On a budget? Find Cheap Hotels in Ko Pha-ngan, Thailand

"This is our best experience in Thailand during our 3 weeks here! The staff is fantastic and unbelievable friendly! A hide away from the Haad Rin area. 100m from the hotel you have Koh Maa and a fantastic beach, another small resort next door with great thaifood! We had a deluxe room which were very spacious with a big terrace, the only thing is that you don't have a toiletdoor, just wardrobes doors and a half glass door, but what the hell for us was no problem. We came from the Thongsala area and asked the hotel if they could pick us up, and they did, for free! Well cleaned, well maintained, good restaurant(not fantastic) but a great bartender(Tuk-Tuk) who made the best Long Island and Margerita we tasted in Koh Phangan! "

"We travelled 3weeks in Thailand, we spent 6 days in Koh Phangan in the resort and we had the nicest experience in Thailand. Even the standard room was very comfortable and very clean. Great location, beautiful beach, good restaurant with a bbq on the beach every evening and extremly friendly and competent staff!!!! I highly recommend the resort, we would come back again!! :)"

"This is without a doubt the best place I stayed in Thailand!! Booked here for a few days post-full moon party, there's still loads to do in Koh phangan, I recommend the waterfall party!! The resort is a bit of a walk up to it so maybe not the best place for people with walking difficulties but the views are amazing! It's so hard to believe you're only a few mins away from Haad rin where the full moon party is! The rooms all seem to be a chalet style, all with beautiful views! The rooms had comfortable beds, good air con and no insects! But what really makes this place is the wonderful staff!! Reception staff made us feel so welcome from the beginning, bar and restaurant staff also couldn't do enough to help you. Including carrying cocktails down to the pool for you all day! Special thanks to the waiter Ali who kept us all entertained and allowed us to pick our own music at the bar. Food is lovely here, and you get breakfast included in your room. I can't recommend this place highly enough, the service and the warmth of the staff made it a great experience!"

"We arrived at the hotel and had booked a garden view room, however there were lots of mosquitos flying around so after the first night we requested a pool view room and paid an extra 100 baht a night. This room was much better, no mosquitoes at all. Breakfast starts at 8am but it can take half an hour for your American breakfast to arrive but the coffee and juice is served straight away. The pool is very clean, (plenty of sun lounges available) the staff are friendly and the hotel is in a good location near to the Ando Location Mexican restaurant and several bars. Probably a good idea to hire a scooter for 200 baht a day at the shop next to the hotel so that you can tour around the island. I will return to this hotel again when visiting Koh Phangan and recommend it for value for money."

"Group of 4 stayed here after another hotel messed us around at full moon time. Can't comment on price or value for money as Agoda paid for us to instead stay here. We stayed in a family suite which had two rooms and a bathroom. Lots of space, nice area to chill out front. Breakfast was ok. Staff were OK. A bit far from full moon but didn't really like Koh phangan in general - it's just a place where people are constantly trying to rip you off."

"i have not much to say exept giid thibg about this place ! we had the sea view room and was amazing ! staff always smile at you and say hi and ready to help you. take the included breakfest it worth it ! its a buffet and you can have omelette bacon pancake brownies toast cereal croissant fruits etc and thai food aa well ! we stayed at 15 hotels in thailand so far and it was the best bed, so confy! usully they are hard... rooms are big clean and bathroom too ! only bad thing i have to say is its not so soundproof so if you have loud people next door jt migth disturb you. well located to haad rin beach and party but bit far from town . pool and bar is nice too.. dont hesitate to go there it worth it ! "

"Located directly at the pier (5 minutes), kindly staff, beautiful bungalows at the seafront with hammock and biiiig comfortable bed !!! Very quiet but restaurants and 7/11 5 min away. Only thing that we missed in the bungalow was a fridge. You have to book with AC, otherwise it's too hot inside. We stayed one night and after discovering the north of Ko phangan we came back for 5 nights. We totally recommend this very new and beautiful place to anyone !!!"

"The first thing that struck me about Milky Bay was the space between and the sheer size of the villas. We stayed in Villa and if you are tossing up between a villa and a normal room I urge you to splash out and get this style of room, worth every penny. Everything from the second/day bed in the corner, the couches, the spacious bathroom... having stayed in a few different styles of resorts and hotels since starting to holiday in Thailand this place is definitely my favourite. We hired a scooter (which was a workhorse) for our stay through the hotel and didn't get scammed, so this place can be trusted. We also got out DVDs, they have a good selection of brouchers and a nice looking pool. We also got massages every day, the ladies were awesome! We also had breakfast & dinner most days here and were never bored with the selection. We did get sick for a night or two, we're not sure if it was from the ice in our many (many) cocktails or something we caught beforehand, but if in doubt stick to beer in Koh Phangan. This resort is also in between Haad Rin and Thong Sala which was handy for all our travel and partying needs, also close to the cross roads to head up to Canopy Adventure and Thong Nai. All in all this is a top place to stay and would definitly recommend it to friends and family and while we like to try a new place every time we come to Thailand it will be hard to top this place."
