Where to stay in Surat Thani Province
Surat Thani Province hotels & accommodations

Stayed there on the 22nd till 24th December 2018. The room was very neat and clean. Location is walk-able to the street/shops. The hotel seems very new. The only issue we had was the time of checking in and for the coupon they've provided for the foods. We've booked for 4 rooms and requested to get the room side by side. So it took them about 45 mins to sort the room...

I can't say enough great things about this hotel. Stylish, upscale but comfortable, the resort strikes a welcome balance between 5 star service and laid back beach vibe. The breakfast is phenomenal, and included if you book on Agoda. For those who didn't leave the laptop at home, the WIFI is strong throughout the entire resort. This means catching up on emails or d...

Absolute heaven from beginning to end! We had booked to stay in a second floor, balcony jacuzzi room, but were informed upon arrival that we had been upgraded to a top floor ocean view jacuzzi room. The wonderful staff informed us they always try to upgrade where possible. The room was both rustic and luxurious and every need had been considered- the insect repellent ...

From the second we checked into the hotel, almost everything about this hotel was just amazing. We were super early when we arrived, but the hotel staff gave us a place to change into beach clothes and led us to the beach, introduced us to the bar staff and got drinks in our hand. It was a good start. The Sala Pool Villa was very nice--though the completely outdoor t...

Among all the hotels i have stayed, SALA Chaweng is the best of the best. With great hospitality and very good view, you will experience unforgettable stay in this hotel. Starts upon check in, the staffs already impressed you with special offers for the soap, pillows. Everything will be prepared to suit you. I booked for partial sea view room and it has great view. Sensimar is a wonderful hotel and perfect for relaxation. Chefs are the best of the best in Thailand and a couple of us enjoy the foods in the hotel so much in these 4 days. Poor us to visit Koh Samui at the perfect rainy and flooding period. We stayed in the hotel completely 4 days with no where to go. We stayed in a pool villa but we were not able to enjoy the po...

This was our 2nd time in Koh Phangan but by far the best trip, largely due to staying at the Coast Resort. The hotel is beautiful designed, with a modern aesthetic, by the owners whom I’m told are all architects. The resort really caters to a younger and hip crowd; I’d say mid 20’s to mid 40’s from what we could see. (We like that it's not a family hotel) We upgraded ...

I first visited the Ark Bar for the day while staying at another 5 star hotel. I liked the hotel so much I actually left my other hotel (prepaid) and booked a room at the Ark Bar. The restaurant has a wide selection of food and is priced cheap and it taste GREAT! The hotel has an amazing pool and beach with a DJ playing along with Saxophone and Drums on some nights....

Awesome hotel with great facilities, truely a resort feel although not huge and easy access to the outside world. The beech it is on isn't the best, not the softest sand nor compacted so an effort to work through. It really needs a good beach comber to improve it. Down the way there is the fishermans village which has lots of restaurants and pubs, so many that if you ...

We arrived at the hotel within 2 hours of booking. Reception had all documentation ready and were able to put us into our room straight away. It was light, airy and clean with a view of the ocean. Ground floor rooms were set around the pool with their own private swimming areas which more than compensated for losing the view of the ocean. The restaurant offered wonderf...

Myself and my wife had a brilliant couple of days here. We booked villa 7 as it looked to be the best and weren't disappointed (the price is a reflection of how good it really is). The room service for meals including breakfast really makes the stay out of this world, being able to enjoy your meal in your own private villa with the incredible view is absolutely pricel...

I have walked across whole stretch of Lamai Beach and I can say with confidence that our villa is best in term of design and layout (just in front). Now of course there is security issue with staying just in front of beach, other unknown people can just break into your villa at night and tide issues. There is no direct way to just walk out to the beach (had to jump to...

i wanted to take my girlfriend on a holiday that would take her breath away. although i did keep the hotel a surprise (and may have even played it down on the way there!) the entire experience upon arrival; the location, hotel grounds, service, private beach/bay, and finally the awe inspiring villa itself ended up bringing her to tears of joy and gratitude - mission ac...

