Everything was superb. Our room was extremely clean, large and there was so much attention to detail. we had a bath, pool, and day bed on our patio and watched the sunrise from a warm bath and pool every morning looking out a the view over the river and hills it was stunning. the pool was excellent in our room. We could hop in and cool down at any time. service and staff were excellent across the entire resort. the food at the restaurant was great, we loved everything we had. we were on the top floor, and there was a lift down to level one with some steps to the ground. the breakfast was amazing, the location and the food both and the capaccinos!.amazing selection, everything you could think of. just a short 13 minute walk to the village with restaurants and bars and shops. they also had a shuttle service but we did not use choosing to walk. the beach was ok at high tide there was no beach at the resort but it was low ride most of the day. Pool area was great and plenty of spare loungers to relax on. The hotel building was stunning as were the gardens.

We stayed at Santhiya Tree for a total of 3 nights. The road to the hotel is a little way off the main strip so a bike or car is definitely required. As you approach the hotel, you are presented with the view of the beautiful wooden structure of the main building. This is where we stayed, in a pool suite. The room was spacious, clean and included all the facilities required. The main highlight of course is the private pool that overlooks the mountains and river below. The photos don’t do it justice. There are a selection of villas available leading up to the (small) beach, each with their own private or shared swimming pools, but I never felt jealous of the guests staying in these due to the sheer quality of our room. The hotel grounds are beautiful and immaculate with groundskeepers regularly seen. While we never ate at the restaurants, we did have the breakfast which was wonderful. A large selection of western and Thai options available. I’d like to commend the staff who were excellent in every way. From check in to check out, every staff member on site delivered an amazing amount of care and quality service. I also want to shout out to the musicians playing traditional Thai instruments over breakfast. A lovely touch. If you are staying on Koh Chang, travel a little further south from the main town and you will be rewarded with a beautiful and relaxing experience.

Hotel is beautiful. Food is delicious. Both breakfast bar and sea front restaurant. Staff are very friendly and always will to help. Can rent scooter from hotel for transport or hotel can arrange private taxi for you but also has it's own shuttle that runs people into the main road every hour. We came here for 4 days for my partners birthday and come back from shopping to find the room cleaned and a birthday cake waiting for her. A lovely surprise. I would highly recommend this hotel.
