
If you are looking for cheap but clean this is for you. If you want friendly, helpful management, Wifii that works in your room, maybe a luggage trolley of all things, pay more and stay elsewhere. I was very disappointed: I even had to take my phone out next to the entrance to make calls.

Last night, my husband and I booked the hotel online and arrived at hotel around 11pm. When my husband went to the office to check in and show our confirmation from my phone to the front desk agent. The front desk lady said our reservation wasn't on her system and got confrontational. My husband said we just booked it. It might take a minute, could you reload your booking system? The lady kept saying the confirmation wasn't on her system and got angrier. After yelling a bit she looked again. Guess what? It's there. Later, we went to get a soda. Put a dollar in and nothing came out. Noticed the very suspicious sign. All the lights were on and nothing appeared wrong. No money returned. Next day told front office. Man clearly knew it was doing that. Refused to put his own dollar in to prove return worked. Refused to return dollar. Refused to unplug the machine or put an out of order sign on it. It became clear that the hotel was intentionally stealing their customers money!

Life Saver”
My family and I were only going to stay a few nights and explore San Francisco. The hotel we originally got was horrible, and we didn't feel safe. We have a one year old and it just wasn't great. So we canceled. & began to stress over where we were going to stay the next few nights. Thankfully I found this place, not expensive and they were able to check us in same day and everything. SUCH AN UPGRADE from where we were before. You could even tell my son felt safe he was actually wondering around and playing with the workers who were great with him. We would definitely stay again. There is parking right below, so you didn't have to stress to much about your car. Cameras everywhere. & right across from the zoo, you can literally walk there.

Exceptional”
I had to stay in S F while my husband had surgery. I wanted a place with off street parking, that was easy to get to UCSF and was affordable. The Mirage Inn was perfect. The room was large, clean, quiet and in an easy to travel location. The staff was friendly and helpful. It could use updating and the wait for hot water took a few minutes, but otherwise it was perfect for me, and the price was great.
