Bahia hotels & accommodations

The Comfortable bed & other homestyle amenities suited my independent lifestyle to a T. I only regret that the mold stained tile & ill placed toilet in the bathroom destroyed my eco-friendly sensibilities. I recommend that they be addressed by management! Otherwise, a great stay!

The hotel is located beside the escalator. It is a old building. The hotel has a good view to the ocean. It also close to lots sightseeing. The room is clean and quiet. The internet is slow and they never fix........I talked to the staffs 3 times in different days. They just kept saying will fix tomorrow. Until the day i left, the internet still not working. This was a really good hotel for business travel. It's located in easy walking distance between the beach and conference centre. The hotel itself was comfortable, clean and offered free wifi. The staff were friendly and clearly helpful, but their ability to help relied on our mutual effort in communication, as they only spoke Portuguese. We got by, however. It is quite...

We stayed only 2 nights, but it was really good. The hotel have a lot of locals from Salvador that come for the weekend. A lot of kids too. I also have one so for me was fine, but maybe for some people that are looking for a quite place it wouldn't be ok, specially at the pool. But for couples with kids is great! They have cribs for the rooms, baby bath tub, a special...

I had a good experience at Porto Calem Praia Hotel. The only issue we had were the high amount of mosquitos in our room at night. However, the staff sprayed the room and was able to resolve it without any delay and hassle. For the nightly rate, good commodities, great location (close to airport and beach front), and the inclusion of complete breakfast; I recommend this...

the location of this hotel is wonderful, its right beside where the pier where the boat docks so you don't need to pay for a porter for your bags (you should if you stay anywhere else because the hill from the docks is very steep!). however being near the pier isn't a problem it doesn't intrude as its not very busy or noisy and can be pleasant to people watch. there ...

AM Eco Lodge was fantastic. It's a great place to just unwind and enjoy the secluded beach. Over a mile of beach with very little people. Staff was extremely friendly and can tell they have had hospitality training. Bonus was that dinner was included as well as full breakfast.

This hotel is a real family hotel with the beach at the opposite of the street. Close to the Hotel you will find various places to eat or just to take a drink. Please watch your belongings!! I was sitting on a terrace one day and took out my sneakers under the table (it was hot). While talking a boy took one of my sneakers away and when I found out that I had only one ...

This hotel is in an excellent location. The rooms are lovely and big...depending in whether you prefer the view over the main square (bit noisier) or a street view (quieter), you may need to book your preference in advance. We had a two year old, but had the main square view and she seemed to sleep through...we had the Nana room, which had a small corridor that was qui...

Location is excellent, very close to the Pelhourino. You do have to negotiate a local road to reach there that is not the most pleasant, but we had no difficulties even after dark and there were always tourist police at the Pelourinho end - just follow advice and don't carry obvious jewelry etc. Room a little small but functional with reliable hot water and supercharged...

Accommodation had a colonial feel to it and was very clean. Our host was very welcoming and although she did not speak English we could manage in our basic French which is much better than our Portuguese! We had a room with an en-suite and a fridge, it was very pleasant although the bed was a bit too hard for our comfort. Breakfast was excellent fresh bread, eggs, f...

Nice and kind hotel service...... and good atmosphere! I can use "Internet Cafe(1F)" from 10:30p.m. to 9:00a.m. without fee and it is very useful to work. Especially I satisfied the price using mini bar because it is the cheapest that I have stayed other hotels(Sonesta, Golden Tulip, Vila Bahia, Calhua) in brazil.

hotel bahia de sol is highly recommended for those wanting a quiet stay in salvador but also near the prominent beaches. it is located in vitoria, a posh district in salvador, 10-15 minutes walk to porto de barra and farol de barra beaches which are one of many attractions in salvador. vitoria also hosts many museums and galeries, which is perfect for those who love to...
Cheap places to stay in Bahia

Its in a great area with easy access to the BARS AND CLUBBING AREA. The Hostel and its staff are exceptional. It provides everything that you need in accommodation. We stayed in a suite room that was immaculately clean, bedding and towels changed every other day. The sea view from the balcony (room 33) was fantastic. Breakfast was totally adequate, continental and sc...