After 3 horrible nights at the Seashell Resort next door. We absolutely had to move out of that shathole. We are a couple times at the always busy Sairee Restaurant and saw it had 2 awesome pools and the staff were friendly. We booked a poolside room and it was great. The room itself is small but it didn’t matter. The AC worked fine. The pools were good! Above averag...

What an amazing resort! We loved it, kids loved it, even grandparents loved it (we were a big group). Rooms are very big, very spacious. The place is clean and quiet, the beach is breathtaking. When I booked the rooms, I read reviews saying that the garden view rooms are little outdated and haven't been redecorated like the beach side villas. It's true but it really di...

In short: staff is SO nice, its CLEAN, location PERFECT, value for money YES! The staff was absolutely adorable and nice! Even the cleaning staff was witty and so friendly. The location was just perfect, away from the party and airport noise, a good long walk down the beach and you were in the main shopping area. Just perfect. And if you don't like to walk the recep...

villa - spacious, nice design (award winning)outdoor shower and private pool are exceptional experience ! food - dining on the rock - the 10 course meal was amazing food - dining on the hill - you can see the sunset and the buffet (thai) was also amazing and good value (5 stars+ resort) butler - sort out booking for meals, buggy and departure nicely. resort pool -...

Travel with my wife. Arrived at hotel reception which is top of the hill with breath taking scenery. When our room is ready, hotel guest relation manager show us around the room and explained the facilities within the room. She also share there are complimentary activities such as boat excursions, snorkeling, kayak, yoga and so much more. Unfortunately we only stay f...

We stayed at Thai beach, Villa F, from 24.2.17 till 7.2.17… we are a couple (Israelis) with 3 daughters (age of 6 year, 3.5 years, 8 month). I read a lot of reviews before booking this resort… most of the reviews were very good. After staying for 2 weeks in this resort I believe the “bad” reviews which other people wrote are a “one time issue” that might happened… in g...

We had an amazing time here! We stayed 4 nights in the panorama view room (102) it deserves 5 stars! The view was incredible almost like a dream we didnt want to leave the room or hotel. The sunsets on the roof were beautifull this panorama room is build like an appartment in which only a kitchen is missing! Its a 360 degrees glass bedroom with two balconees you can...

This place is the best location of Sairee beach, and many of the locals I met diving said it was one of the best hotels on the island. Pickup and check in were a breeze and exactly as we would have liked. It was the first time that we have been served warm popcorn as we arrived at a hotel, it went down a treat. We booked for 4 days and found the place so nice that we...

The hotel is in a very good location, a few minutes walk from the main street and the beach, the staff are super nice and help out with everything. A bit noisy because the airport is close. Breakfast is ok, not the best I definitely recommend the room with the pool access!

Lamai Wanta is only 2 minutes from the center of Lamai (located on the island of Ko Samui, in the province of Surat Thani), close to restaurants, shops etc., yet very quiet and relaxed. Rooms are very clean, the restaurant & pool area is very nice (suitable for people travelling with small children). The beach is beautiful, v. good for swimming. There is also a DVD-lib...

After did for so many filtered of hotel, thanks god, this is the best selection of hotel. We enjoyed big pool and beach front hotel room. But the hotel is a bit inside from main road, you will need to walk out like 5-6 mins to access to main road. Therefore we rented a bike with hotel so that we able to drove to far to explored others areas than Lamai beach. We would l...

Ko Tao is the one place I would definitely go back to during my trip in Thailand. As far as hotels go, this isn't really 5 star but we found everything just perfect. The hotel has its own beach with amazing snorkelling (probably better than the tours!) the staff are wonderful and there is a beautiful restaurant over the water where the sun sets. (It's as romantic and r...
Cheap places to stay in Surat Thani Province

The staff was the best part of our stay, they were very helpful. The room was good for the money paid. It was a party hostel leading up to the Full Moon party with lots of fun people around to socialize with. The room was fairly loud when the nearby bars were pumping sound - bring earplugs if you want to go to sleep early or if you sleep lightly. The wifi is slow if mo...

