Clean and spacious rooms, comfortable beds, cool air conditioning. The beach is wide and the hotel pays attention to details. They provide beach chairs for guests to relax. The sand is fine and the sea water is clear. We can go snorkeling right from the beach and see fish. At night, when the tide is low, we can use flashlights to catch crabs on the beach. The breakfast is varied, delicious, fresh, and clean. All the staff are very attentive to customers. They have golf carts to pick up guests from their rooms and take them to the restaurant. They also provide cable cars for customers to travel between floors. We had an elderly person with us and they allowed them to sit in the golf cart to move around the resort. The dinner is delicious, especially the four cheese pizza and the French fries. The hotel offers many activities, such as kayaking to the nearby island. This is our second time staying here.

We booked two types of rooms for this trip, pool villa and Grand deluxe sea view. The staff provided excellent service from the lobby to the room, with smiles and full dedication. The pool villa room was spacious, beautiful, and clean, and the kids had a great time playing in the pool and didn't want to leave. As for the grand deluxe room, it was exciting to take the cable car up the hill. The room itself was spacious and had a stunning sea view from the top of the hill. The breakfast was delicious with a wide selection, especially if you stay in the pool villa, where you get a special zone with a million-dollar view and attentive staff serving drinks throughout. The surrounding atmosphere of the hotel was incredibly beautiful, and you could walk far when the tide was low. There was a sandy beach nearby, and the sunset was breathtaking in the evening. At night, you could lie in bed and stargaze from the skylight, it was the most peaceful experience. There is a 7-Eleven and shops near the hotel, and it's close to Bang Bao pier for diving trips, but driving up and down the hill can be a bit thrilling. Overall, it was excellent, and if we come to Koh Chang again, we will definitely stay here.

The accommodation is very beautiful and has two entrances. If you need to check-in, go to the lower entrance. There is a Romantic Road walkway with many beautiful viewpoints and a lift that looks like a gondola (I wonder how much they invested in it). You can walk far down to the sea and even walk across to the island when the tide is low (not suitable for kayaking when the waves are strong). Driving on the island is not difficult. There are many crowded white sand beaches and also many at Klong Prao Beach, but where we stayed, there were not many people. However, waiting for the natural bay boat ride to and from the island takes a very long time. There are many cars and the line is very long. It's better to go on a regular day. When will they build a bridge? Tourism will boom even more because the attractions are very beautiful.

The hotel is very clean and has a beautiful view, it seems to have the most beautiful view on the island. Going up to the hotel's viewpoint, the panorama view is very beautiful. The staff is very friendly, and the service is good from the front desk to the restaurant staff who take good care of the guests. The breakfast is delicious with a lot of options to choose from. If I come back to Koh Chang, I will definitely stay here again. ^^
Great for short stays”
Sylvan is in a great location nestled at the end of Kai Bae Beach. The resort is far larger than it looks, beautiful jungle gardens and pools to choose from. Room was large with nice balcony and exceptional views. Food and beverages are generally a lot more expensive than most, but great quality. Breakfast is good but the breakfast room is rather like a mess hall instead of what one would expect from a resort of this standard, choose a table on the terrace rather. A few cons; Why are you still providing plastic water bottles? Do like others and use Glass and refill. You cannot simply use ‘Save our Planet’ as a slogan to washing towels for your own convenience or cost savings, you need to embrace the concept. We had issues with our central room controller constantly going on and off, it controls air con and lights etc, but they sorted it out quickly. Same with phone in room, was on the blink but they fixed it on request. Be aware of the monkeys, they can open doors and have a little party in your room…😂 Litter and pollution is a bit of a problem in low season everywhere, but Sylvan seem to be one of the few resorts who really do keep the beach clean… If you don’t mind a large resort, the. This is a good option, but there are other boutique resorts to choose from.
