Surrounded by the White Mountains, Samaria Village is within a 10-minute walk from the entrance of Samaria Gorge at an altitude of 1200 metres. It offers spacious villas with fireplace, free Wi-Fi and a furnished balcony overlooking the countryside and the courtyard. A fully equipped kitchen with fridge, coffee machine and microwave is included in all villas at the Agriorodo. Each has a dining area, a living room with armchairs and sofa and an LCD satellite TV. Convenient stay to hike Samaria Gorge”

We stayed the night here so that we could get an early start on the samaria gorge hike instead of having to go with a tour group. The trailhead is a 20min walk from the villa, so the location was good for us. The villa has everything you'd need, even a dishwasher. There's no AC as it's pretty cool in Omalos, even in summer, so there's really no need for AC. Michael the manager was really lovely and arranged for transport for us from our apartment in Chania to Samaria Village (since there's only one bus a day from Chania in the early morning and we didn't want to spend the day in Omalos). He was really friendly and helpful.