The hostel is located in a great location, in the heart of all the action. I arrived and the staff greeted me and immediately made me feel like home. The rooms are small, but you only sleep in it, right?! The breakfast was enough to keep you full for awhile. The staff that I met were always very helpful and very cheerful for that matter. It was nice getting to kno...

The location to the beaches is fine (walking distance) and alos for business reason good and fats access to CIA. Parking garage and WIFI included in the price. Stayed for one night in Praia do Forte Hostel. The hostel was really clean and well kept. Enjoyed the pleasant atmosphere there, with hammocks to relax, clean kitchen to cook, and good breakfast. Even though the hostel is not located next to the beach, the location was good. It took like 5 or 10 min to get to the beach.

If you need something for one night close to the airport this will be OK and has a decent connection for bus travelers. The bed is OK and the air-conditioning is working yet noisy. We were in Caetite for 3 days for birdwatching, and stayed at Porto do Sol. It is very clean and comfortable, and the staff were very helpful. They have a laundry service, and breakfast starts at 6.30am which is earlier than many hotels and good for birdwatchers.

We scored down because of the whole breakfast experience ... Hospitality you expect a smile in the morning ? If not a good morning / greeting in any language ! ... Everything seemed too much trouble for the lady at breakfast ? No bowls or milk for cereals .... An effort to refill coffee pot ... Maybe a TV or music for some background in a room with now Windows and echo...

Lovely stay at Aconchego. Short walk from the bustling street but in a quiet enough area for a good night sleep. The breakfast is very good with the essential eggs, something hot, bread, lots of fruits. Friendly staff as well. Rooms are slightly on the small size but sufficient. Good to have the option of AC and a ceiling fan.

Excellent, Staff provided verry good Information about things to do in and around Itacare including tips for trails to prestine beaches that otherwise would be hard to find. The appartement was brand new and absolutely great! As if you weer sleepdienst in the jungle ...

The room was looked a bit different than the photo, but was comfortable enough for sleeping. The staff was nice and helpful. The breakfast had a good variety of food, but was half empty both days I arrived, not to mention all the tables were filled with dirty dishes. I think they just need more help during the busier times to keep up with demand.

After checking in I notified reception that my room safe wasn´t working. After SIX reminders and having waited EIGHT hours they finally fixed the Problem. On the second day the A.C. broke down. It wasn´t repaiared, nor was I offered another room. Staff at reception totally ignorant and fully incompetent. Won´t be staying there again, ever.

this is a couples hotel as remote as you can get on Morro do Sao Paulo Island. The ride from the ferry dock is 20-30 minutes on a bumpy sandy road. The beach is not for swimming as it is flat for several hundred yards and only one-two feet deep during high tide. We had a bungalow with the bed upstairs, best for a young couple, I would prefer a bungalow with the bed ...

The hotel was clean and comfortable, and well located. However it's food and drink facilities could be improved. We were told they did lunch and dinner, with lunch from 2pm. When we ordered at 2pm (the only people there) it took an hour to get a burger. The beers are seriously overpriced, R12 each when most hotels charge R7-R8 per beer. So don't drink or eat here,...

Our stay was everything we expected. Being low season it gave us the opportunity to relax and enjoy the beautiful natural ambiance of Trancoso and its surrounding areas. A delicious hearty breakfast consisting of typical Brazilian delights was served...

Very nice and quiet hotel in a bohemian neighborhood in Salvador. It was a bit difficult to find and get to by car due to the many road construction sites all around (Nov.2015). The hotel provided parking which was a plus. Breakfast was excellent with a combination of buffet and a la carte. The rooms are nice but not awesome. We would not hesitate to come back. TIP: we...