One of the best hostels i’ve visited on my trip to Thailand. Hostel has a relaxed vibe during the day with great food and delicious fruit shakes from their own cuisine. During the nighttime there’s always someone hanging around at the bar or the free pool table to play a game of killerpool! Kitchen has great food at affordable prices. Bar has happy hour from 1-3pm and ...

The place only open 2months ago, The room is basic but very funtional, we had a balcony too. It gets a little hot maybe they can improve to a/c the rooms in the future. It's a family business, Pim is really nice, you can rent motorbike here it's cheaper then others place. Also do you laundry here, it's cheaper and she will wash it and ironing all include! For the gue...

The hostel was in an amazing location for us. I was initially sceptical of being so far away from Haad Rin, but having since been there, I’m glad we were! You’re two minutes walk from the beach, and have plenty of eateries, 7/11, bike rentals places etc within 1-2 minutes walk. It’s about ten minutes in a taxi from the pier, right on the main road. Stephane the host w...

Golden beach resort is a family run resort. Once we arrived, we were warmly welcomed n greeted by the owner. We had a good talk. He shared the interesting things to see with us. The events happening in the area. It was a great start of the day as we talk to the owner. He is also a coin collector. If u have some spare change of ur country currency give it to him. Better...

The staff are definitely the best thing at this hostel they are all lovely and really helpful. The hostel is really clean with comfortable beds and a nice social atmosphere. Great location close to the beach and cheap restaurants. Recommend paying a little extra for an a/c room.

I only paid about $7.50 Aus per night and was pleasantly surprised with their most basic room. The mattress was very hard but other than that room was bright, clean and felt very new. Shared bathroom facilities were clean enough with good mirrors etc. Beach is right there and the restaurant and bar is really chilled and nice to hang out in. Bit more expensive than I'd ...

I really enjoyed this hostel. The pool overlooking the ocean was beautiful, and the bartender is the coolest and sweetest person ever! Everyone was in love with her. When I was there, there were tons of awesome travelers staying there and I had the best time getting to know everyone. It was a great and super fun stay!!

Located right next to the National Park entrance. The place is extremely clean. Lovely staff, I felt like I was staying with a family. Staff speak really good English, they helped me to organise a visit to khao sok national park and also with the buses to continue my trip. I was in a fan room with a beautiful balcony and nice views over a gumtree field. Definitely the ...

Due to a overbooking we were upgraded to a villa. Everything was very clean and the hostel has a nice pool! The owner speaks very good English and was so nice and helpful! She made a private trip to the Jungle Club with us - amazing! Thank you for everything! It was the best accomodation during our trip!

Clean hostel. Good A/C in rooms and excellent showers. Friendly staff. Convenient location 5 mins from beach, near food market and health food shop, but away from party noise. Large chill out area but they could utilise it more to create social space. I would return here.

The hostel was great! It was super clean, the food was great, and it is about 100m to the entrance of the park. You get a bottle of water and a roll of toilet paper on your bed every morning, you can get your laundry done for cheap, and they have a little store as well. They have small lockers you can put your valuables in and they will book tours or your bus onward fo...

We planned to stay 4 days and ended up being there nearly 2 weeks! The fan bungalow gives you all you need. Comfy beds, spacious bathroom with good hot showers, in room safe, enough space on hangers or shelves to put your stuff away. Little balcony where you can relax in your own hammock. All bungalows are located in a very green garden! The best thing about Shiralea ...

