"this is the first hotel to be built in brasilia. it was designed by brazilian architect oscar niemeyer, who also designed most of the monuments of brasilia. it has just been recently renovated. the location is a bit out of the way -- you will need to take a taxi (which is easily available) or drive to get to the city centre -- but it is very quite and next to a beautiful lake. each room has a balcony that opens to the expansive ground outside. the rates are pretty reasonable; in fact i would say it is low for a hotel of a comparable standard. if you enjoy modern architecture and a serene environment, you will enjoy this hotel. "The hotel is worn down and needs to be renovated. The outdoor area needs a face lift and in the room several things were falling apart (e.g. the tap to the sink was loose, the handle to the shower fell off, etc). The price is a little lower but not low enough for the poor standard or location outside the centre. I chose the hotel because other hotels were fully booked."
