This is that type of review when you have to find something meaningless to complain, because everything else was perfect, so here it is: I got an ocean front room, yay, but... I had to actively stand at the window to look outside. I mean, I expected to be able to appreciate the beautiful vistas of Barra da Tijuca whilst laying in bed and I couldn't because the windows are higher up on the wall. That's it. LOL. Everything else was great, especially the service provided by the super friendly staff. The hotel restaurant buffet had interesting salads and good deserts. The a-la-carte options were lacking some oomph, but what we tried was tasty. The room was very clean and tied up daily by the staff. I recommend this for both short and longer stays.

Perfect four day stay”
Very nice hotel right across from the fantastic Barra beach. Nice and clean rooms with the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in. Nice breakfast, friendly staff. They easily accommodated my upper floors room and late checkout request. Barra beach is much better and less hustle than Copacabana in my opinion. Less vendors, less stress. And yet Copacaban, Ipanema just a Taxi/uber/bus ride away, and I did explore Copacabana a couple of times. The first trip to Copacabana I took the regular taxi at about 80 reals, then I rode back on the uber at about 40 reals..the next time I took the bus, with the bus stop right across the street from the hotel, at 4 reals one way !!! Bus number 2TR Just a tip :-)

Lovely hotel just on the beach. The rooftop pool has an amazing view and serves lunch (although vegetarian options were very limited). The staff were always lovely and helpful, speaking many languages. The breakfast was great with loads of options. I personally also loved the grand open lobby with nice Christmas decorations. Definitely great value for money!

The hotel is great, however, the pool is so small for the amount of rooms, and was always so crowded :( The wifi wasn't good in my room and it was never fixed after contacting the staff so many times. Besides this, the room was clean and bed was so comfortable. Breakfast is AMAZING!

Context : One night stay Check-in : 20 minutes wait in queue to get to counter !! Only 2 staff behind 4 reception points, no-one came to help, staff i asked to get extra help didnt react. Swimming pool : Don't come for the pool, it's really just a large hot tub when more than 10 peopel are in it - and bear in mind there are 12+ floors in the hotel with at least 20 rooms per floor i guess = 480peope assuming two per room ! Beach: Lovely beach and hotel gives you a beach towel to take there. However what is NOT explained (when it should be!) is that all the umbrellas and deck chairs are rental - none associated with the hotel despite the W on the back (for Windsul!!). Not a lot at R$50 but annoying! Nice though was that the few sellers didn't give us a hard time. Decided to grab a quick afternoon meal before going out (and thank you hotel for the 4pm late check out). Nice talapia but it was 1-1/2hrs later ! bfore we headed up stairs and now only had 15 minutes to check-out - and yes the room key didn't work! And the final pain - a 30 minute wait in the queue to check-out. Just as I got to the counter they added extra staff. So if you go here, allow plenty of time extra for everything. We came to go to a show on the Saturday night and enjoy a slow Sunday but it all became rather stressful on both days and it was nice to walk away knowing we wouldnt go back! The old saying - the customer is always right ! They need to learn who the customer is and then focus on his satisfaction!

Lowcost service in 5 $ hotel !”
I have to pay for every thing so what's the difference between a lowcost hotel and a 5* hotel. No boiler in the room and I have to pay to have hot water to prepare tea a coffe !!!!! No umbrellas because of the Covid but they give the Towels !!!!!!!! But they rent them !!!!! 4* hotels give umbrellas to their client for free (like Grand mercure...) noise in the room because of the mini bar and the air conditionner it's abusive