It was fantastic. The owner speaks mandarin (Beijing accent) and he was very accommodating towards me. My flight was delayed an hour and I took the latest ferry (7.30pm) from Donsak and reached at 11pm+, he still greeted me with a smile. When I left, he has already prepared the deposit I paid and I didn't need to wait for anything. His parents are so gentle and kind as...

Amazing, clean, cold aircon, kind of close to samui airport and the main part of town, can rent scooter from hostel normal samui price, taxis charge way more, no taxi meter on samui! Very friendly korean guy when i checked in. He spoke good english and gave me lots of info and booked me a ferry for 300thb to go to ko phangyang for the next day. Definitely stay again, e...

Hi there! We stayed at Tam's after booking at the last moment through agoda website and it was very relaxed with a friendly and helpful owner. The room was very spacious and clean and we had a hot water shower. It is very easy to hire a motorbike from the owner (you don't have to leave your passport !). In other places in Chaweng you had to leave the passport which I w...

I was there unfortunately during the storm and spent the majority of my time held up in my room waiting it out. The cleaning staff speak zero English, just Russian which makes communicating difficult. There's only one fan for the whole dorm bungalow so it doesn't reach everyone. The bed sheets were too small for the bed and kept coming lose all the time. Wi-Fi was ok b...

Nice little bungalow. Bit away from the towns so food choice is limited within walking distance, your best hiring a scooter and making your way around on that - not just for food but for exploring the island. As for beach, nothing great, checked it out once and never returned. If you're wanting a private beach or even a well sized beach, look elsewhere or just hire a s...

Nice and clean place where to stay. It's near Samui main road so you can easily travel around island, not so far from beach. Stuff is friendly and helpfull. Bed's are big and comfortable. It's a little difficult to find hostel. It's not on place where map show it is. More on south, on lights left ;)

From the perfectly clean room, to the absolutely warmest staff that we have encountered on all Asia. La Casa Tropicana will exceed your expectations. We had a gorgeous ocean view along with a very delicious and unexpected free family breakfast. The whole staff (english and Thai speakers) go above and beyond for you even when they do not need to. (Mimi was lovely) and t...

Enjoyed 2 nights at the Sai Daeng Resort. The room was lovely. We had a great balcony with views of the ocean and stars at night. We booked a beachfront room, as we were traveling with our inflatable paddle boards, and wanted to have easy access to the beach and storage for the paddle boards. The resort provides free shuttles from the ferry to the resort (on arriva...

I have nothing what was not good about this hotel. The best hotel in Koh Pha-ngan. It was a lovely stay, big rooms, clean, the stuff is amazing. Like everything was perfect!! The breakfast is amazing, the best breakfast what I had in Thailand in this 5 weeks and the best stay. Thanks for the nice stay and a really good job for this hotel! Well done. Thanks a lot ass we...

This is our best experience in Thailand during our 3 weeks here! The staff is fantastic and unbelievable friendly! A hide away from the Haad Rin area. 100m from the hotel you have Koh Maa and a fantastic beach, another small resort next door with great thaifood! We had a deluxe room which were very spacious with a big terrace, the only thing is that you don't have a ...

The hotel is located in a very quiet part of Samui with not too many good restaurants nearby. We came here for relaxation and that's exactly what we got. The beach isn't the best that Samui offers, but it was quiet and nice enough. Lipa Noi and Taling Ngam beaches(15-20 mins drive away) are a must see.The pools are gorgeous and the staff were attentive and friendly. Co...

We chose to take the mini-van offered at the Airport to anywhere on the island for 150 baht per person, and it turns out this saved us 300 baht from what the Hotel would have charged. We were greeted with a drink and cool towel and the Reception staff were very helpful with all our questions throughout our stay, as this was our first time to Samui. Our room was huge,...

