Location is great but the hotel is very old fashion. Air conditioner is too noisy. Isolation is very bad. All the noise of the town in your room.

Better never take a room without seaview...it will be noisy, looking at a wall....Breakfast was terrible. Considering the quite high price I would say the value for money was very low...

Great service and excellent location”
Beautiful views from the good sized rooms, excellent breakfast, super service with a smile and within walking distance to many nice restaurants, shops and of course the copacabana beach right across the street. We were six couples came from a cruise and stayed extra four days after the cruise and really enjoyed staying at the Olinda Rio..

we really liked everything about the olinda rio, the only suggestion we have is to add leather sofas in the lobby with large mirrors on the walls to finish the lobby bar & restaurant off in style .... if management wants to fill the place up play music and offer a happy hour like other hotels on copacabana are doing

If you are interested in finding a taxi driver, the doorman can help you. If you speak Portuguese, you can on your own find an all day driver for a cheaper price, but if you speak only another language and can't barter with a taxi driver for a better price, the price arranged through the hotel is better than what would otherwise be offered.

The service at hotel was good, all stuff speaks english. The rooms which are to the upper floors and has windows to the inner yard were wery nosy / some mechanism working all day long on the roof/. Breakfast was avarage quality, nothind specially but not bad

Everything was nice, my 2 complaints were: A/C had no thermostat, only on/off switch so it was too warm or too cold, no middle ground. Guest policy, their 1 guest per length of stay will keep me from staying here again.