We chose this hotel due to the reviews here on Agoda and were not disappointed. We had booked a superior room and when we arrived we were given a room on the fourth floor which was very nice but quite loud because of a constant generator noise which we thought would have made it impossible to have a good night sleep. When we talked to the reception they were very hel...

we recently returned from samui and enjoyed our stay at the dara samui beach resort and spa. we found our room to be large and well equipped with a huge bed, nice furniture, wall decorations, large bathroom, a personal safe and free lan cable internet. the hotel was clean and was designed with many outdoor sitting areas near greenery and fish-filled water features. wal...

We booked the sarann for our honeymoon the staff were welcoming and friendly, a few special touches to the room for our honeymoon. The villa was perfect, large bed, clean. The bathroom had a rain head shower and a large bath. Private pool was awesome with great views, very private as the rocky end of the beach so nobody was walking past the villa. Good selection at br...

This little gem can be found off the beaten path which is a welcomed sanctuary from all the hustle and bustle of the centre. Free shuttles operate at various points in the day if you want to explore the activity in the area, most tours will collect you from the hotel, if not, there is always the option of hiring a motorbike or scooter (be warned the journey to and fro...

The resort deserves 4 stars. It is perfect place to stay for chill and relax holidays. Stuff is very professional and very friendly. I would recommend families with kids to stay there for a long stay. We have been ther for 8 nights and we were sorry regretting to leave. There is room for kids which our boys in pre-shool age enjoyed and activities you can book and have ...

we booked one night at montra, and when we got there we were literally blown away and booked to stay there the entire time. the price for the room on agoda was amazing, and we only booked the standard room - but it was almost like a mini palace! the decore, the bed, the bathroom, was just gorgeous. we couldnt believe our luck. i loved it there! its close to the pier, w...

Me and my wife were celebrating our wedding anniversary, we booked through Agoda at a double deluxe room but we upgraded to a villa because it is more romantic and the nearest to the beach, the restaurant and mid way to the reception... The Hotel offered us a Fruit basket when they knew which is a very nice action from them. The villa Location, design is very comforta...

We thought Le Murraya was ok. 3/5 I'd say, not 4/5. The rooms were in need of redecorating and the breakfast options wasn't anything spectacular. There was loud noise form the Muay Thai boxing events held on a Saturday and Wednesday till 1am in the morning. We tried to arrange a taxi transfer from the hotel to Surat Thani airport and the reception staff gave us a price...

The best thing about this hotel was waking up and looking out over the balcony to the sea. Great views. Our room was detached, and had great privacy. Could pretty much have walked out and sat on the balcony naked, and no one would be any the wiser. Staff were generally pleasant and helpful, mostly Cambodians. They keep out of your way but are happy to assist if needed....

5-star for service. I had the best stay here. The staff was absolutely accomodating. I didn't like the first bamboo hut they put me in so asked for a change and they let me move into this gorgeous hut with panoramic view of the sea. Ask for BB7, it's the best hut. The open air shower can get a bit chilly at night. There's a big lizard that lives nearby and would come o...

3rd time I've stayed here, and I will stay again, as it pleases me every time. It's perfect for what we need, especially with having an energetic 2 year old. The hotel looks out onto the beach, and it's the nicest part of this beach....however, this time of year the tide is always in which means the beach is quite small now...the other times I've been in may and Augu...

We booked the Luxury Sea view Room. We could see the swimming pool and beach, which was really nice. We Stayed in KC when we first arrived in Samui and went off away from Chaweng to other hotels, and came back to KC again. Our 18 days in KC, we stayed about 5-6 days. Rooms are good, except that we did get a room with the jacuzzi not working and had to change the room. ...

OZO is a great property on great beach in Samui. It's not going to wow you with excellent design or excellent food, but it does what it does very well. We booked at the OZO because it was centrally located in the shopping area and on the beach, plus it's just a 10 minute taxi to the airport. We only did one night, but we could have easily done 3 or 4. The rooms a...

Our stay at the Jamihkiri was utterly fantastic. The resort is out of this world - it is perfect in every sense. The rooms are spacious and well equipped and have balconies with stunning views.
